This is a book two everyone and there is no way I can do this without some sort of spoiler to what happens in book one, so if you don’t want to know what happens, go grab Seven Nights to Surrender and come back once you’ve finished!

Rylan will do everything to win Kate’s heart back, and she’d giving him one more week to prove that they fit, that the things they experienced in Paris weren’t a fluke and that they are perfect for each other. Only that proves to be harder said than done. In New York they live in two different worlds… Kate a student working and going to school and struggling to make ends meet, and Rylan, heir to a business he turned his back on, where money has never been an issue.

Kate isn’t sure she can trust Rylan and all she wants is for him to open up and share his true feelings, but after being burned his father, that isn’t as easy as it may seem.

Grey writes stories with heart and Eight Ways to Ecstasy is definitely among my favorites of hers. I just absolutely loved that we got to learn so much more about Rylan here. For as much as he was a playboy before Kate, he is 100% in and devoted to proving himself to her now, and I really thought it was amazing how much he committed himself to her… even if she kept pushing him away.
Kate frustrated me a bit because for all the times she said she was giving him a chance, I really felt that it was only on the surface that that was happening. Deep down, I felt like she wasn’t hoping she would have to put her heart on the line again. So there were times that I really was angry at her while reading because she said she would try but I truly felt she was just counting down the days until she could send him on his way… and I loved when he called her out on it.

As usual, Grey can write some amazing and beautiful and steam sexy scenes and Eight Ways to Ecstasy proves it once again. I can’t tell you all how much I love that I can count on a handful of authors to not squick me out with weird words and awkward sex. I count Grey among these!
If you’re looking for a story of second chances, a story of forgiveness and even growing up and taking responsibility… a story of finding who you’re meant to be, then you’re going to want to give this series a read. I absolutely loved it and I’m hoping we’ll see more from Grey in the way of companion books that will share Rylan’s sister’s story.

Thank you to the publisher for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

Eight Ways to Ecstasy by Jeanette Grey picks off where it last left on the previous book, Seven Nights to Surrender and readers are reunited once again with Kate and Rylan.

Jeanette Grey once again seduces her readers to this provocative story of Kate and Rylan. We are given an in more depth perspective of their relationship. It’s complicated, sexy, and raw. It’s Kate and Rylan. The main focus of this book is the issue of TRUST. And for Kate, trust is something that she is not used to giving after her previous relationship. So Rylan must finagle his way and earn her trust and heart. Can Rylan and Kate get their second chance at love?

The story of Rylan and Kate is an uncut, flawed and realistic relationship that readers can relate to. Their journey to love and happily ever after might not be an easy journey, but through the ups and downs, these two somehow were able to make it work. So if you are looking for an uplifting second chance romance that was brimming with so much passion, sensuality, and romance then I would definitely give Eight Ways to Ecstasy a try but be sure to read Seven Nights to Surrender first as Jeanette Grey definitely turns up the heat with her seductive prose.

In the sharpness of his jaw, she'd found the tender places inside her bones. In the shadows between his ribs, she'd found his heart. She'd found her own.

God, that's just a freaking beautiful line. (and I was crying through the scene)

This book was EVEN BETTER than the last book because it hurt all the time. It had so much angst and it was so emotional because both Kate and Rylan were a little broken and wounded from their time in Paris and how they'd broken each other's hearts. IT WAS GREAT. It was so good to watch them realistically piece together and try to work their way back into each other's lives. And I loved that both of them kept screwing up--- not big mistakes obviously, but the smaller things that could fracture into something bigger if not picked up on- and they picked up on it and immediately set about to work on it so they could make it better.

This story, this sequel was all about the difficulties of making a relationship work. It was about Rylan regaining Kate's trust and whether or not Kate was willing to make the relationship work by risking her heart again and trusting Rylan. The major stumbling block this time was not so much Rylan (even though he had his issues to work through, personal and also with regards to his relationship with Kate) but more to do with Kate's insecurities and trust issues. After seeing how her mother's self esteem and identity had wilted as a result of an overbearing father/husband, it had also inevitably hit Kate, and led her to constantly trying to find a reason to run from Rylan.

