This is one of the books that made me try something about what I read. Though many tricks would be already known by tech-savvy junta, I was always the one to be last to pick up ways to improve digital life. And i appreciate the text book kind of approach to all issues. something are pretty amazing: - Disposable email id's - Faking SMS/ calls - Recover deleted file - Updating facebook posts in future.
Saw this on the bookshelf of a friend in Delhi so I bought a copy. A lot of the sections are about using apps, & some sections are just for iPhones or just for Android phones. However I'd definitely recommend it to help make best use of time in our ever-present, ever-absorbing digital world.
Ankit fadia doing a good job, he just hack or discoverd what people are just passionate about and making there life so much easy by using some productivitty techniques and making & breaking the life complexity and help to create opportunity for you to bond with your team over a wide varity of topics. And one more thing sheduling meeting & confrence with doodle is very useful thing.
This book will be very helpful for those who stepped into tech world and it seems not much very useful for techies(at-least you know how to undo your Gmail message) . The main highlight of this book is, it describes each simple steps with good quality images. It makes a reader more clarity about the app and what this app do. Sometimes, even you can turn over the page by looking into the images and without reading the text.Images clearly describes what the apps do. The book is divided into four main sections-functionality,look and feel, security, fun stuff. You can read it in any sequence according to your interests.
Ankit Fadia tried to introduce various app in Google chrome, android app store, ios store to improve our daily life into simpler and more comfortable. For example apps such as,caller ID,Split Bills, picasa, recuva, phonedeck, polkast etc,.. I should say,it is a collection of his TV shows and talks :)
This book was a part of my dad's library, and I just picked it up to read in case I find some tips and tricks to make my digital life faster. Alas! I was wrong in hoping. This may have been a breakthrough book when it was published, but technology has progressed at such an astounding rate that this book has become extremely irrelevant. I will not recommend this book, because it is just a waste of time right now.
I have just finished reading the book, although 3 years have been passed since the book is published, which is very long in digital realm, some of the trick are still very interesting and useful.
