Sad to say but not my favorite. Stop trying to make this sooo complicated. Its not fun
I hate giving less that great reviews especially about a series that I have been following loyally but well, that's my point. I have been loyal and frankly I am disappointed. There were a lot of good things about this book but they couldn't make up for te parts that are less than good. I will say I have been a fan of Draven since the beginning of course but how can you not be. He's the sexy supernatural alpha we all love even when he is being a jerk. I will start by saying you should read this series. Nothing has changed my mind about that ....yet. The first 3 books in the series are awesome but starting with the 4th its like the author just decided to go in this other direction, adding too many story lines making the story hard to follow. Then the 5th book part 1 came out and I was relieved that it seemed she had turned back to the original story- keira and dom. There has always been a good amount of action but it has progressively gotten just too overwhelming and frankly exhausting. Dom is a supernatural King put on earth to "police" all others and find His Electus , the chosen one. Keira is his Electus and meant to save the world. So why does he keep letting her get kidnapped, stabbed or cut or die/almost die. And why oh why does literally run away from everything , they fight she cries and runs, there is a misunderstanding she cries and runs, she thinks he's keeping secrets she runs...?? Tell me how does this make her independent again? She doesn't listen to people who clearly know more about the supernatural world than her, seriously! Give it a rest already. So back to the review. So once again after finally getting to be with one another again(at the end of the last book), Keira is once again manipulated into getting trapped/kidnapped in her own head (what?!). Completely goes against what we have been told in all the other books about what a strong mind she has or supposedly has. Like I said moving away from the original premise that brought so many to invest in this story. For what? To find Vincents Electus? Which is one if the good parts in this book. finally he gets happiness! But even that is watered down because since when does everyone have an Electus??? All the other books made it seem as Keira was the only one and that was of the reasons she is special. Pip us funny again her and Adam are endearing as usual. But once again as in book 5 part 2 Dominic and Keira spend a lot of the book apart and when they are together, they keep secrets for no reason, plot ways to save the world separately and almost die "because they love each other so much they are willing to die." All of which is great.....once. Not every damn book. How about acting like a grown up or better yet husband and wife and actually planning together to save the world? Oh and how about finally having Keira and Dominic not spend the most of the book apart. And lastly PLEASE no more Keira getting kidnapped!! I know its fiction but she doesn't need to get kidnapped every book. So why the 3 stars? I will tell you. Simply because I loved most of the other books and despite all the weird nonsense in this book, I am hoping we get back to the roots. Libby, Frank, RJ, Jack and all the other mostly normal people she is trying to save from world destruction.
Once again I loved this book and can't wait for the next. I got to see another side of Draven that I haven't seen in any of the other books and although I was a bit confused of the whole 'Katie is actually Keira' concept, I was still loving every moment of this journey. However what I did not like about this book particularly is that now it seems everyone will soon have an electus and that Vincent was willing to just throw Katie/Keira into danger to save his own chosen one (who btw he has never met before) I liked how in the other books every man she meets sorta falls in love with her and Vincent was one of those men, he loved Keira but I guess not very much due to his actions. I forgive him though, my loves in this book is Draven and Lucius. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Going back to what I was saying of how people now get to have their own electus kinda spoils the whole story of how Keira is the ONLY Chosen One, that's what made her so incredibly special in the first place... And what I can't fathom from this idea is Lucius having his own electus, to me I love lucius as equally as I love Draven and Luc loves Keira also, he has said so himself and keira loves him, she's shown that love in previous books and after his "death" in the pentagram child part 1 we could see how much he meant to her. I think what would make the upcoming Books more enjoyable is having Keira become Lucius' Electus also, she already is the love of the two most powerful beings in the supernatural world and there is so much history between them and the way they act together is soooo sweet and hilarious, I wouldn't want that to end if luc ever gets his own electus. Anyways this is just my opinion and probably of many other people also. Just putting my thoughts and wishes out there.
This addition to the afterlife saga was really interesting, opening up more questions....
Keira/katie has had her memory wiped and is living in the hexed colony for the past 8 months while Draven is going crazy looking for her, suffice to say they find each other but things are all in disorder.
Although the prophecy was still in the background and the end, it was nice to trace back to the real Dom and Keira and why we love them and grow to love Katie and Ari too (the twin sister of Keira alter Ego Katie... this bit still confusing me...)
I was really hoping Katie and Lucius get together that way he gets a part of Keira too, unfortunately i think not though as the paranormal's seem to recognize their chosen immediately, and he just fancies Katie because she's like Keira. Would have been an interesting love triangle again lol.......