Again, this was really catnippy and personal to me because of Kate's insecurities as a person and the guard she had up, and her own vulnerability that bled into her artwork. So when one of the big scenes at the end had to do with her showing Rylan her art---- aka exposing the most intimate part of her soul, and finally letting him in, and showing how much she loved him, it broke me. Again.

I also loved how much Rylan worked for this. Even when Kate gave him so many reasons to give up on their relationship, and kept pushing him away, pushing him out, he came back, and kept giving and giving until it wore her resistance down and opened up to him.

And obviously it goes without saying that the sex was amazing. Rylan's dedication to eating Kate out is truly admirable.

Oh and I also loved Lexie! She reminds me of Billie Lourd from Scream Queens aka Carrie Fisher's daughter. For some reason. I'm thrilled she's getting the next book with Dane. Also, it was really obvious she had been sleeping with Jordan, I can't believe Rylan didn't figure that out.

Again, there's nothing inherently wrong with this book. In fact the writing is really good for a romance book even when the dialogue can get on the cheesy and eye rolly side. I just can't deal with Rylan or Kate. First off the insta-love is insane. In the first book she was thinking it after three days. Noooo. That's not love, that's lust. But this book just continues on the unrealistic love they feel for each other. There's also the fact that both of them use sex for the answer to everything. So needless to say that there was too much of it, which lead to me just skipping most the sex scenes. Than there's these two idiot characters. Kate is a hypocritical naive indecisive moron. Really nothing appealing about her. Rylan is a spoiled rich douche who gets frustrated over everything Kate says or when she doesn't accept his apologies right away. But no worries, sex will fix it, not you know talking like mature adults. I really could point out all his faults but really I'll just leave this with a few quotes and you'll get the point.

"It'd take more than a few orgasms for her to forgive me." loc 99

"I won't let it happen again." His finger slipped a little deeper beneath the cotton. "I'll eat you out every night and every day if you want me to." loc 192

"Please tell me I haven't fucked this up so bad you won't let me be inside you." loc 252

Review for Eight Ways to Ecstasy by Jeanette Grey

Eight Ways to Ecstasy is the most anticipated follow up to Seven Nights to Surrender by Jeanette Grey. This is not a stand alone, you will want to start with book one. Great news for new-to-the-series readers, you don’t have to wait after the oh-my-God cliffhanger, you get to dive right into the rest of Rylan and Kate’s story.

When I finished the first book I was so very upset. I wanted that crazy good happily ever after that I just knew was coming to me and then Rylan is there and Kate is there and the hurts are still too big for them to pick up the pieces. Eight Ways to Ecstasy shows those pieces slowly come together.

Grey did an amazing job of building the tension and keeping the reader fully invested in the push and pull between characters. The odds were stacked against them after the fantasy of Paris was no longer there to keep them in their happy bubble. Outside stresses and past torments slowly insert themselves between Rylan and Kate until everything is torn apart.

I absolutely love this book, this series, this author. My only complaint is the tears! Happy tears, sad tears, frustrated tears… But then there are smiles, laughter, and a powerful chemistry between characters that balances out the tears. The story is an emotional rollercoaster — a beautifully written rollercoaster.

If you’re looking for a sweet story with all the feels you have to read this series. I mentioned chemistry before, for my smut lovers — this is probably one of the most sexually charged book I’ve read this year. The level of eroticism is off the charts and is enough to set your Kindle on fire. Definitely a five star must read with five plus drenched to ruination panties.

description

I enjoyed this sequel so so much. I can’t even! I was fangirling the entire time…

While one of the main problems of the first book was the little action and plot, this book breaks both of those problems. Kate and Rylan actually have lives in this book, outside of the time they spend together, and even when together, they actually go out and interact with other people. Also, they have so much going in their lives besides each other… and the characters’ growth! WOW!

