This is a great collection of short stories covering a wide range of emotions and clever plots. I enjoyed how every few pages there was something new to excite me. The writing is excellent, as it has to be, to deliver interesting characters and surprising twists within so few pages. I particularly enjoyed the second story - Desperation and didn't see the twist coming. After I had read a few more of the stories, I found myself looking for the twists but still was surprised by most of the endings.
If you don't normally read short stories this would be a great collection to start. Give it a go, it's for a good cause and excellent fun!

Highly entertaining, well written collection of short stories. This is a really easy read, and the stories are short and well written with an unpredictable twist at the end of each. I thought I would start guessing them, but the author cleverly changes the stories well to make them completely unsuspecting, and fun to read. It makes you want to move onto the next story - like it is a challenge.

Great work!

This is a great collection of short stories. I'm not sure that I had a favorite story, because I liked them all. As in the "twisty" of the title -- each story has a twist. Sometimes I tried to guess what it would be, but I was usually wrong. The surprising endings kept me reading. I'm not sure that I'd call all of the stories dark. In fact, I found them very emotional. The titles like "Malice", "Remorse" and "Envy" give you a clue to the stories, and you will find the author does put real emotion into her writing. I'm not a big short-story reader, but I really enjoyed this book, and I recommend it to everyone!

A great selection of short stories on the dark side. One to the things I like the most, especially in a short story is not being able to guess the end and I am good at guessing as a rule, but not this time, which made for a wonderful set of reads.

The stories were about emotional experiences that sometimes translated into the physical but basically about growth and change, which is about all I can say without spoilers. After reading the first two I was alert to try to spot the twist and still missed seeing it. Excellent. I hope there will be another book like this.

This is a diverse collection of stories each with an unusual and often unexpected twist at the end. Very well written and plotted. In most of the stories I had no idea of the twist but as I read on I tried to imagine what the twist would be, sometimes I got it right, sometimes I got it wrong. They were all most enjoyable and thought provoking. Some of them were really moving, one about a man leaving and one about a woman leaving but I won't divulge more and spoil the stories, neither had the ending you would expect, very cleverly done.

A great collection of stories that are emotive, dark and twisty. I love the unexpected twists and the author’s dark pen. It takes talent to write short story that ends with a surprising twist, and McGrath has that talent! I read each story with intend of predicting how it will end, but each story surprised me. Each story is enthralling and thought provoking. The stories are well written.

I really enjoyed Dark & Twisty. Pick up the book it is a great read that will benefit a great cause. Well done!

Great collection of short stories here. Some very emotive that took me back to my youth. Some very dark and will have you saying " I wasn't expecting that"

All in all a very enjoyable read. I just wished there was more. Some of the ideas were amazing. Without any spoilers there was one in particular that would make a great novel.

This is not just for a fantastic cause it's a fantastic read.

This is a fabulous collection of short stories. I enjoyed everyone of them, and each one has--just as the title implies--twists I didn't see coming. I was impressed by McGrath's writing style and will be reading more of her work. This is a great book for anyone looking for a quick, entertaining read.

Fabulous collection of dark short stories all with a bit of a twist to them; hence the rather accurate title; Dark and Twisty. I did not put this story down from start to finish, each tale left me eager to read more. Very enjoyable book.

Dark, twisted, and beautiful.

A dark, twisted, and enjoyable read. Written in a concise, but very descriptive voice, with a knack for plotting and pacing. The craftsmanship behind this book is obvious, as is the very personal connection to some of the subjects touched upon.

Rachel has certainly used the short story style to perfection with a story that keeps you intrigued until the end and then there is that twist which just makes you want to read it again to make sure you did see all those clues.
