A short but sweet "second chance at love" shifter romance. I liked the characters and the fact that the heroine was a single mother. It was a fast paced read. It did have that insta-love feel to it and was quite predictable, but it made for a nice light shifter romance. I'm glad it was offered on kindleunlimited.

Book 6 of Shifter Grove Brides series One Last Prowl.
Dahlia has a young teenage boy that is half lion but as yet not shifted. He's become difficult and been kicked out of many schools. After been expelled from his last Dahlia decides to meet Austin and see if the spark is just in messages or in real life.
Austin and Dahlia have both lost their mates and have a lot in common but with a unruly teenager.
Really enjoyed this change of pace with a unhappy teenager involved.
Great ending and HEA.

Lost love and new beginnings
This story start out with a human woman who has a son and had lost her shifter mate several years ago. The son is pre teen and just seem angry all the time. Getting kicked out of yet another school.
The mother answers an ad for a bride to another lion shifter male after talking and texting for awhile their finally decide to meet. But the son believes his mother doesn't miss his dad.
Well written self contained story. Enjoyable to read.

Second chances
Our hero lost his fated mate to an accident and has just started over after years in depression. Our heroine and her son lost their mate and father and their last five years have been a real struggle. This book shows the power of love and the strength a mother has when dealing with a growing boy alone.

Its funny and sweet and well written and the pages go by so smoothly and you get entangled so much into the story that each time a book ends you can't feel anything else but a bit sad its over and happy about the new couple.

Anya, yet again, has produced a very intriguing and well-written shifter story that I enjoyed reading immensely. Since the loss of his father, Dahlia’s son, Marcus, has been quite a handful, causing her endless problems. Austin is chasing his dream of opening a bar - a dream he has had for many years. As a lark, Austin puts an ad on SassyDate; Dahlia answers the ad and they begin to converse with one another. Austin doubts he will ever get serious again, but doesn’t want to deny himself a chance at happiness. There is something about Austin that hints at a dark past, things he would rather keep to himself. Dahlia and Austin eventually meet and confide in one another - finding they have more in common than they want to admit - even divulging their secrets to each other. Marcus is wary of Austin - no man has gotten close to his mother in years. Austin starts spending a lot of time with Marcus, teaching him whatever he can – he is becoming like a son to him – but Austin also wants to unravel the reason why Marcus hasn’t shifted yet. Tired of hiding her happiness from Marcus, Dahlia tells him than while no one can replace his father, there is room for more love in their lives. Marcus feels betrayed and angry, and this unleashes his shifter power. Unable to control this, Marcus puts both himself and Austin in danger. Dahlia is very familiar with shifters; she was married to one, Arthur. Wedded bliss for years with a son named Marcus. Tragedy strikes and now Dahlia is a single mom to a very difficult tween. Living in NYC is not really working for Dahlia and Marcus. On a whim she takes Austin up on his offer to come for a visit. Little does she know she is going to get a lot more out of this visit then NYC could ever offer. Falling in love was never the deal, however Austin and Dahlia cannot fight the attraction they have. Will Marcus get over the loss of his dad? Can Dahlia help her son and have it all? Anya Nowlan does a great job with the longer story lines. I love the development of the characters.

Wow! Anya you've done it again. This book started off explosive. A mother's love for her child who huh 'd never be taken lightly. Dahl is jumped through hoops to help her son cope with the lost of his father five years ago. He has been expelled more times then none. Depraved the outdoors and didn't understand why. She craved to feel love or wanted again without feeling like she is betraying her decrease husband and her son. She decided to answer an add for was ssh y mail order brides and f found her second chance in were mountain lion Austin who too lost his fated mate too soon. Their journey into finding happiness and showing a young confused secretion who has never shifted find his way was absolution beautiful. Please read this book. I was dc an ARC for an honest review. And I can honestly say, I so love this series and author.

This was a sweet realistic love story with fantastical characters. I think everyone can get behind a sweet second chances love story. The story is well written and easy to identify with. The characters are easy to like and root for. There is enough excitement to get your blood pumping and enough passion to make you sigh.

