Angel Gary, Born and raised in Elkhart, Indiana, now resides with her husband and their five children in Paw Paw, Michigan. She holds a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice but her true passion has always been telling stories and writing. It began as young child before she could even hold a pencil, telling bedtime stories to her five siblings. Angel was known for entertaining family and friends with her imaginative stories and became very good at holding a crowd’s attention, both adults and children alike.

With age, people began telling her that she should put her stories on paper. It took a long time for her to build up the courage to try because of her many writing styles that stretched over a broad range of genres. Once Angel decided her words were worth reading, she began to attempt a short story. Three years later her “book” turned out longer than anticipated and alas, a series was born. She hopes you enjoy the Technicalities Series as much as she has enjoyed writing them with much more to come. Thank you.

BOOK REVIEW: Cassidy, by Angel Gary

Well written, with the intimacy scenes the greatest asset, the characters were well defined and this is a good beginning for a series. The book started out a little slow, just basic conversation between Andy and her best friend Cassidy, who had recently moved to Chicago from Indiana after being in a relationship that ended up hurting her heart and her finances.

It goes on to describe Cassidy's excitement of getting her new job, in a big law firm, in a new city and continues on in the mediocre things that were her responsibilities on that job, having the goal of becoming an attorney of status - until she met Bradley and then things changed.

If it were not for the intimacy scenes, which did not start until chapter 14, and the sexual tension building between Cassidy and Bradley, based on mutual attraction and desire, that finally exploded into a coupling scene that had me flashing back to better times, reliving my own experiences, I would not have enjoyed the read.

As a preamble to things to come in a follow-up book, this gave good introductions to the characters involved and left you hanging, just a little bit, as to the relationship between Cassidy and Bradley, as well as some leftover drama between Cassidy and her former boyfriend, that could be developed.

Me personally, if I am going to be a voyeur into someone else’s life, I would like to be taken on a journey of something I would not normally experience, an adventure, some drama, some mystery. Hopefully in the next book of the series, this can be achieved.

While I’m not big into the romance genre, this was a pretty decent read. The characters were relatable as they tried to navigate the choppy waters of love and keeping a relationship on the down low. One of the most interesting aspects of this book was Cassidy’s commitment to her faith. Christianity obviously isn’t a new thing nor is books about them, but I was surprised to see that come up so frequently in surroundings of a romance novel. I would think the two would clash, but Angel Gary manages to write a convincing story that involves both intimacy and faith. No easy task I’m sure. There were times the dialogue between the characters felt a little clunky and forced, but overall it wasn’t enough to distract from the prose.

I’d like to make special mention of the food in this book. I don’t consider myself to be a foodie, but I do love food and there is plenty of it in these pages. The sheer variety and description of everything these characters were eating always made my stomach grumble jealously. I know that’s not really a reason anyone would read a book like this, but I personally thought it deserved some merit.

I was an okay book. I couldn't really get into it the story as much as I wanted to. The plot was a bit bland for me. The characters were not as memorable and I felt that the dialogue slacked a bit. The pace was good, but the descriptions and the dialogue made the pace slow down. There were many spots in this book where I had questions, and still had those same questions at the end of the book. Maybe the author meant to leave it questionable for the next book in the series, but, it is not obvious, as the book does not really leave off on a cliff-hanger. The good parts about things I liked about this book are: I haven't read a plot like this before, with the whole ex-fiance situation, so it was new to me and new is good, especially in this genre; another good thing is that this book has a ton of potential! Angel Gary has a great story here, just needs a bit of fixing, here and there. I would read the next book in this series, just to see what happens to the ex-fiance and if things will 'settle down' with the two 'friends'. I know the next book will be even better than this one and do look forward to reading it

As always I enjoy a good steamy novel. My only main complaint it is took too long to get there, lol. I also wished more would have happened in the novel. However it was a fun read with some real steam to it. Angel crafted a great read and an enjoyable story. I liked Cassidy and I am glad she found her way without a man in the end. I look forward to what adventures await her in the rest of the series.

I love the cover of this book. It was eye catching for me! This was a pretty good romance book. I don't read tooo many romance books, I'm not sure about they sometimes. But this one was good. This book had a mixture of faith and romance and it was different than most books I read. * I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

I read a lot and I must say this book had me longing for more it reminded me of a book but I enjoyed this one much more Cassidy made her own way with the help of a friend believing in her. the sex scenes were worth showing my own BF. immediately on book number 2 now and she's still battling right and r
wrong with her faith which makes this a hit close to home. I do like that aspect that it was all good but it showed we all fight to do what's right but trip up at times... I started #2 and I'm halfway done after a day. keep it up...
