I loved all four stories in this anthology! Different communities, different needs, different age groups. They ladies outdid themselves when trying to give us non-typical stories.

Starting with the first one by Beth Wiseman, I wasn’t personally a fan of it, it just really wasn’t my cup of tea due to topics explored in the hundred-and-twelve pages.
Amy Clipston’s (connected to her Amish Heirlooms series) was definitely my favorite one of this collection. It was such a sweet and fluffy read (like cotton candy!) and so cute.
Third was Kathleen Fuller’s novella, that I found very sweet as well, a little kissy, but very sweet and touching.
Lastly is a light romance and mystery novella by Vannetta Chapman that was quite fun and clean.
Overall, this was a sweet novella collection that I mainly enjoyed.

Under the Harvest Moon by Beth Wiseman- 4 stars
I was interested in seeing how a non-Amish man and Amish woman would strike up a friendship and be able to have a future together. Naomi suffered domestic abuse in silence, and Brock was a good contrast for her to experience after her husband died. Without expecting anything in return, he provides support and validation when she trusts him with her secret. I enjoyed how their relationship progressed in a natural manner.

Love and Buggy Rides by Amy Clipston- 2 stars
This author is hit and miss with me. I liked the characters at first, but then grew impatient with the cliché angst and drama. Skimmed until I could find out how the plot wrapped up.

A Quiet Love by Kathleen Fuller- 5 stars
My favorite of the collection! Dinah and Amos are so incredibly genuine and sweet together. I loved how the author made me care about them right away, and being in the head of Amos who has some degree of autism was eye-opening. Dinah is a true friend and has confidence in him, defending him against those in his family who have known him so much longer but not seeing how much he has grown. There is some lovely romantic tension as their attraction blossoms along with their friendship.

Mischief in the Autumn Air by Vannetta Chapman- 3 stars
The romance in this story took a backseat to the mystery of the furniture that auctioned at a much higher price than they were valued. Martha's relationship with her irritable aunt is also part of the story as she seeks to have more patience and love for her. Interesting plot, but would have been more compelling with greater chemistry between the leads.

The Ordnung was meant to guide them, not bind their hands and hearts.

An Amish Harvest of four different stories that deal with serious applications that many deal with in life.

Under the Harvest Moon Naomi a young mother with two children deals with spousal abuse. When her husband is killed, she must overcome the lies and fear she has of not being worthy. Her father hires a farm-hand that teaches her the value of love. A sweet story and one of my favorites in this collection. It easy to judge a woman in that position as she must overcome years of what she believed to be true. It is with love and compassion that she finds the truth and is able to move forward.

Love and Buggy Rides Janie and Jonathan meet under a terrible accident. Jonathan is giving buggy rides to tourists when a car run into the buggy, hurting the several of the passengers. Janie being witness to this accident, realizes it is not his fault but is told by her father to stay out of the business of Englishers. It is when Janie and Jonathans relationship turns into something more deeper when she is forced to make a decision. I loved this story as well as it deals with what is the right thing and the tension it brings. It really displays on doing the right thing does not come automatically but with intentionality. This was a great story on integrity of the heart.

A Quiet Love A love that blooms with Amos and Dinah. They both struggle with a disability that keeps them isolated and fearful. Dinah keeps herself isolated as she struggles with stuttering and the shame it has brought her. Amos has learning disabilities but the kindest of hearts. When Dinah comes to visit her Aunt that recently married Amos's father, she learns about how trust is to love. Their story is precious and lovely. It is my favorite.

Mischief in the Autumn Air Martha must make a new life. In doing so, she finds herself in a mystery with her boss Eli. He runs a an auction house and has recently hired Martha. Their relationship is dry at first but when they combine efforts to solve a mystery of a recent auction, they come to find something in common.

Loved all these stories as they are tender, sweet, and inspiring. I would invite you to be lifted up as well.

A Special Thank You to Thomas Nelson Fiction and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

I love reading contemporary Amish stories, both full-length novels and Amish novella collections. I’m so glad that Thomas Nelson has started putting these collections together so fans of one Amish author can get to know others as well.

