Arthur Edward Waite was a scholarly mystic who wrote extensively on occult and esoteric matters, and was the co-creator of the Rider-Waite Tarot deck. As his biographer, R.A. Gilbert described him, "Waite's name has survived because he was the first to attempt a systematic study of the history of western occultism viewed as a spiritual tradition rather than as aspects of proto-science or as the pathology of religion."

AE Waite...what else can I say...

A Rosicrucian freemason and scholar of the grail, who together with Pamela Colman-Smith created the blue-print for most of today's modern tarot decks when in the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, the Waite-Smith Tarot (also known as Rider-Waite).

Like all his works, a must for those wishing to understand life's deepest mysteries... Highly recommended.

Excellent

The author has given us a look at how some of our symbolism may have originated. It focused mainly on the Master degree but covered the others to some degree as well.