I admittedly skimmed alot of the descriptions and feelings as the author does tend to go on a bit and repeat herself on certain things, with a minor adjustment... Also wasn't keen on the new sister appearing felt a bit Dawn/Buffy which put me off that t.v series.... hence the 4 stars.
But still love our original characters from the first 3 books, still think the story was great and still thoroughly enjoyed the book!!!!
I enjoy this series but this book was just too much, kidnapped again, doesn’t know who she is, 8 months apart, arguments that get forgotten as soon as he kisses her or forces himself on her at one point, yeah no. I am going to give the next book another go as I do enjoy this series but this book just felt pointless and going round in circles/repeating previous actions
I tried SO HARD to read this series. All the 4 and 5 star ratings made me keep trying until now. I've slogged through everything up until now with Kiera being the Mary-Sue of all Mary-Sues...beloved by everyone, perfect, and near infallible. One of a kind and completly fucking boring. And EVERY SINGLE TIME it all boils down to her and Draven being incapable of having one honest to dog complete conversation and connect all their dots to save their lives. Which brings me to this book in which I have no idea what is cotton-pickin going on. Some other girl escaping from M. night shyamalan's the village who is electus #2?? What happened to Kiera being THE Electus...suddenly there are more? Poor Alpha-hole Dominic had to wait centuries for her and now they're sprouting up all over?
I just don't care enough to continue to wade through something that should have been edited down to about a third its size, outlined before it was written in the first place to plot a fucking course instead of meandering and backtracking all over the place like teenage angst poetry, and had even some basic research done before it was published.
AND FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, NEW ENGLAND ISN'T A STATE. IT'S A REGION CONSISTING OF SEVERAL STATES. There are no less than 23 cities or towns named PORTLAND in the United States, but as it aparently has an airport and is in the region of New England...PORTLAND IS IN FUCKING MAINE. NO PLANES FLY FROM LANCASTER, PA TO PORTLAND, "NEW ENGLAND"
Also...Portland, Maine?...Biggest city in Maine with a population of over half a million people in the metro area? The author makes it sound like a one horse town from Andy frigging Griffith with one diner and one college and one nightclub...uh...sorry kiddo. Try not using real places in the future. Or do the bare minimum of research. It takes people completely out of the story when things are so out of whack. (Like Kiera going to the Emergency room without health insurance in one of the first books and NOT ending up in perpetual debt).
Get a god damned American editor (or ANY EDITOR REALLY) or write about a country you have a grasp of. This has been a constant through all the books where it's obvious the author is NOT familiar with the US or United States ways of life beyond what she's seen on TV.

I love(d) this book, this series, and the characters in it. The first quarter of the book was a bit confusing because it did not include the characters that I have come to know and love. Instead the reader ends up following Katie and Arianna in the nightmarish hell that is the cult of the Hexad. I cannot say much more without spoiling the twists and turns that the author has laid out, but all is well that ends well.
I was thrilled to see some loose ends start to be tied and to witness seemingly disparate plot points coming together for the climax that will be the (2-parted) 7th and final book in the series. Not to worry, there will be spin-offs of some of our favorite characters that we cannot get enough of (and I am thrilled that Vincent will be first to deservedly get this attention). Lastly, I am so happy to see Keira really put on her big girl pants and kick some ass, as she was literally born to do.
Another fabulous addition to the series, which pushes you think, cry, laugh, and feel. I cannot wait to read the next part, which is coming out in March/April 2016.
Time. Truth. Life. 'There is weakness in all when lies are told but the strength in each is what we must behold.'
Can our Chosen One find her way back from the deception and chaos that surrounds her? Or is this the life of a trapped girl, broken and lost forever?
The Dravens are on a worldwide search that might be ongoing for Kiera, the girl they're never meant to find. These are questions both sides now must face in a race against time, truth and the very life they are all trying to save.
The battle against evil continues in the most unlikely of places and emotions are going to run wild in this next instalment of the Afterlife Saga.
Are you going to jump into this book with our characters and delve deeper into the world of Afterlife, further than you've ever gone before?
Cult of the Hexad is the 7th book of the Afterlife Saga by Stephanie Hudson. This series is one of those stories that pulls you in and keeps you thinking about it, wondering how such an enthralling story can have such a grip on you. This series has stirred up so many emotions: love, anger, sadness, laughter, annoyance, and really most importantly anticipation. These books will keep you on your toes, throw you off kilter, and keep you guessing.