An Amish Harvest set in autumn, around the time of harvest. They all involve Amish characters and locales, but the individual stories are very different. They bring in the flavor of their settings as well as the different ‘voices’ of the authors.

Beth Wiseman and Kathleen Fuller have become known for dealing with difficult topics. In this case, it is domestic abuse and special needs. Likewise, Vannetta Chapman includes a mystery (and she is my favorite author in this collection) as well as some historical highlights. Amy Clipston’s was probably the lightest of the bunch, with conflict between Amish and English the main focus. This is also connected to her Heritage series (which I have not read so I don’t know how it was connected).

Several yummy sounding recipes are included.

Fans of Amish fiction should enjoy this collection of novellas.

I really enjoyed this collection of four novellas. Usually in a collection such as this, I find one story feels like a 'weak link' or filler, but this is not the case in An Amish Harvest - all four tales are engaging and well-paced. A perfect book to relax with no matter what the season.

Beth Wiseman examines the sensitive topic of domestic abuse in Under the Harvest Moon. I enjoyed seeing young Naomi grow from a cowed wife to confident mom, conquering her superstitious fears, and being ready to doff her black mourning clothes for color (literally and figuratively). Having married an older man myself, I can understand her parents' concern, but as in my case, their worries were groundless. The best character in this story is undoubtedly Brock, and it made me smile to see him happy again.

True confession: Amy Clipston is not my favorite Amish author, but I really enjoyed her Love and Buggy Rides tale. Janie and Jonathan were somewhat naive but very likeable characters. I was just rooting for him to prove Janie's obstinate father, Timothy, wrong - and what a brave way to do it! Again, marrying someone nine years older (as my mom did) didn't seem like a problem to me; guys often need more time to mature. I loved the gentle, supportive relationship between Janie and her sister, Marie. Way to go, Amy!

Kathleen Fuller wrote a very unexpected story in A Quiet Love. She examines a topic not many are familiar or comfortable with - the romantic needs/desires of people the world labels 'special.' I thought she showed real sensitivity and tenderness, revealing that everyone is special and 'needy' in one way or another. Amos and Dinah perfectly meet each other's cognitive and emotional needs. Again, this struck home for me as we have a special son who found happiness in a marriage we could have never foreseen. I was surprised in the acknowledgments to find out that besides being a popular, published author, Kathleen is also a special ed teacher. What a gifted soul.

Last but certainly not least, Vannetta Chapman entertains us with Mischief in the Autumn Air. She is well-known for weaving together two popular genres, Amish and mystery, and once again, it is a formula for a delightful read. There wasn't any tension or suspense in this story, just an interesting series of gentle knots to untangle in the Shipshewana community, and a romance between two folks who are neither very young nor outstandingly attractive. YAY! REAL people like ME! There's just something about Vannetta's characters that draws you in and makes you care about their happiness, and being "one of us" older folks doesn't hurt, either. I read this story first, but it is printed last in the collection, and serves very well as a sweet dessert.

Speaking of food, there is a collection of recipes at the end of the book so readers can try some of the goodies mentioned in each story. You might want to START there, so you can be munching in some delicious peanut butter chocolate chip cookies while you read. From cover to cover, a really satisfying and relaxing read.

I was given a copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Under the Harvest Moon:

I loved the way that Beth wrote Naomi’s character. Here is a woman who suffered great abuse, however even after her husbands death kept it secret thinking it was her fault. I can only imagine the sigh of relief she breathed after her husbands funeral as she was about to start on the adventure of single parenting. At least she could do things without worrying about the consequences. Knowing there are women out there who probably feel the same as Naomi, I am so glad Beth wrote this in a realistic way. I feel it is easier to connect to her character by doing so. Beth did a fantastic job of bringing in Englischer Brook Mulligan. He was exactly the type of man Naomi needed in order to grow and move on. Although in novella form, I did not feel at all like this storyline was rushed. I hope I get to see more of this couple in the future!!

