Very useful collection of many ancient ideas, some of which were clearly adapted from the Orient while others are clearly the seeds for our current Western world view. And some of cosmological texts make for fun settings if you ever run out of ideas for your fantasy or sci fi settings.

Diese Kollektion von altgriechischen Fragmenten ist sehr interessant, wie orientalische Ideen viele Denker geprägt haben und andere Theorien schließlich im westlichen Weltdenken als Keime klar erkennbar sind. Das Buch ist außerdem sehr genau mit seinen Quellen und Übersetzungen und führt alle Denker mit erklärenden Texten ein. Meine persönlichen Lieblinge waren die Texte zum Kosmos, die jedesmal gute Fantasy- oder SciFi-Settings abgeben würden und außerdem zu den verschiedensten Atomtheorien.
