Cosset Cove #2

Wilde Deception

Rate this book
After her recent adventure Charlotte Wilde is hoping to enjoy the quiet life. Any hope of this is quickly shattered when she visits Cosset Cove Auction's. She’s there to report on a medieval manuscript expected to sell for millions of dollars. Charlotte then runs into an elderly Professor who informs her the art work is a fake.

Will his revelation draw Charlotte into the shady world of deception and fraud? Is the Professor on the level, or is his accusation merely revenge on an academic community that mocked him for previously inaccurate allegations? When a body shows up more revelations follow that serve only to confound the investigation.

Charlotte, along with Clara, Abigail, Amy and Barney, the huge Maine Coon cat, are determined to get to the bottom of it. All the more so when they are asked for help by a local accused of murder. As they risk the wrath of the law in their race to find a killer, the group of friends come face to face with the ultimate peril. Will the startling climax finally allow them to know the incredible truth?

“A charming traditional cozy mystery in a modern day setting. Contains plenty of light witty humor and will keep you guessing right to the end!”

This a very good story to read for entertainment. I enjoyed all the characters and their various ways. The ending is always happy.
