The Weavers. They were boisterous, rambunctious, some would even say wild, and until recently, unwed. First, Arlan, the oldest, got himself a mail-order bride, followed by his younger brother, Benjamin, one of identical twins.
Now, it was Calvin’s turn. But Calvin’s mail-order bride was different, really different. For one, she was Italian, an immigrant who spoke broken English. She was also the most beautiful woman Calvin had ever seen. But this vision of loveliness had a not so lovely secret.
Can Calvin and his new bride make a go of it while other secrets threaten the family’s peaceful existence? Find out in this hilarious romp with the Weavers!
Kit Morgan, aka Geralyn Beauchamp, has been writing for fun all of her life. When writing as Geralyn Beauchamp, her books are epic, adventurous, romantic fantasy at its best. When writing as Kit Morgan they are whimsical, fun, inspirational sweet and clean stories that depict a strong sense of family and community. 'His Prairie Princess' is the first of the Prairie Brides books and the first in the series of a long line of stories about Clear Creek, Oregon. One of the wackiest little towns in the old west! Get to know the townsfolk in Clear Creek and come sit a spell!
NOTE: Hi folks, it has come to my attention there is an erotica book floating around out there written under the name Kit Morgan. IT IS NOT MY BOOK! I do not, and never will, write in that genre.
I was anxious to hear this story to see what else had happened to Ben and Charity. But this time it is Ben's twin brother Calvin's turn. Boy did he get a feisty Italian mail order bride! Bella spoke broken English but she could was so beautiful and Calvin was enthralled.. speechless at times. Bella had come seeking a quick marriage but she never even imagined to be so fortunate to land with a family such as the Weavers. Love, laughter and a serious side comes about as this wonderful series again tells an inspirational story that won my heart again!! More!!!
This book was filled with mystery, romance and suspense. I loved this series. I fell in love with the characters and the small towns. The Weaver’s farm seemed like the ideal place to live and raise a family. I encourage you to read book one through book fourteen in order to get the best results from it. A very clean series that will hook you from book one and hold your attention and curiosity throughout all the books. Kit Morgan did an outstanding job with this series!!
I thought this book ending was very open-ended. I was wondering about two couples that I thought would be marrying soon. I also wasn't a fan of the women rescuing themselves. This wasn't the first book in the series where that happened. I found it odd that the parents were more involved in many of the relationships than the actual couple. Cut the umbilical cord already. Even still, I was sad to see the series end.
Who would have ever thought that Calvin Weaver would settle down - and grow up? But his feisty Italian wife sure made him wake up. She was not afraid to speak her mind - in Italian or English - with anyone who crossed her, or her new family. She missed her mother, and Ma Weaver was perfect for her - loving and wise. The Weaver clan is growing faster than ever!
The narrator was excellent with the Italian, like he was fluent!
This Mail Order Bride book was entertaining and funny. I loved reading about the Weaver Family. Hoping the do the Dear Mr. Weaver in audible because my Sister is blind and loves listening to Kit Morgan books. I buy her books for her in Audible when they become available.
I thoroughly enjoyed Bella and Calvin’s love story. I fell in love with the feisty Isabella. But the main reason I loved this series was because Michael Rahhal does such an excellent job of bringing all the delightful characters to life giving each of them a unique voice. I will be looking for more book narrated by him. Happy reading/listening!
I LOVE Calvin’s wife Bella! She is full of spunk. This is the end of the series 😢. It has been easy reading with laugh out loud moments. Also some very serious moments. This book finished off Benjamin and Charity’s story. Daniel is still unwed, so maybe there will be more stories in the future. I will be buying the rest of Kit Morgan’s books.
I so enjoyed reading about these characters. I hope you write about Daniel and ma Weaver. I hope they get a happy ending in love. I can wait to see what it will be like to have Bella’s family with them. I loved them. I couldn’t wait for each story to unfold. I love mail order brides. They were so brave.
This is the story about Calvin Weaver and his wife Isabella/Bella. They get along fine for the most part, you get to enjoy how a couple learns to be married and to be part of a family.
The final book in the Holiday Mail Order Bride series. After the unanswered questions in the 13th book, I couldn't wait to read this book. I will say that it answered questions left by the prior book. Also, a cute story about Isabella "Bella" and Calvin.
I have always enjoyed Kit's books and love series of interconnected, but individual, stories. This time it is another of the Weaver clan, Calvin, turn for a mail - order bride. In this case it is a fiery Italian, Isabella, who has her own secret. Thoroughly enjoyable.
It's been a joy to read all of the stories. Have to say that this was the best, so far. It's has excitement, that keeps your attention from the characters you already know & now the newest, Bella. Well done Kit Morgan!
Very nicely written book. Bella, coming from a different country to the Weavers as a Mail order bride. Not knowing what to expect but rises to the challenge. Great read.
This was a great story just like all others have been! I loved Bella and thankfully she was nothing like my ex mother-in-law! Can't wait for Daniels story!
Oh why not a five star rating. There is a part in this book that is really quite heart wrenching and yet the way the author tells the story you find yourself laughing out loud. Disrespectful probably but what a storyteller Kit Morgan is. The characters in this book are a continuation of two other books and although you could read it as a standalone you really want to start with the Springtime Mail Order Bride. Delightful series.
Isabella has run away from her mean father in New York, who wants to sell her off to a no good older man. She goes to New Orleans where conditions aren't much better. She answers an ad and becomes a mail-order bride. Calvin Weaver has sent away for a mail-order bride. He finds out that his bride is an Italian spit-fire. When Bella's mother in law and sisters in law are threatened and the Weaver men are away trying to catch the bad guy, Bella proves her mettle in a surprising way. This was really a fun read.
This review is for the rest of the series. I just don't have time to do individual reviews. So if you are looking for a good, clean, enjoyable romance give this series a shot. The stories are heartwarming and fun to read. I was able to get through them pretty fast and they were all enjoyable. I would definitely love to read more.
Calvin was so excited to get his mail order bride he could hardly stand it. Bella the Italian beauty to become a Weaver. This book is enjoyable from start to finish. I smiled a lot because of the whole family. Enjoy!
Wow, what a great series.. I've enjoyed reading about everyone in this series, hopefully we get to read Daniel's story soon. Then a good final epilogue book about the series would be great.
Quick read, keeps you interested. A pleasant way to spend some time away from the reality of the world. Will look forward to reading another book by Kit
I have read all 14 of these Holiday Mail Order Bride stories in 14 days. Can't seem to get enough. Hopefully there will be 15th title. Can' t help wondering about Bella's siblings and if the new baby is Ben or John's.
