Wow!!!

The Mynx has done again! Any author that can make you visualize their books like it was a movie is a great author. Sienna carried you though this rollercoaster journey will Diego. At one point I wanted him dead then I started rooting for him. I like alpha men and Diego is one of my top 5. If you have not read this book, you should but make sure you sit time aside because you will not want to put it down.

With over 400 books TBR on my device, this is one of my favs and I've read it more than once. However, this time I've totally seen Diego in a new light. He is truly cuckoo for cocoa puffs! But that made me like him all the more. The author provided a different take on your typical alpha male. This is story that will once again make it back into my reading rotation.

This was like eerily like 9 1/2 weeks (movie) google the Synopsis if you haven't seen the movie... awkward

Here is the deal, I struggled between a 2 and 3 on this rating. Now my rating is clearly an unpopular opinion because a lot of people LOVED this book.. which is one of the reason why I chose to read it. The reviews are pretty stellar. However my opinion is a little different... and I will explain why..

I struggled with this book in the beginning, after the 26% mark I had a feeling that this one may not be for me. After thinking about it I believe it was because there were so many different things going on..He was alpha (which is a understatement lol) yes, he wanted her to submit (I was like..okay where are we going with this) He is some type of major boss (keeping it somewhat spoiler free), He was controlling, arrogant, confusing and confused. Now this is just with him.. Marcella.. if I can be honest.. didn't like her character too much at all. ( SHOCKING right? thought I might have disliked Diego? NOPE)

Diego was an who was so through and through.. He owned it as a character. Did he change..(well that would be telling if you haven't read the story and wanted too.. so I will just leave that unanswered lol) I could deal with all things wrong with this guy. HOWEVER...

What I can't deal with is Marcella, when I say she frustrated the absolute s*** out of me that would be an understatement I have never met a character so wishy washy yet with such a brave face. In the beginning.. I was like hell yeah you show him.. then it was like.. w.t.f is happening. AND THIS mess went on through almost all of both books! I wanted so badly for her to just make a decision and stick with it. It went "Fight fight fight.. okay you are free... NO no I want to stay" WTF were you fighting for then?

Yes it's a book.. I get it.. these characters are not real and they are supposed to frustrate the hell out of you at some point.. get it got it understood.. I just can't deal with being frustrated the whole entire book... like there has got to be a light at the end of the damn tunnel.

So.. clearly.. this one just wasn't for me. It wasn't a horrible book and I can understand the appeal so if you read this review know that this just wasn't MY cup of tea... that isn't to say it wouldn't be yours.

Signing off.. Just wasn't for me.

Love and Sacrifice

I love the fact that he was willing to do and say anything to keep the woman he love with him. I would recommend this book to my sisters because it was everything that they could probably hope for a man who could only see and want them. I gave it 5 stars because Ms. Mynx never let's me down. My first read by her was Destino. I was hooked I bought the whole series and a lot of her other books in between. Every time a new book drop I buy it and I WILK continue to do so. She is very talented.

Intensely decadent

Sienna mixes romance with danger in this emotional tale of a lightedhearted woman who loves a man with a dark soul. This book is a journey, it will take you to different places and it will take your emotions for a ride as well. You'll route for this couple but there are no guarantees for their happily ever after. I won't give away the ending but I urge you to read it for yourself. So glad I did!

Worth the time

OMG! Diego and Marcella's story was dark, suspenseful, passionate, and sexy! The friends kinda get on your nerves 🙄 and in turn Marcella end up making you mad because of her friends in put. I mean that's usually how drama starts in one relationship so I was like " Damn! Mind y'all own for sec." However, the love between Diego and Marcella can't be beat! Awesome read!

Refreshing

This book was not what I was expecting at all. The plot formed nicely throughout the book and with all the twists and turns kept me hooked. As another reader pointed out, what happened to Ginger the cat?
A thoroughly enjoyable book, the ending was not what I expected so that in itself gets the thumbs up from me.

OMG what a heartaching journey

Their road to an HEA was hard-fought and dangerous. Marcella Garcia, the manager, and director for Garrison's Antiquities, a twenty-four-year-old daughter of a single mother and Afro Cuban father from Brooklyn, was not satisfied with casual hookups especial coming out of a relationship with her lying married ex. But when Diego Andes, the uber handsome Columbian crossed her path exuding his Latin swagger and industrial-strength pheromones, she could not resist. He made his intentions known from the beginning. He had an itch to scratch as he did not see a relationship or love in his life. All the men he even knew, were destroyed by their love of a woman including his father.