I had some problems with Kate’s reactions on the first book, but I finally understood them here. It was such a different thing to see both of them in their element, and the inclusion of friends and family in the story.

I loved their dynamic in this book. Kate was more assertive to some extent, and Rylan was doing whatever he could to make her see how much he wanted “them” to work. But when things fell apart I was actually surprised… the things they said to each other were real, and they were both so right that it hurt a little.

Ultimately, this being an erotica novel and all, there were some HOT scenes. Hotter than the first book actually . And it was so beautifully written…

Honestly people, I think I’m in love with this book and these characters a bit. I adored it, it was a perfect conclusion to Kate and Rylan’s story, and now I’m excited to read Lexie’s story in the next book.:) So, if you’re into this genre, give this series a go, it’s well worth it.

Eight Ways to Ecstasy is a direct follow up to Seven Nights To Surrender. It starts right where the first book ended, with Kate having been stunned to find Rylan on her doorstep in New York, asking for another chance at their whirlwind relationship that fell to pieces in Paris when his true identity (as a billionaire avoiding his life responsibilities by hiding out in Paris) was revealed. As such, although one could read it as a standalone story, it is more meaningful if read in order. Kate’s agreed to give Rylan seven nights (the same amount of time they spent together in Paris) to prove to her that their relationship wasn’t a mistake and has the foundation on which to build a real future together. But it will take more than pretty words and sex to convince Kate to relinquish her heart again.

I really enjoyed this second and concluding part to Rylan and Kate’s story! Though they get back into bed together pretty fast, Rylan can see that while Kate might be willing to surrender her body to him again, she’s keeping her emotions under tight guard and it’s not going to be as easy as he’d hoped to convince her that they belong together after his seven night trial period is up. I thought Kate was quite smart actually – she knows that she can’t resist her sexual attraction to Rylan so she doesn’t try. The result is some seriously steamy scenes between them, but it’s not until later in the story that her heart starts to get involved again.

Rylan is still struggling through much of this story with his identity as the son of a corrupt businessman (now in jail) who’d been groomed to take over and had instead fled to Paris to get away from his responsibilities. Just because he’s back in New York doesn’t mean he wants that job, but he’s forced to do something about the company, especially as his sister Lexie is counting on him to help her withstand a hostile takeover by other board members. He’s got 90 days to prove that he’s the right man to lead the company, which is particularly difficult since he doesn’t believe it of himself. But as the story progresses, through his interactions with Kate and his sister, he finally is ready to take on the yolk of responsibility and for the right reasons. Up to now, he’d always been trying to protect his younger brother Evan (who he sent away to protect him from their father, and as a result is estranged from him still) and his sister Lexie from their family, instead of really being a part of the family with them. These revelations rock him to the core and help him realize the mistakes he’s been making. And along with understanding what his family role is supposed to be, he becomes aware that to be a man worthy of Kate’s trust he needs to work harder at being totally open and honest with her, about everything. This means sharing the parts of himself that he’s always kept closed off.

Kate is not without her own faults. As a result of having an abusive father, she has low self-esteem and trust issues. In Paris with Rylan, her sense of self-worth had increased dramatically with his confidence in her artistic talent, and despite the fallout of their relationship there, she had taken some of what he said to heart and gone back to college to further her education in fine arts. She’s struggling with her latest assignment, and it’s only with Rylan’s introduction back into her life that she realizes he had set her free in Paris to find her artistic muse – and that her muse is him. He’s very physically attractive and the sketches she did of him in Paris were imbued with her growing feelings for him. But it’s not just trusting Rylan that is the issue – it’s trusting herself enough to open her heart to the man who broke it the first time. It’s only when Rylan shows her how much he’s changed that she is able to admit to herself that she loves him. At the beginning, her hot and cold reaction to Rylan was somewhat frustrating, but she redeemed herself by the end.