Cult of the Hexad is a confusing book and you really have to give it the time it needs. This is the book of the series that is going to keep you on your toes until you finally get back on your feet and realize that Katie and Kiera are one and the same. This book is so different from the others and I really loved the concept of an 'alternate universe'; and I found this book to be a stunning and amazing instalment in the series. But, while I found it to be just a great book, there were those few things that annoyed me.
Vincent has finally found his own Chosen One/Electus. Great I am so happy for him. But, I hated that he stole that name away from Kiera. I found that took some of what made Kiera special and linked her to the prophecy; so with that link I kind of thought that Kiera should be the only one with the title of Chosen One/Electus.
And then there's the fact that for the last 6 books Vincent has been in love with Kiera and suddenly that all changes and I don't know how to explain it, I would have thought that he'd try and explain to Katie how he felt for Kiera and that the two of them had shared some mutual non-platonic feelings. I just hate that his feelings suddenly changed and it was like he didn't care about Kiera at all.
I wish that Katie had gotten to meet Jared AKA Cerbarus. I wanted to see her reaction to being reintroduced to him and his cheeky arrogant self. I love Jared and I love how arrogant he is, he just makes me laugh all the time and I just wanted to see what Katie would have thought of him.
I love Pip, she is just such a funny, cute, and amazing character. She's undoubtedly my favourite character.
I do love Lucius, Sigurd, and the fact that the King of the Vampires and the King of the Ouroboros are not threatened by Dominic. And I find it hilarious when Keira flirts with them in front of Dominic. They all just have this amazing banter.
The scene on the bus with Katie and Lucius/Luc, oh my god, that was just so endearing. I loved seeing the 'bad guy' reformed. And if I didn't love Dominic so much and if he wasn't in the picture, I can honestly say that I would want to see Kiera with Lucius.
Ok, back to the book. We have are back at the beginning of the book and this Katie girl is having dreams of this girl who looks exactly like her having s*x with a demon. Her twin sister is having her own dreams except it is just her with an angel. And that's all her sister Ari will tell her.
Katie's mom will punish her for having these dreams, even though we all know that we can't control what we dream about. During one punishment she picks up a mirror shard and she sees her other self in the shard freaks out, and throws the shard.
Her sister then comes and helps her escape the basement and they run to the barn where Katie hides for the next two days. When she returns to the basement everything goes wrong when she tries to return and it takes too long and by the time she can get back in the basement her uncle is there waiting for her.
Eventually, she runs from the cult with her sister and they arrive at a secluded cabin and they watch in horror as the fathers of their 'cult' drain the blood of the girl they have strapped to this wheel and both girls realize that the fathers are in fact, vampires.
They run in horror and steal the truck that is sitting by the cabin and Katie is shocked that her sister can drive. Even her sister is shocked not sure she knows where this ability is coming from.
Suddenly Ari turns the wheel hard as they side swipe a brick wall. Ari pulls herself out of the window and then helps Katie out of the window onto the roof of the truck in hopes they can get over the wall before the father recaptures them. Katie gets up on the wall and reaches down for Ari but Ari turns and tells Katie that she is supposed to stay and Katie needs to go and find her demon. It's only when she finds her demon that will she be able to return and save her.
Katie keeps trying to convince Ari to leave with her till the fathers arrive and she falls back off the wall and a shield suddenly appears keeping the father from following her.
Katie walks down the road till she is picked up by Lucy and her husband whom she stays with for a period of time till she figures out where she is supposed to go to next. Of course, this is done with the help of her other self through the mirror and her dreams.
Katie finally learns that she needs to go to Club Afterlife that she needs to find Dominic Draven. So, she leaves Lucy and her husband who send her off with a bag full of clothes, an old cell phone, and even some money, and she gets on a bus ready to set off on the next part of her journey.
Once on the bus she meets Lucius who introduces himself as Luc. And at one stop everything goes to crap. The cult members find her, Luc finds them, and Katie finally meets Pip and Adam once again.
So much more happens but, well you're going to have to read this series and this book to find out what happens.
I will say that I am looking forward to the next book and hopefully seeing more of our older characters like Frank, Libby, Baby Ella, and RJ; I want our gang of sups to finally find and rescue Jack before anything bad happens to him.
I'd love to know more about Ari and who she really is and what her background is. I'm sad that her relationship with Kiera is never going to be the same, but, I still am interested in who she really is. I'm also really sad that Kiera and Vincent's relationship will never be the same and that their banter is probably not going to be there anymore.