Love and Buggy Rides

Amy has capture my heart yet again with this wonderful story about Janie and Jonathan. It seems like these two just shouldn’t be together based on a few factors explained in the book and yet you find yourself rooting for them. But a love like theirs certainly doesn’t come without obstacles, and Amy has written them well. I love Amy’s descriptive words throughout the story. She writes in a way that allows me to see the story play out in my head like a projector. I gasped, cried, laughed and smiled right along with the characters. I just wish I could see what happens next for Janie and Jonathan!

A Quiet Love

What a sweet story about Dinah and Amos. I’m so glad Kathleen decided to write about characters that are different than the norm, especially in Amish fiction. Kathleen did a beautiful job of bringing these characters together in an innocent and natural way. I could tell that either Kathleen has experience with autistic young people or did a lot of research on the topic. I felt she was spot on in her characteristics of Amos, his mannerisms, and the way he handled situations. I would love to see an entire novel either on this couple, or a similar couple!

Mischief in the Autumn Air

I loved reading this story about Martha and Eli! No two people could be less ready for romance in their life…..but sometimes God has a better plan! The part that captured my attention was about the maps on the furniture. I found myself wondering what they were all about, where would they lead and what was the treasure at the end? I think a lot of times we are so busy about everyday life that we forget to look around, learn about our history and community and take it for granted. This was a pleasant reminder to look into those things. After all, we just might find a treasure at the end!

Another great collection put together by Thomas Nelson Publisher! An Amish Harvest with stories by Beth Wiseman, Amy Clipston, Kathleen Fuller and Vannetta Chapman was charming and full of hope.

Surprising, this is the first story of Beth Wiseman's I've read. I have several of her books on my TBR list just based on the wonderful reviews I've heard from fellow bloggers, but yet to have the opportunity to do so. After her story, Under the Harvest Moon, I can simply say, I'm looking forward to each of her novels for sure. The underlying theme of dealing with physical abuse, and the shame associated with it was strong and presented well. The connection between Amish and the Englisch also plays a role, while the children added humor to the story. Beth sure pack quite the punch in this one!

Amy Clipston's Love and Buggy Rides was light but still add depth in the familial aspect between two seemingly different individual. One older, yet filled with hurt and pain from his past, and one younger and innocent in the romance department. As romance blossoms, so does discord among family. Tender and sweet in many ways, this one may stir a little smile out of you periodically.

A Quiet Love by Kathleen Fuller was a surprise. Our main couple, each with their own insecurities came together quietly, through friendship and strength that instill hope. Hope that didn't seem possible at the start of novel, yet with each other, and faith in God, its rays unfurl through the pages. A story that's every bit unique and warm.

As we come to the last story in this collection, Mischief in the Autumn Air by Vannetta Chapman, we are presented with a little bit of a mystery to solve. It's a staple I have noticed in Vannetta's story. There's always a little mischief and a little mystery, and it works so well with each of her stories. Mischief in Autumn is no different. With twists and turns, bring readers like myself into it, it's like I'm checking out the clues along with Eli and Martha! I do find it interesting to see how clues are gathered in the Amish culture. Don't you? Of course, besides our little mystery exploration, it might just lead to a little exploration of love for our characters.

In all, I enjoyed every one of An Amish Harvest stories, and if you ask me which one is my favorite, I don't think I can answer. They are all good, in their own way, filled with love, faith and message of trust. Depending on what you look for as a reader, I am positive at least one of these, if not all will capture your interest.

Under the Harvest Moon by Beth Wiseman
Naomi Dienner is a recently widowed young mother; she is dealing with the fact that she is not really sad that her abusive husband is gone. She has also recently discovered she is pregnant, and is afraid she might have a miscarriage, so she spends quite a bit of money on a powwow, I interpreted it as witchcraft, but it is in the Amish community.
She has a harvest to get in and her father has hired a friend of his, and English man Brock Mulligan to help. He is a widower and went through so much pain in loosing his spouse; he has no interest in becoming involved again.
This is a very fast read but you are going to love his reaction to the children, and what they say about him.