I love a hero in pursuit story, and that’s what we have here, as Rylan takes these nights and days with Kate to build up their relationship again and prove to her time and time again that he really cares for her. It’s not easy, and he makes some wrong choices and bad decisions along the way. But in the end, the love that they have for each other is strong enough to be rekindled and the result is an emotional and sexy story of two people who get a second chance. While Rylan and Kate have found their happy ending, the series is not finished and I’m looking forward to reading Rylan’s sister Lexie’s story next! There is a great introduction to her character and her love interest in this story, and she deserves a happy ending too. 4.5 stars for this steamy and emotional conclusion to Rylan and Kate’s romance.

This was my first book by Jeanette Grey. It started out in the middle of a tense scene, which apparently began in the previous book. While I didn't read the first book, you didn't need to in order to like this story.

Kate was a little whiney for my tastes, but I LOVED how determined Rylan was to win Kate's heart and spend the rest of his life f*#king her in new and delicious ways. The sex was HAWT the emotions were deep, and I can totally see this as a movie.

The scene with the camera was beautiful; well-written and layered with sensuality and emotion.

Great book.

I received this book on NetGalley.

Kate Reid's whirlwind romance with billionaire playboy Rylan Bellamy complicated her life in ways she'd worked to avoid. She'd fallen hard for his flirtatious charm and given him the one thing no other man had: her trust. Just as Kate began to imagine a future with Rylan, everything fell apart.

Now she's starting over in New York...but even the glittering streets of Manhattan can't erase the memory of Rylan knocking her off her feet and sweeping her into the most erotic, unforgettable week of her life.

Now it's up to Rylan to show Kate all the ways they fit together . . . and prove that this player has met his perfect match.

Review:
“He wanted her, of course. He’d never had her in a place that felt like his, and there was nothing in the world he wanted so much as to take her apart, to leave her boneless with pleasure and to pour his own need out into her.”

4 miss me stars!

This book picks up where book one left off. Kate is still reeling from the end of her romance with Rylan. She’s now starting over in New York, and no matter what she does, she can’t forget him. Her whirlwind week with him, has left her wanting more. Months later and Rylan still can’t get over Kate either. The man who refuses to feel anything for a woman, can’t stop feeling things for Kate and now he’ll do anything to get her back. But can his advances get through to Kate?

This book is sexy, fun and super romantic. Was there a lot of cheesiness with this book, of course...but it fit perfectly! I loved the story and the dynamics of Rylan and Kate. They are perfect together…. Great book and great series!!

3.5 Stars.

I loved the first book in this series, however sadly I didn't quite feel the same affection for "Eight Ways to Ecstasy." This concluding part of Kate and Rylan's story had me yearning for Paris, I missed the beauty and the romance that had gone hand in hand with book one.. Unfortunately, this time around, It all felt a little a flat, as though some of the magic of the story had been lost on the journey between Paris and New York. It was all a little disappointing.

In the first book, I really enjoyed Kate and Rylan's relationship and I was so excited to see what the continuing story would bring for the pair, however I was so sad to find that things didn't work out in the way that I had hoped. The conclusion to Kate and Rylan's story was a huge reality shock as the couple attempted to give their relationship a second chance following their deeply romantic love affair in France. Rylan was more than prepared to go the extra mile to earn back Kate's trust and win her heart. He would have done anything for her, wearing his heart on his sleeve and making his intentions known. He wanted Kate to be his forever girl, but sadly Kate was choosing to protect her heart and making it almost impossible for Rylan to do anything right. I felt so sorry for Rylan and I became more and more frustrated with Kate as the story progressed. My feelings towards her changed a lot throughout this book.

I am happy to report that there was, at least some beautiful and tender moments during the story that melted my heart and there was also some insanely hot parts too. I especially loved a scene that involved an art gallery and a sports car. That might just be one of my most favourite parts, it's definitely a memorable one! Lol. The sweet and romantic scenes between Kate and Rylan reminded me of how good they were for each other and that small glimmer of hope kept me turning the pages. All I wanted, above everything else, was for Kate to let Rylan into her heart and as I reached the final pages, I realised that even though Kate and Rylan's journey had been a little bit bumpy and a little bit disheartening it had been worth sticking around for, because the end was a gorgeous one. I was left with a big smile on my face and a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart. A happy ever after made it all worth while.