This series is still a must-read and I know you'll enjoy it. Stephanie Hudson deserves a standing ovation for this strange and twisted edition. It was rather interesting to meet Kiera's doppelganger and to read this emotional gut-punch of a book.
I absolutely loved everything about this book. It’s like just a little dip into a different story. Can’t wait for more. Off to start the next book in the series, just wish they had an audiobook attached to it through Amazon.
I started reading the Afterlife series during a dark part of my life ,fighting breast cancer. When searching for a good book I almost past this series over! Now over a year later I'm so happy I started the first book. This is a series like no other . I've read and reviewed lots of books which I've enjoyed but this one keeps you intrigued and emotionally bound. This series gave me a place to go when fighting the fight. The author Stephanie Hudson writes with amazing emotion ,feeling . You will laugh, cry and feel disappointed and angry. The characters you can relate to . Strong dominating males that aren't afraid to love. Sexy with an awesome storyline. If you like the paranormal world this series comes highly recommended. This isn't a teen series and I recommend for adult readers over 18.
Yet again Stephanie Hudson has done it again, however this book is BIGGER and BETTER then any that came before. Filled with so so many lol and lmao moments also filled with WTF moment this book had me hooked from the opening line. With all the major players back in play and all the new friends we got to met along the way it was always going to be one wild ride and I was not let down. I was not able to put this book down. From laugher to tears this book had it all and then some.
Kiera is always being kidnapped. I guess it would be nice to see that not happening in the next book. I would rather like to see her and Draven fighting side by side through out the book. I honestly hated the first half of the book and found my self skipping pages. The second half of the book was the best. But what sacked the most was Kiera being trapped inside her own head.
Waited for ever to read this book, I must admit the first 6-7 chapters I really struggled with getting lost in the mirrored image and nearly gave up. Perseverance paid off as the plot thickened up with the appearance of Lucius (yum yum) I so glad I carried on reading. This was a slow start but really picked up with some major butt whooping going on, role on the next one

This book is unlikely the others in the series. I thought this would be about Draven and Kiera and a new enemy causing trouble; in one sense, I was correct; however, the author did this in such a way that I thought she had lost it. As you read through this strange twisted story, you begin to understand where the author was taking this and what all was in play. I was bewildered for most of the book, but it did resolve my questions. This book, like the others, contains supernatural aspects, fallen angels, demons, and battles plenty of action and adventure to keep you turning pages. It also includes our favorite couple Draven and Kiera but just waits to read all the details in this story.
This book has an interesting note from the author. I'm not sure what to expect with the last book ending so happily for once. This book also has a warning for mature and explicit content.
This book begins with Draven and Kiera. She is still having nightmares but can't explain the details. Kiera is cryptic with her use of she and I as she rambled about stuff we don't understand yet. Who is this, Katie, and what does she have to do with Kiera? I'm thoroughly confused now.
We keep jumping to Katie's point of view and experiencing her weird dreams and strange connections to Kiera and Draven. Her twin sister Ari also has them, but she is connected to someone described as an Angel. I'm not sure I understand all of this yet, but definitely intriguing.
Lucius comes into play, and this whole doppelgänger thing with Katie and Kiera gets more interesting. I'm still not sure what is going on. Is this an alternate reality, a different world, or a weird timeline? However, the clues I get seem like it is the same reality.
This book gets steamy as she finds Draven. Is it Kiera or Katie, or are they one and the same? We don't have many answers yet, and it is still like Deja Vu. Okay, so some of this is starting to make more sense now. However, it is just intriguing the memory loss, but I'm sure it will get explained.
It does get all explained, and wow, is this super twisted. Oh, this book has an even crazier ending than I expected. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
Back to numbering (Haven’t a clue why I seem obsessed with this) Although this is the 7th book published in the series, since books 5 & 6 were parts 1 and 2 of The Pentagram Child apparently the author felt at liberty to title book 7 with the word Hexad that designates the number 6. Looking ahead, books 8 & 9 will also contain the Latin word Septimus indicating 7. Confused? You won’t be after the next episode of ...
Book 6 ended with a bizarre twist and this book resumes that narrative.
Why can’t Draven and Lucius with their councils overcome a spell apparently created by one witch? They’re supposed to be the most powerful supernatural beings on earth. It’s highly unlikely that any one person could circumvent their magical abilities. Nevertheless it made for a pretty good storyline.
OMG Jack, Seth and Vincent!
