An amazing set of six books that keeps you enthralled from start to finish, at times it was hard to find a suitable place to finish reading. Now onto the next set of books by C Greenwood
A nicely, well crafted story. Finely designed world & characters, who lead you through their lives of trials & tribulations. Good vs evil with many twists and turns. Loved it.
Like any good series, you always wish it wouldn’t end and that you could keep reading forever. Suppose it’s on to the next world, the next battle, the next bit of magic...
I chose a five star rating as I enjoyed the book. Good characters and interesting ending. But found myself skipping over some of the book. Failed to ho!d my interest at times.
This series has it all - adventure, magic, wonderful characters, great plot, suspense, love, betrayal, surprises, suspense, suspicion, sense of place, powerful imagery and so much more.
A well-written and enjoyable series, with superb storytelling.
I read all six of these books so I did find the story enjoyable. Ilan, our main character, is one of the most arrogant and ignorant characters I have run across in a while. She is very impulsive and rarely seems to seek out the advice or thoughts of anyone else. She pokes and prods others into doing her bidding and is for the most part pretty unpleasant. She refuses to accept other's feelings but insists that what she believes is the only truth.
She takes matters into her own hands to change the course of events, not always achieving positive results. She has blood on her hands from causing the deaths of more than one associate.
The ending is unbelievable and left a sour taste in my mouth as she, once again, modifies reality to suit her own ends. Her poor "boyfriend" never stood a chance.