"Love does not have to be a weakness.  Love does not make you less than you are."
Wow where do I even begin!  This is my first book by Jeanette Grey and wow what a book it was.  This is in my top 5 for the year and someone who reads for honest reviews, wow my honest review is a 5!!  This book gutted me, made me feel for both Rylan and Kate.  My emotions were all over the place.  This author brought her A game with this second part to their story.
Kate's home life was horrible.  Her father constantly put her and her art down.  Then she had a horrible relationship that scared her and made her afraid to love or give love to someone else.  She escapes to Paris in the first book and meets Rylan and falls hard.  But Rylan was hiding who he was and trying to run from his past as well.  Rylan's father taught him that love was an invitation to be disguarded or used.
Both Rylan and Kate are trying to recover from their pasts and they find that in each other.  Rylan realises Kate may be the one person who is not swayed by his charm and wealth.  Rylan is hurt over his father's actions that resulted in him being put in prision.  He feels trapped to take over the company he has been groomed to do all his life.
Kate is unsure of herself and hesitant, which causes her to run when things get to serious.  She sees herself unworthy and knows she will never fit into Rylan's lifestyle.  Kate is so hurt, so scared, she would take any excuse to run.  She would keep running, unless she could find a way.....a reason.....not to.  She wants to take a breath and plunge forward, and if he let her...if he still wanted her....to let the water close over her head.  To trust him like the air inside her lungs.  All she ever wanted was that kind of love you read about, the beautiful kind, but the only sort she ever seen had been ugly and wrong.  To make you think you were less than you were.  Will Kate finally trust Rylan or are they doomed before they start.
I urge you to read this book, you will thank me.

This is the second book in the Art of Passion series, and it picks up right where Seven Nights to Surrender left off.

As much as I wanted to love this I didn't. It is well written, and the smut is really hot and sexy. I guess I've come to expect a little bit more plot to go along with my smut in Grey's stories. This may be more of a personal preference, and so I don't want people to think that I didn't enjoy this book, I did. I just wanted to know more about how Rylan managed to get the family company back. I wanted to hear more about Kate's life in school. These parts of the story were glossed over to make sure there were pages and pages of hot sexy times.

Again, I enjoyed this, just not as much as I could have if there was a little more plot added in with the sexy times.

All in all, a good read and if you liked Seven Nights to Surrender and wanted to find out what happened after the little cliffhanger, then check this story out. You will want to read book one before this one. Otherwise, you'll be a bit lost.

4 étoiles !

https://sevaderparlalecture.blogspot....

The swoon-worthy, near-perfect book boyfriend Rylan from Seven Nights to Surrender was glaringly absent from this book. Instead, for the first half, we got creepy, manipulative, selfish Rylan. The way he behaved toward Kate was, quite often, gross and borderline abusive. I've been a fan of Jeanette Grey's for years, but, honestly, the main reason I finished this book is because I paid for it.

Other than some repetitive phrasing, the writing was as good as always; I just didn't like Rylan.

After the way the last book ended, I had to see how Kate and Ryland's story continued.

And this was pretty good. There were some parts that were either a little annoying or seemed to be a repeat of the previous book, but in general, I liked it. I like that both Kate and Ryland have their issues that they're trying to work through. I like that neither of them is perfect and sometimes those flaws get in the way of their happiness.

This book gets pretty steamy at times too. Like, I really liked the chemistry between them in the last book, but this was almost to a new level. Now they have this history between them that just heats things even more.

Anyway, this was good and I was happy with the way it ended.

Son comportement a failli me faire abandonner ma lecture.

Loved the conclusion to the story of Rylan & Kate. Although, I could have kept reading about them as their story is just beginning. I hope that there is a book about Evan, the younger artist brother.