Love and Buggy Rides, by Amy Clipston
Janie Lantz is innocently eating her lunch when she witnesses an accident with a car hitting one of the buggies that belong to her boss. She then meets the driver of the buggy, an Amish man Jonathan Stoltfuz, who is just visiting the area and staying with his grandparents.
Janie tells her family about the accident, and her farther forbids her to tell anyone about what she saw, he doesn’t want her involved, but when Janie gets to know Jonathan and is interested in him, what will happen.
We also wonder what is going to happen when he leaves.

A Quiet Love is a very sweet story about Dinah Hochstetler, a very shy, quiet, lover of poetry, young woman whose family has sent her to visit her Aunt. Now Dinah loves her Aunt, but she doesn’t like leaving her family, she is a stutter.
When she arrives at her recently married Aunt’s house she meets a handsome, special, young man, Amos Mullett, he is a farmer, and knows he is different, but would love to have a family of his own.
This is a story of when a parent needs to let go, but also be there with a helping hand. When our special children grow up and want to spread their wings, can or are we able to let them go?

Mischief In The Autumn Air by Vanetta Chapman
Martha Beiler has left her home and gone to live with her Aunt, but boy I wondered why she made the move. She is also working with Eli Wittmer, who is not thrilled when the bishop asked him to help and give Martha a job.
When an elderly couple send some of their last possessions to auction, a mystery is created when they pieces go for a lot more money than expected.
Will Amos and Dinah find answers to their questions, and go on with their lives, or will there be a spark that will make then move forward?

I was able to review this book through Netgalley in exchange for my review. I love all things Amish including Amish fiction. Each of these four authors are favorites of mine. I love how they were able to bring four different novella perspectives in harmony in order to have this book.

Beth Wiseman brings together the Amish and English world together in Under the Harvest Moon. She is able to show that despite many differences, there are also many similarities. Will Brock and Naomi be able to curb their attraction?

In Love and Buggy Rides, Amy Clipston shows how even in the Amish culture turmoil can be a factor. Jonathan cannot stop blaming himself for the accident even after Janie clears him of wrong doing. When growing attractions begin to make each question themselves and their lives, will they go against their ways?

Vannetta Chapman loves to bring mystery to her Amish novels. Mischief in the Autumn Air tells the story of Eli and Martha. When things from one certain estate begin to sell for more than they are worth, something isn't right. Martha uncovers a trail of clues which she must try to get Eli to help her figure out. Will these two not only find the answers but love?

A Quiet Love by Kathleen Fuller was actually my favorite. It tells the tale of a quiet love. Amos Mullet has lived his entire life in the shadow of his brother. Those in the community question his abilities but Amos wants what everyone else has: a family. Dinah has always been shy and an outsider in her community. When she comes to help, she and Amos begin to grow closer. Can they convince their family and friends that through God's love and grace, they can have a wonderful life together.

Each of the stories was well written and developed. I love how the themes of Autumn and Love were intertwined in the stories. I would highly recommend these four novellas to anyone wanting a quiet, sweet read.

Under the Harvest Moon by Beth Wiseman is a heartwarming story of a young widow and her small children, and the widowed Englisch man her father hired to harvest the alfalfa. Naomi and Brock became very close friends who built trust where Naomi's trust had been shattered in the past. I thoroughly enjoyed the progression of this young family's growth in relationship to Brock. Add this to your TBR list! It's a heartwarming novella.

Love and Buggy Rides by Amy Clipston brings two people together at a vulnerable time in their lives. Age differences and geographic issues complicate a potentially blossoming romance. I found this Amish novella to be a tender and warmhearted tale of the Amish traditions as well as the emotions that resulted from familial discord. My heart swelled for the young couple featured in this story. I wouldn't miss it if I were you!

A Quiet Love by Kathleen Fuller is the story of two very special Amish young people, Dinah with a stuttering issue and Amos, a slow learner. A very special story of overcoming personal obstacles reveals well developed characters and a plot that has a steady pace and very unique issues. I thoroughly enjoyed this delightful story of personal strife and learning to accept life as it is. Enjoy!

Mischief in the Autumn Air by Vannetta Chapman. Shipshewana, Indiana is the setting for this wonderful mystery and the story of relationships. This is an educational revelation of the history of the area as well as the actions of various people's mannerisms and idiosyncrasies. The detailing in this novella wrapped itself around my heart, and brought the past to the present. I'll be reading this again.

