Bradford myths, legends and stories re-told and re-imagined with original tales inspired by the City's history.
Being a Bradford lass, Irene knows many of these tales from her childhood in and around the city. She's told them at local festivals, libraries, schools and museums. For the first time, she's collected them to re-tell and re-imagine for a new audience (which is really age 7-70s).

Irene has been telling tales since she was little – her school reports prove it. As writer, storyteller and actor she's continued to do so at festivals, events, theatres and on radio, TV and film for many years.
A former award-winning publisher of health & social care training resources, Irene's also been an outdoor instructor, management trainer, arts organisation manager/director, TEFL/ESOL tutor, carer and volunteer for many projects.
Currently she works with schools, museums, galleries, community groups, theatres, libraries, festivals, historic and art organisations on a variety of heritage and creative projects that tell secret stories and hidden histories.
Georgia the old cat keeps Irene company when she's writing. Tully the dog goes for walks to ruined abbeys, through ancient woods and along the river with Irene when she gets stuck and entertains her until she's unstuck.