You must read the 1st book to understand #2, which is all about trying to make their love story work in the real world of their very different lives. I did get a bit bored with Kate's insecurities. The plot line is tense but also a bit predictable. Their characters are well developed.

I really loved it, and also the first book, but this even more. Good mixture of hot sex and story. Rylan is really gorgeous.

If they could all be Rylan (sigh)
Kate comes off a little too self important and needy but his patience is infinite until even he realises it isn’t enough.

Eight Ways to Ecstasy (Art of Passion, # 2) by Jeanette Grey ~ 4.5 Stars

“Kate Reid's whirlwind romance with billionaire playboy Rylan Bellamy complicated her life in ways she'd worked to avoid.

It's been months, and Rylan still can't forget Kate. Months since he bared his soul at her feet. Months since he drove away the only woman to ever make him feel. Kate changed his world and now Rylan is determined to win her back-no matter what it takes. After crossing an ocean to reach her, he makes a deal with Kate: One more week, for one more chance. Now it's up to Rylan to show Kate all the ways they fit together . . . and prove that this player has met his perfect match.”

*** This review may contain some spoilers if you have not read book one Seven Nights to Surrender.

Seven Nights to Surrender summary - Kate graduated from college and set out to Paris hoping to find herself and new inspiration. She is passionate about art but her family thinks it’s a waste of time. Torn about her future path, she hopes to find some answers in Paris. There, she meets Rylan. He is mysterious, sexy and speaks fluent French :) Rylan is running from his past family secrets, hiding in Paris and away from his family. He is a playboy, wooing tourists with his charm. Rylan is a no-strings attached, no commitment kind of guy. That is until he meets the shy, innocent Kate. She intrigues him and he finds himself wanting to take care of her and show her the world. They only have a week together but Kate is falling hard and fast for Rylan. Rylan is also emotionally attached – he finally found someone to share his wants and needs with. But he is guarding his identity therefore risking losing Kate forever.

“Love doesn’t have to be a weakness. It doesn’t make you less than you are.”

Eight Ways to Ecstasy picked up right at the end of book one. Kate left Rylan in Paris. She is trying to move on, busying herself with school until one day Kate finds Rylan on her apartment door step. Rylan decides to move back to NY and he is determined to win Kate back, but it is not going to be easy. They both have skeletons that they have to deal with. Kate was hurt so after 3 months apart she is not sure if she can trust Rylan again. It took a lot of shoveling but Kate finally gives in and gives Ryland 7 nights together to see if they can rekindle the sparks they once had in Paris.
In the second part I did not feel same angst and butterflies in my stomach. Both Kate and Ryland already had that first shy, tender, and exciting meeting from the first book. Even though they took a break, neither one had moved on with their lives. Kate, who does not trust anyone, gave her whole heart to Rylan in Paris and she really never got it back. Rylan is on the other hand a rich playboy but could not help himself from falling deeply for one woman. Rylan wants desperately to win her back and he vows not to lie to Kate ever again but she needs time to trust Rylan. So in this book we get to see how they spent the whirlwind seven nights together including disastrous dates, jealousy, and meeting the families.

“I trust you.”
“I’ll never give you a reason not to again.”
“And I won’t go looking for them.”

This book is told in the third person’s POV and has quite a bit of narrative however it does not bother me because I actually was lost in the story. I love the author’s writing style, the dialogues, and just the sweet love story. Rylan is actually sweet and caring. Kate is not really comfortable around money so she may come off unappreciative when Rylan tries to shower her with nice dates. She is more comfortable getting lost in the art gallery, watching a movie and having pizza in a comfortable home. I think being around Kate, Rylan really finds himself and what he truly loves in life. Vice se versa, Kate found herself and her muse – she learns to trust herself and her feelings. Their love story is definitely steamy, sexy, sweet and romantic. I really enjoyed the witty banters between Kate and Rylan; and even on occasion with Rylan’s sister Lexie. She seems like a spit-fire – I would love to read her story next.