This compilation of Amish novellas is a wonderful weekend read. I read each story in an evening, and thoroughly enjoyed each one for its own merits. If you love Amish books, this is one you need to read. The stories are unique and as different as night and day! I highly recommend this book of novellas!

An Amish Harvest
By: Beth Wiseman , Kathleen Fuller, Amy Clipston, and Vannetta Chapman

An Amish Harvest is a collection of four novellas by four wonderful authors. I loved all four of them . They all are different and can be read alone with absolutely no problems .

Under The Harvest Moon
By: Beth Wiseman
Beth Wiseman weaves us a novella on second chance. Naomi is widowed . Brock has been hired to bring in her harvest. Both have lost and trying to heal . Can these two open their hearts and find love again ?

Love and Buggy Rides
By Amy Clipston
Loved this short Novella on love and healing. Janie meets Jonathan after a bad accident happens while Jonathan is driving a buggy of tourist. Who is the fault of the accident ? What will this do to Jonathan ? Jamie and Jonathan gets to be friends, but there is one thing that is bothering Jamie . Jonathan is trying to get over a broken heart and does not need another one.

A Quite Love
By: Kathleen Fuller
This story and the two main characters really got to my heart. Dinah and Amos both are special people. Dinah has a stuttering problem . Amos lives with his parents . He thinks that ,they think he can do nothing right. He would love to have someone that he could love and get married. These two are lonely . Would it work out between them? What about both of their hearts?

Mischief in the Autumn Air
By: Vannetta Chapman
I loved this mystery novella Chapman has weaved. She does not disappoint . This is Eli and Martha’s story . Estate furniture is being sold for more than they are worth. What is going on? Martha is helping Eli trying to solve this mystery. Will they solve this mystery and an unexpected love?

For the most part, I enjoy full-length novels, and even series of novels, where you really get to know the characters and follow their stories in detail. I have found, though, that the Amish novella collections that come out periodically are usually great for a change of pace from the longer books.

An Amish Harvest is no exception to that rule. Of course, I expected good things, having read and enjoyed multiple books by each of these four authors.

The connecting element of the four novellas is the setting in autumn, around the time of harvest. Although they all involve Amish characters and locales, the individual stories are diverse in style and subject matter. They also each bring in the flavor of their varied geographical settings.

Beth Wiseman's and Kathleen Fuller's stories deal quite sensitively with what could be difficult topics -- domestic abuse and special needs. It was not surprising to find that Vannetta Chapman's story revolved around a mystery; and the historical details were an added bonus. Amy Clipston's story highlights some of the conflict between Amish and English ways of handling difficult events. Each novella included a romantic thread, something that has to be rushed a little in the shorter format, but which each author did an excellent job at developing. And several recipes appear at the end of the book for the readers' enjoyment.

Fans of Amish fiction should enjoy this sampling of great stories. If you haven't read anything by these authors, the book will provide an excellent introduction to some of the best in the genre.

I was provided a copy of An Amish Harvest in exchange for my honest review.

*I received this book from the Publishers for my honest review.

I always enjoy reading Amish Novellas especially, when it's with my favorite Authors who never disappoint. Each story has it's own unique touch with lovable Characters and great endings. You will smile and laugh reading each story.

Under The Harvest Moon By Beth Wiseman
My heart went out to Naomi instantly. A young Mother who lost her husband too soon. I felt like I didn't want the story to end wants Brock came back to express to her. For this to be a short story the details, characters and timelines were so detailed.
This Novella is a part of a novel with other short Amish Stories.

Love and Buggy Rides By Amy Clipston
I absolutely love reading Amy Clipston's books. Love and buggy rides is apart of an Amish Novella book. You are swept away at the first Chapter.
What would you do if you were the only witness to an accident but were forbidden by you Father to come forward? Janie found herself in the situation of doing the right thing for Jonathan or obeying her father's rules and her way of life.
Follow Janie with her struggle and see where are heart leads her!

A Quiet Love By Kathleen Fuller
Cute love story with two loveable characters. Both had to deal with being different from others in their families and community.
I enjoyed reading this one.