We find out who Katie and Ari’s mother is. I wonder if Uncle also had an alternate corporality. Hurray for mortal objects like bullets. This book seems to end with an HEA but it’s evident that there’s more coming down the pike. Once again Keira strikes out on her own and can’t leave well enough alone.
Misc.: Aurora still sucks. Keira still cries a lot and now so does Draven. What was with the cab driver and her antagonistic attitude towards the club Afterlife? Although it is never clarified, I assume that Katie and Ari are not identical twins. It would have been nice for the author to have described what Ari looked like. Everyone else gets pretty detailed identifiers. We don’t even find out Ari’s hair color, although there may have been mention of blue eyes. What’s with Jack & RJ all of a sudden being “different”?
Book 6 of the afterlife saga I must say has totally confused the shit out of me , up until chapter 15 that is , now I think I get what is going on and I’m like ohhhh ok then I see what’s going on it all makes sense now I can’t say to much because I don’t want to let off a spoiler but if Katie is “new “ ahall we say I hope this is a new love for a past character. But even writing this I think Katie is old and something has happened to her causing this confusion 🤔
I still have my fingers cross that certain men I’m thus series get their own books and happy ever after because they most definitely deserve someone they can’t have
I’m so hooked on this series I don’t know what I’m going to do when I’ve finished reading them or what I could possibly read next
“Are you in love with my wife “ “Yes “
Awww please write this man’s book and give him his own chosen one please I beg you .... he deserves it so much That last sentence on chapter 46
“For one of us it turned out to be the most perfect way to say ..... Goodbye “ For real are you shitting me can’t there’s two catch a break As you can clearly see I’m so hook on these books I’ve lost countless hours of sleep over them but worth every single hour lost On to the next one x
I am reading this series and already vested now in finding out the author’s end game. So I continue to read what parts and chapters that I can. I am so disappointed in Kiera aka Katie aka Catherine, the lead female, why can’t she figure something’s out before she walks into trouble. What is going on exactly with this Hexard and these people whole took Kiera from her bedchamber in the last book six? Kiera is kidnapped in every book and sometimes multiple times. At least in this book the kidnapping is not Kiera fault but it like payback and revenge. All these powerful Kings, Angels, Vampires, and Demons are supposed to be watching her but nope, the next scene Kiera is kidnapped again. It’s like a mockery. This book starts in an alternative reality for Kiera and her sister named Ari short for Arianna. Again the author wrote a good story, but didn’t write any sections from the POV of the villains. Yes it was a surprise to find out the villains but not enough information was provided. What were they doing? How long has this been going on? It was quite obvious that theseThese enemies had been tracking Kiera for a awhile.
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 7th in the Afterlife Saga and ends in a cliffhanger. This book comes with a warning that it will be confusing but stick with it. This warning was no joke. I felt as if I was reading a different story, until about halfway through the book. Katie and her sister, Ari, are abused in a cult. Katie has weird dreams and escapes. I love the old couple who help Katie. They have no agenda other than helping her. Once I saw where the story was heading, I felt bad for the kind police officer who asked Katie out. Poor Katie is the real loser in this story.
>Katie finds Afterlife and discovers she was missing for 9 months. She has no memories of Dom or Afterlife. Katie falls in love with Dom all over again. Lucius has a heck of a scene helping Katie escape and kissing her (again).
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. I felt the split story could have been handled differently to make it easier to read. The Katie/Keira story was original. I loved how Dom was willing to love her no matter what.
Totally invested in the series! I have to say, I was thrown off at first with the story line, but the follow thru made it totally worth it. I love the draw that Katie/Kiera always has to Afterlife and Draven. Afterlife is home. Draven is comfort. Spoiler Alert! I wish the POV of Dominic and the search for Kiera was elaborated on. Also, if Draven didn't feel that Katie was actually Kiera, why is he hopping in the sack with her right away? I mean, come on, she thinks she is a virgin and she just met the guy. I am actually very mad at Katie and Draven for sleeping together. I feel like Kiera was cheated on. I wonder if it will ever appear in the rest of the series. I know that I would be pissed. Also, why does Draven always send Lucius to the rescue? Where is he all the time? The absent boyfriend/husband who is always too busy to come to the rescue but would rather delegate? Anyway, I think way too much about this series, I actually dream of additional scenes, and if you are looking for a great series, this is it-Afterlife!

This entire series takes you on an incredible roller coaster! From reading previous books I thought I knew what was going on-(& thank you Stephanie for the prologue on book 5, so that made sure I understood what was happening was part of the overall story, or I would’ve been so confused! LOL)
The amazing characters in the story keep me coming back for more, their interactions with each other are hilarious! Pip is amazing, and everyone needs a friend like her. All of the characters combined and individually are amazing.