Diego had a very hard upbringing and brought himself up out of squalor by any means necessary. Now he was a successful businessman on a mission to seek revenge on the people responsible for murdering his father. He was the man he was because of the one thing he witnessed as a child that changed his life forever. He learned how to school his emotions and keep his feelings hidden. Without a proper upbringing by proper parents, he lacked the social graces one would learn ordinarily. He was a very hard man but when Marcella Garcia crossed his path, he wanted more in his life. He needed her. He was a better man because of her but he could not keep her safe and he knew it. She would be in danger just by association and would be used to get to him and that is just what happened. She tried her best to stay away from him because he would not open to her about his life. He wanted desperately the life she wanted with him but his enemies, the worst of was his own mother Marie, had it out for him. Until he got rid of all of his enemies, Marcella or their child would not be safe.

Sienna Mynx wrote a captivating story that had me shaking my head in one moment and crying in the next. Diego was such a lost soul. He craved normalcy but just did not know how to go about it. Regardless of his past, Marcella loved him anyway. She just wanted him to be open and communicate with her. After her kidnapping, she began to understand why he was the way he was. It was good that she had her friends and her mother for support. Regardless of what they said about Diego being dangerous, her love for him never quenched, no matter how long they were apart. Everyone thought she was crazy for loving him, but the heart wants what the heart wants and Diego was it for her. He did not try to be with his family until he was absolutely sure his enemies were gone and his family would be safe.

This was truly a dark heart-aching romance. I don't know if I could love a man like Diego. Marcella is more woman than I am because I would go screaming and running as fast I could to get away from a man like Diego. I don't care how much money or his good looks or his swagger or his industrial-strength pheromones had an effect on me.

Oh my, oh my, oh my....There is so much I want to say about this book I do not know where to be again.

Marcella and Diego's story was epic (my opinion). First we meet Marcella, an art director who was unlucky in love, who bumps into a tall dark and handsome stranger. One day while attending a festival Marcella and the strange meet again, they have dinner and he takes her back to his place and things go downhill fast when he makes it known that he wants sex, she walks out. Diego starts sending her flowers upon upon flowers to get back into her good graces.

Once these two hit the sheets, they cannot get enough of each other. Diego Andes is a alpha male of the rarest form and a man of mystery. He does not intend to become enraptured has he does in Marcella. He simply cannot get enough of her.

I must say what bother me in this book was while Marcella was being held by Diego, she gave no thought to her mother. I can understand that she was worried about Susan. But she never once asked if she could call her mom so that she could put her mind at ease.

This book pulled me in all different types of directs and pulled at my heart when Marcella poured her heart out to Diego. Will these two go the distance or will his secrets and need for vengeance tear them apart forever? After reading this book I was like Marcella is says "Is love really enough?"

Enthralling

Diego! Serious alpha male! Marcella is a little weak but seeing in her love for him. That is what redeemed her in my eyes because at first no lie she pissed me off lol. I read the reviews before getting this book, some were not good and at first I see why. But as the plot thickens I really don't understand how they didn't get her? This story is a whole lot of awesomesauce and Sienna Mynx kept me enthralled all day!

NE-AN-DER-THAL!!!!!

Six stars anyone? Diego to cromagnon man to a new level! Stalked (she didn't know), seduced, hooked on the BLD (quickly), kidnapped... what else could Marcella go through? This story was so full of arrogant alpha male, I couldn't put it down! Excellent read, Ms. Mynx!!!

Definitely not my favorite Sienna Mynx book. I liked Diego (although it took me a minute), but I didn't really care for Marcella until almost the end of the book. And I couldn't stand Susan.

The story kind of dragged to me. I don't feel like it really got interesting until the second half of the book started.

Excellent as Always

Diego was another great book from Sienna Mynx. I had been looking for the series for a few weeks and did not know it was in one book. I was sad, happy, and mad from the very beginning and throughout the series. If you have not read anything from this author please do so immediately.

I liked this a lot. I was disappointed in the length tho it was so repetitive throughout. 3 times should be the max for any saying or feeling or expression. Then i felt like the author got lazy toward the end like she wasn't sure how to wrap it up. The length of the book isn't what impressive its the content.

Diego

Diego seemed slow at first. It was a little different but in a good way. Talking about an Alpha male bossy and scary. Marcella didn't like his attitude but was in funk when she wasn't with him. Kind of book where you say my......my.....my.

Good Read, BUT-
This was a nice story that took too long to tell and had too much back and forth with the hero and heroine. Their chemistry was great but my interest began to wane with the made up angst.

Still in love with this book!

I'd read it years before and needed the comfort of a good read. Saw Sienna put both books together with a new cover and it called me! This brought back the same feelings it did the first go round, I love you Sienna and proud to be a Mynxer!!

Could've easily been a 5

I didn't like how wish you washy Marcella was. It got to the point where I didn't want to finish because I was sick of her behavior. She knew how he was, deal with it or walk away!