Meine Meinung:

This is the follow up to Seven Nights to Surrender and this book picks up right where Seven Nights ends. Rylan and Kate are not in Paris anymore and the fantasy that drove their vacation together is over. It’s back to real life for the both of them and after the disastrous way that Kate finds out about who Rylan really is, she’s back in New York…alone.

No more Rylan. No more sexy times. No more men.

She’s going to focus on her art and she’s got a big project that she needs to work on for her art program but when Rylan shows up at her apartment and begs for a second chance, for seven nights to show her the real him…she can’t help but agree to it because isn’t that what she wanted to know all along? Who he is? What really happened to him? The truth?

Rylan will do whatever it takes to win Kate back. She’s changed his life and he refuses to believe that she doesn’t have feelings for him anymore. He needs her in his life and he’s got seven nights to prove that she needs him in her life too. Putting himself out there is going to be hard and facing his past and sharing it all with Kate is going to be even harder but he’ll do anything to get her back.

The chemistry that I remember from Seven Nights is definitely back in action in this book. Rylan won me over from the very beginning. I saw him try night after night to let Kate in, show her just how important she’s become to him and the hot and cold way that Kate was with him and his feelings should have pissed me off and while it frustrated me, I didn’t hate it. Or Kate. I understood why she felt and acted the way that she did and I couldn’t even blame her. The reality that is Rylan is so different from the Rylan she knew from Paris. Their worlds are completely night and day and she didn’t know how they would be able to fit into each other’s lives.

She didn’t trust Rylan and he knew it. He had his work cut out for him because after the lies from Seven Nights, he was paying for not only his wrongdoings but also her fathers. Her father did a number emotionally on Kate and all these years later, she’s still struggling with her self esteem. Her self worth but over the course of the book, you see her blossom with Rylan’s help.

I adored seeing both Rylan and Kate again. Their romance continued to wow me at every turn in this book and while I was frustrated through some of the book, I still really enjoyed being wrapped up in Rylan and Kate’s world again. Their world was a lot different from Seven Nights but they weren’t. They were still the characters that I fell in love with and I wasn’t sure it was possible but I loved Rylan even more in this book than I did in the last one. He was just so dreamy.

Their romance was deliciously sexy and seeing them come together again, stronger than ever made me happy sigh when I finished. This was a great follow up and I’m so excited for Lexie and Dane’s story to start. Squee!

Eight ways to Ecstasy picks up where the last book left exactly and continues onwards with the story of Kate and Rylan. If you haven’t read Seven Nights to Surrender, stop right here. This book is so tightly connected that reading the review can spoil the book for you.. I loved that though Grey kept things so connected as made for a different story especially with the beginning.
And boy what a way to kick a story off, going straight to the seduction with Rylan gives us a taste of what made Kate take a chance on him and what made us fall in love with him. Grey weaves a seductive story as Ryland tires to win Kate heart back after that one week in Paris where things end badly. However things have changed. That the time together in Paris what they experienced wasn’t a fluke, that they were meet for each other forever. However it is easier said then done.
As these two are like night and day, coming from two different worlds and couldn’t’ get more cliché as they tried . Kate a struggling art student , and Rylan heir to a business empire, a bad boy who turned his back on the business and struck it on his on.
He may know the moves and knows how to push the right buttons. But is Kate willing. As Kate got different ideas about her future for now and Rylan got one thing on his mind. He wants Kate but Kate is a determined woman. How can she trust him when he won’t reveal everything to her. When he won’t thanks to his past that has left him guarding his cards close to his heart.
Will they be able to find a way to happiness and compromise to do so.
The second book Eight Ways of Ecstasy, Grey once again sucks again into the story of Kate and Rylan but this one is another term. They had the chance of falling in love. This time is all about to make sure this can work, they truly can work. Can they grow and learn to give and take. To make things work?
It a beautiful sensual story that will play with your emotions as we return to the story of Rylan and Kate and watch them try to fight for what they believe in. Grey didn’t disappoint with her second visit with these characters and gave a story that you won’t forget in a hurry.
