Someone is murdering the shifters of Woodland Creek.

Yesterday, Brent Perry wouldn’t have cared—or even understood—what was going on.

Yesterday was the last day of ‘normal.’

Yesterday, the woman he’d been dating turned into a bird and took flight—FLIGHT—when someone started chasing them down. Now, he’s discovered the secret of Woodland Creek—and he’s in deep trouble.

Yesterday, Chloe Hamil did a stupid thing. Panicking, she shifted in front of her new boyfriend. She was trying to impress him, as the pretty girl he wanted to be with. Suspenseful romance

Chloe never planned to tell Brent she is a shifter the ways she does, but she had no choice. When Brent sees his Chloe shift into a bird and fly away, it freaks him out, but he also still loves her. Will they be able to work things out, or will evil destroy them?

***I was provided a complimentary e-copy of Trajectory in exchange for an honest review***

I adored Trajectory. Emily Walker impressed me with a book that is equal parts fun, heartbreaking, thrilling, and just the perfect amount of crazy! Chloe impressed me as a brave, strong female character who acted in spite of any fear or harm that may come to her. Brent is a man in love who is flabbergasted by Chloe's secret (really, who wouldn't be taken aback?) and his journey to reconcile his love for her with his confusion about what he now knows was at times comical and introspective.

This is a novella, so you can read it in one sitting, without even a bathroom break, lol.

I really like the idea of a group of authors each offering a book to the Woodland Creek series. I am super interested in the other books but I will wait until there is some type of bundled price.

I liked the story at the start. Then the farther I read the less I cared.

This was an odd mix of innocence and darkness. While there isn't sex, there is torture and murder. I was impatient with the mystery and the characters. It seemed YA with light, nonsensical dialogue and confusion about what to do. There was a twist at the end but it didn't redeem the story enough for me to like it.

I did like the h's parents and the H's aunt. Hmm, maybe it means something that I cared more for the mature adults even if they were zany.

This one was kind of "meh" for me. I think I liked Claire's parents more than anyone else in this book.
