Captivating!

I was desperate for Isla to be successful in her quest. Do not want to ruin to much for anyone. Will have you on your toes up until the very end! I look forward to the next work!!!

It starts off with Isla marrying someone who she thinks she may or may not love. But who needs love when the union will make her the most powerful witch ever? She has never wanted to be in love, she thinks it complicates things, make you powerless. Then she meets Tobias, shes instantly in love. But how can she love someone her sister and everyone else is telling her, killed her mother when she was younger??
She decides to hunt down the truth with the help of a few others, Alex the best friend, is totally loyal and offering great ideas throughout the entire time, even if she has no powers of her own. Mary has helped them also, she guides them and protects them. Then Tobias is by Isla side, where else would he be, he is also in love, and well they are trying to prove him innocent right?

Only problem I had with the story was the ending. :( But trying to go for no big spoilers so I will leave it at that.

Really great story.

I like Isla she was relatable and all she really wanted was to be the best. Its good because the romance is not too soppy and its great to have a powerful female lead! The story is really sad at parts. I wish I could be as strong as Isla is with the things she has to deal with.

I also love the fact that the book plays on female strength/heroism. Its great to see a male author write about powerful women. A breath of fresh air, actually.

I cant wait to find out if this is over for Isla Stone and am super excited to see where the ending has left her and the rest of her gang.

I fell in love with Isla and her determination to be where she wanted to be.

I am not usually into witchcraft type of books but this one was great as it was not all that cliché.
Each character had a purpose and it was great to watch their bonds form even stronger in their times of hardship.

I enjoyed this book and think it is great if you are into YA fantasy. It was a good easy read. I look forward to hearing more from Isla's story and cannot wait to find out what happens to her next...

I don't necessarily like novellas, but I do love witches, so this piqued my interest. It was a really intriguing story that left me on the edge of my seat. I definitely did not expect the ending, but overall a good read!

I read it in about two hours. It's a quirky story about a witch and I leave it at that as I do not like to do spoilers. I was given this book for a review. I think the story has great potential but needed to be more descriptive. It jumped from one thing to the next very quickly on several occasions. The story plot was pretty good but the ending left you feeling disappointed. It isn't the type of ending where you feel a second story is coming out of it. I gave it 3 stars because of what I stated above. If you like a quirky story and can overlook those couple of things then it's worth the read. I enjoyed it enough to finish it.

Really excitable read, I was guessing all the way through and was desperate to turn the pages! (not literally speaking as I read the Kindle version)

Isla is a great character with a lot of depth and an amazing back story. She is not simple which makes the book so much more enjoyable. She has so much going on and I think like I did, anyone reading this will admire her. I sure did.

The romance: The romantic story lines in this book are really great because it isn't over done. There isn't really to much love mush. Which is great if like me, you like a little romance but not an overdone I love you so much, Romeo and Juliet romance. Of course Isla's love for Tobias is the spine but I appreciate the fact the author has taken time to slowly integrate the characters and has ensured the romance did not destroy the adventure and fantasy aspect of the story.

Overall, The storyline is fantastic. You will not get all of your answers until the very end which is brilliant as I enjoyed the suspense and the build up, which is amazing. I recommend this book to all ages even though aimed at YA. I am 24 and thoroughly enjoyed it. This could potentially be the new Twilight if given a chance. Bearing in mind, I am the biggest Twilight fan girl there is!

Enjoy the story.