Dahlia lost her shifter husband a couple of years ago and since then it's just been her and their son Marcus. She needs a change Marcus is continually kicked out of school, angry and she blames herself. When finally she's had enough during a moment of inebriation she answers an ad for a shifter dating site.
The rest is a sweet tale of finding your happily ever after even if you've lost an amazing love.
Austin a sexy Texas native has moved to shifter grove and opened up his own bar. After he places an ad that Dahlia answers he's amazed at their chemistry. When he invites her and Marcus to visit the sparks fly and maybe second chances do come around.
Marcus learns a lot about himself and grows I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet, sexy shifter romance.

New Start!!!

Dahlia decided to try dating again, she answered an ad and a it was a decision she would never regret. She and Marcus couldn't be happier in Shifter Grove.
Austin Duskstep knew what loss was as well but he didn't let it keep him down, he was ready to date again and he took that leap of faith with Dahlia.
Dahlia and Austin were a perefect match, loved how in sync they both were....Austin was really great with Marcus, they three of them became a family.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I love these shifter stories. And book 6 does not disappoint. Austin and Dahlia have already found their fated mates however life has thrown both of them a curveball. Dahlia has a son, Marcus, who may or may not be a shifter. Austin and Dahlia meet thru SassyDate.com and try to start a relationship. This story is the first I’ve read with a child involved and Marcus (of course!) makes Austin work for every tiny step forward. It was a very good, well-thought out story with a hawt big cat shifter and a scared single mom with a confused teen. What could have been clichéd was an excellent read. Really enjoyed.

I received this for my honest review. I really enjoyed reading this and it gives you more of shifter grove and how it is expanding. This is a story about Austin who is a were lion shifter and has just opened a bar in Shifter Grove alone and gone through tragedy he puts an ad on sassy date. Dahlia is living in the city and bringing her son Marcus up on her own after losing her shifter husband 5 years previous but she is struggling. Marcus is an angry 12 year old that seems to keep getting expelled from schools and doesn't care anymore so when his mum sees the ad she just acts and answers it. this is a great romance with added bonus of some great characters and a great read.

anyways wow what do you do when your fated mate dies or what happens when your mate dies and you have a child to raise but they are a hand full . and what do you do when you answer a ad and decide to see if there could be more . is it fate or something else .
and being that your mate was a shifter then why has my child not became shifter what is stopping them from changing find this and much more when you buy , read and review and stay tuned for more from this series .

An ARC was given to me for an honest review. Marcus has gotten expelled from another school and she's lost another job. She sees this humorous post on Sassy Dates from a mountain lion and she actually responds to it . Since there is nothing keeping her in New York, why not go and meet this shifter in Shifters Grove. Their biggest problem is an angry teenager with a serious attitude. This is a fun entertaining hot read. I do love my visits to Shifter Grove. It gives me a chance to see what the other shifters are up to now. Enjoy I did.

This is book 6 in the Shifter Grove Brides series and I think this one is my favorite yet...I reserve the right to like the next one better.... :-). But so far this one has my heart...I loved that this story involved a second chance for both Austin and Dahlia! And it also had my all time favorite shifters.. .mountain lions! This has been a really great series with each story complimenting the previous ones and all the characters connecting. I really loved Austin in this story and would really like to see more about how he connects with his new son in the future.

This is a wonderful story about a second chance at love. Dahlia is a young mother trying to do her best by her son. Marcus has a huge chip on his shoulder due to his dad's death. He is making life miserable for his mom. Dahlia answers a sassy brides ad. Marcus is a were mountain lion cub who can't shift. Austin is looking for a second chance at happiness without his fated mate. Will these two souls hit it off. Will Austin help Marcus realize he can shift and act normal. I loved this story and give it 5 stars.

This was awesome! I loved the theme of second chance and a rebellious young teen boy. After tragedy had taken both Austin and Dahlia's fated mates, they weren't sure if they could find happiness again. Leave it to a fun ad placed on SassyDate to take care of setting the scene. I liked how central Marcus was to this story. One of my favorites. I always enjoy these stories!

Good read
I have enjoyed all the shifter mail order brides series thus far, but this story was a okay read. It took me longer to get thru it than others. I still enjoyed it but not as much as the others. Austin and Dahlia story was sweet and I'm glad that Marcus now has that father figure he needed in his life. So this definitely worth reading just not on the same steamy levels as the other books.

Austin and Dahlia story was sweet and I'm glad that Marcus now has that father figure he needed in his life. So this definitely worth reading just not on the same steamy levels as the other books.
