Chile, sit down somewhere with all them churchy titles... Mama B is back, and this time she has met her match in Dr.-Apostle-Prophet, etc. Falanda McPherson, the evangelist who has come to lead the fall revival at Mt. Zion. With her closest comrades away and other church members afraid of the minister, Mama B quickly becomes the one-woman hospitality committee. Thankfully, Falanda will be staying at the hotel…well…she was staying at the hotel until she managed to get herself kicked out. Now, Mama B finds herself trying to help a woman whose explosive patterns put everyone in danger. Words and prayer alone won’t solve the problem. Mama B has to break ground in Falanda’s heart the best way she knows the expressed love of God. Mama A Time to Plant is book #6 in the award-winning Mama B series by bestselling author Michelle Stimpson. Visit Michelle online at www.MichelleStimpson.com.
Hello, Goodreads community! I'm Michelle Stimpson, and storytelling is my heartbeat. I've found my calling in penning heartwarming women's fiction that offers a seat at the table of family, humor, and hope. As an author, my greatest joy comes from crafting narratives that resonate with anyone seeking to find laughter and light in the pages of a good book. My tagline, 'Read. Love. Repeat.', is a promise of the emotional journey I aim to provide—engaging stories you’ll love and yearn to revisit.
This book was simply fantastic! IMO, the world building was awesome, and the characters were multi-layered.
Simply put, this was an Urban Christian novella that was chock full of "real talk," and no hyper "preach-a-thon fake sugary sweet" religiosity that makes one want to run screaming from the building.
This is what Faith-based fictional writing ought to be. And that is primarily, writing that is captivating, engaging, and thought-provoking. It is a book that makes a compelling argument for an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ, and it one that speaks of God's Grace for everyone (i.e. Atheists, etc).
I enjoyed reading every page of this amazing book.
Once again Mama B opens her heart and home to do God's work. Falanda was a hot mess and had me laughing out loud literally! I love Mama B's compassion. Can't wait to read another Mama B story.
Mama B has done it again. This time she comes in contact with the Great Right Reverend Doctor Prophetess Falanda McPherson, and she ends up having a lot of work to do. This book was funny and gave a lot of spiritual lessons. Michelle did not dissapoint as always.
It’s Revival time, and Mama B meets the speaker of the week, Dr.-Apostle-Prophet Falanda McPherson. Her unconventional preaching methods have turned people off and her actions don’t align with her words. Prompted by the Holy Spirit, she becomes Mama B’s project, and let’s just say…she got the job done!
Lives were changed, and hearts were opened, thanks to Mama B’s obedience.
I didn’t realize how much I missed this comical, yet spirit-filled character. She reminds me of a few Mothers of the church that I’ve encountered in my day. My least favorite character would be a tie between Falanda’s aunt and brother. They were trifling with a capital T. I can’t wait to see what lesson @stimpson.michelle and Mama B have planned for the readers next.
Mama B scores again! Or I guess you could say God scored the winning shot again. As always this book was filled with humor and the goodness of God. If you're quiet enough, God is always talking to you. I could read a billion Mama B books and never tire of them.
I am happy to have found 3 more Mama B books. I have read the other 5 that Follows,Mama B life thus far. I will read the next two in this series. Great story on perseverance.... This is I can't put it down even if it is 2 in the morning!
I don't know how my favorite author does it but she has done it again. Forgiveness, redemption and love. This book addresses so many hard hitting topics of today and tackles them with the relevancy of the word of God.
I am thoroughly enjoying this book. I love this author's writing style and the scriptures. Real life scenarios and how to apply the word. Excellent for believers and unbelievers alike.
This author does not disappoint in explaining, expounding and discussing the love of God. The message of forgiveness and explaining the Word is enjoyable and engaging. I am enjoying this series as well as the other books written by the author.
Love the Mama B character. Mama B has wisdom, knowledge, and the Lord. She is real and down to earth, but don't take her lightly. Mama B takes on more than she realized when asked to take visiting Pastor Falanda, (the visiting pastor) to the hotel after the first night of the church's Fall Revival. Once at the hotel, Mama B sees a side of Falanda that does not speak well of a woman of God. Answering a request from God, Mama B puts God's love to work.
I have truly enjoyed the entire six books about Mama B. Her ministering helped me to open my eyes to some of the same things she was pointing out to many of the sisters. These books were so funny but got to the point. They showed how people really behaved. I loved how the different couples got together, true sister friendships and how you have to distance yourself from negativity. Great series.
I absolutely love Mama B. She uses Her life experiences to teach about the love, grace and mercy of God and this book is no exception! As always Ms. Michelle Stimpson uses her characters to show us how miraculous wonders will occur when we yield to the will of God. All we need to do is plant the seeds He gives us and He will give the increase.
I enjoy the Mama B series and this was another hit. If you want to laugh, smile and sometimes cry, I suggest you read the series. Your soul will be filled with love and the word of God. I am waiting for the next book.
I want MORE of Mamma B!!! All these books ended too soon. She made me feel like I KNOW Mamma B. I want her to BE my friend. I have my best friend hooked on her books too. LOVED these books! ALL of them
I absolutely LOVE each and every story! It's so refreshing to read a good, wholesome story these days! I love God and I love this series! Keep them coming please
This was a thought provoking book. I looked at me to see if I was showing Jesus Christ in my life. I have read most of Ms. Simpson's Mama B's books. Thank you Ms. Simpson for writing books like this.