The storyline is an incredible piece of work, Stephanie obviously does her homework and is able to pull together this Mystery - drama - with tons of action, tons and tons of fun sex. And just when you think you figured it out there’s a new twist. I just can’t stop reading the series.
Ok...so truthfully ,,, this one confused the heck out of me. To the point, I started it, tried to understand the Katie/Keira thing...misunderstood what had happened with the mirror thing, put it down and didn't pick it back up until just recently. I enjoyed the series to this point so I decided to give it another try. It was still a stretch for me, but it was an okay addition to the series because..... Vincent has a love interest! Good for him! I always thought he needed someone. Sofia has had Zagan, Dom has waited for and now has his Electus, but no one even really said anything about the third sibling, Vincent. That being said ... do all the main supernaturals have Electus's? I thought Keira was the only one. Where is Stephanie going with this? Hmm. Guess we have to wait and see.
Every time I want to escape from the world, the solution is one of Stephanie Hudson's books. The author has a unique ability to make you identifying with the situations and characters of the story, as if you were in a parallel world. “Cult of the Hexad” was different from the others books because Keira, whose memory was erased, finds herself living in a cult, and Dominic goes crazy because he can't find her. One thing that was revealed in this chapter, which I was already hoping for, is that all male characters will have their own Chosen One (which is not Keira, although she will always remain in the heart of them all). When I was reading it I had made a thousand trips on who could have been Lucius’ (my favorite male character)
Not my favorite of the series so far. I wanted to like it more. The beginning was slow and the end was too rushed. I hope more explanations about RJ, Jack, and Ari are to come.
I felt unsettled by the ending - what exactly happened to Katie? Is she her own separate entity? Does Kiera have multiple personality disorder?
Didn’t like Dom much in this book. His open and obvious disappointment in having Katie when he thought Keira’s memories were lost forever knocked him down another peg for me, although I’m Team Lucius anyway.
Lucius, on the other hand, saves the day, multiple times, just like he’s done before. Dom’s “I’m going to f——ing kill you this time, Lucius!” (and the reason why he said it) was the highlight for me.
As with envy one else I too found the first part confusing. Luckily I had read the prologue and knew that I just needed to hang in there. I actually really enjoyed this one. I hated the bawling but at list it wasn’t like book 4. I laughed a lot, like really a lot. I loved when everyone could hear her thoughts. In the beginning I kept thinking well if Katie and Keira are twins then Lucius could have Katie and of course Keira stays with Draven. I thought of many different combinations for Katie, well I was wrong and happily so because it turned out the way it was supposed to. I was thrilled that all the characters were involved in one way or another. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!
You can pretty much guess what happens in this book. Basically Kiara loses her memory or rather it's taken from her and she's far away from Dominic living another life. It's a shitty life. You can skim through most of this book but there are key points you need to hit. I read a little bit of the beginning skimmed through for a bit until she was reunited with Dominic. Skimmed through a bit more because she has to get to know all of the characters again. Then read the final battle which is where everything comes together. The one really good part of this book is that I actually liked Kiara as Katie. The author has finally decided to make her a mature adult, let's hope she stays that way.
Another book where the two main characters are kept apart. And where were all our favourite characters?
How do all these supernatural beings keep kidnapping Keira when Draven leaves the room. It's so frustrating and implausible. Like, I get this is a fantasy read with demons and angels, but c'mon.
So much of this storyline could have been wrapped up in much less pages. I skimmed the first half of the book, which I didn't really want to do, but it was a hard read.
I will try the next book with my fingers crossed because I have enjoyed this series, but so so disappointed with this storyline.

The Cult of the Hexad (The Afterlife saga book 7) by Stephanie Hudson @theafterlifesaga is a 4 ⭐️ read. This book will confuse you when you first start reading it and will probably make you re-check what you’re reading (it did me) but don’t stop reading it as it will all make sense the further you get into it. I refuse to give any spoilers because I hate to read them myself, so I’m not going to say anything about the book other than go read it (the whole series) you will enjoy it. This is my third time reading
Word by word, step by step so many different steps for the main story alone! This series is a read and a half, I actually found myself confused for a fair bit of this book but the way all the pieces slot into place one by one has had me in a "durr"moment quite a few times, but as always with this author, her masterful way of telling her stories is, in itself, outstanding. Well time for me to go to the next installment, and to quote Pip "see you on the other side bitches!!!"
