Quirky and interesting facts with a dozen Question quiz at the end of each chapter. Knew a few cool facts from Dr Karl. This book is UK centric so not really my 'cuppa tea' as they say. Couldn't care less about British history and monarchies.

What I refer to as a "toilet book". Even the title says so.

Lots of facts about various subjects. Some are probably false but it also gives examples of well believed "facts" that are definitely false.

Nothing groundbreaking but a good book to read a few facts at a time.

It's pretty ok. Nothing much sticks in my head though. Apart from ...SPOILER ALERT... Churchill had an actor read his speeches during the war quite a bit and Van Gogh didn't cut his own ear off.

Hope to retain a few more

I don't think a lot of this is accurate any more (or even was when it was written).