Mischief in Autumn Air By Vannetta Chapman
I enjoyed the mini mystery in this story.

If you are a fan of Amish fiction, An Amish Harvest is a collection of novellas that you won’t want to miss! I really enjoyed these stories. Each and every one of these novellas felt like a full story to me. They were shorter than full length novels, obviously, but each story had characters that felt fully developed and situations that did not feel rushed.

I especially enjoyed the romance between the characters in Beth Wiseman’s novella, Under the Harvest Moon. The situation that Naomi finds herself in, and Brock’s caring and kindness made for a beautiful story. The other novella whose romance really touched my heart was Kathleen Fuller’s story, A Quiet Love. This novella was unlike any I’ve read before. I knew the character, Amos Mullet, from other books by this author. It was an absolute joy to read about his chance for happiness.

Vannetta Chapman’s novella, Mischief in the Autumn Air, was so fun! The author kept me guessing the entire time concerning the mystery that needed solving and I really enjoyed reading about Martha and Eli. Amy Clipston’s novella, Love and Buggy Rides, had the perfect combination of young love and angst! It was a great peek into family relationships and expectations for the young women and men in Amish families. This was a fun collection of stories.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

An Amish Harvest is a collection of novellas by four of the best writers of Amish fiction. While each story carries similar themes of family and love they are uniquely different and are great reads no matter the type of story you are in the mood for.

Under the Harvest Moon by Beth Wiseman focuses on the growing friendship between an Amish widow and an Englischer widower hired to bring in the harvest for her. Can Naomi and Brock have a future together?

Love and Buggy Rides by Amy Clipston is a story of healing and looking to the future. Jonathan and Janie meet after the tour buggy Jonathan is driving is in an accident. Despite their difference in age they become friends but can love blossom despite their age difference?

A Quiet Love by Kathleen Fuller is a story of Amos who is autistic and Dinah who stutters. Can the two find love despite the challenges they face in life?

Mischief in the Autumn Air features two older Amish people: a confirmed bachelor and a widow. Can a mystery surrounding furniture sold at Eli's auction bring Eli and Martha together and result in love?

These four well-written novellas are quick reads and are sure to be loved by fans of Amish fiction.

I received a free copy of this book from the authors in exchange for my honest opinion which I have given.

Under the Harvest Moon by Beth Wiseman
Love is found again! But Naomi is Amish and Brock is not. How can they ever be together? Can Naomi overcome the past abuses she suffered? Can she forgive and move on? This story of love and forgiveness will touch your heart!

Love and Buggy Rides by Amy Clipston
Jonathan and Janie form a friendship that appears to be heading towards love after Jonathan is involved in a bad buggy accident. When Janie’s father forbids her to go to the police with her knowledge of the accident, will she obey as a good Amish daughter? Or will she help Jonathan find the truth? A charming story of trust and love!

A Quiet Love by Kathleen Fuller
Dinah and Amos are both special in their own way. As they spend more time together Dinah realizes she’s developing feelings for Amos. What will her family think? Is a relationship even possible? A great story, Kathleen isn’t afraid to “go there” and explore the possibility of a relationship for someone with Autism.

Mischief in the Autumn Air by Vannetta Chapman
A great story with a mysterious twist! Martha is forced to move from her home. Eli needs an office assistant. Two very different personalities working together to figure out why the furniture belonging to Jacob and Charity is selling so high. You’ll enjoy this story as the pieces begin to fall together!

The 2nd one is about Telling the truth/doing the right thing, Janie is attracted to Jonathan but there is an buggy accident he is the driver of the tourist buggy tours her parents don't want her to to date him because of an age gap, this was a nice story that told of the problems that can happen

Under the Harvest Moon: 3 stars
This was all right. Overall, I liked this story, but I didn't the "magic" spells and potions and superstitions in this story. Also, I liked the characters, especially the children.

Love and Buggy Rides (The Amish Heirloom series): 4 stars
I liked that story is part of a series that I've been reading. That was a pleasant surprise. It was nice that Janie found happiness in this story.

A Quiet Love: 5 stars
This was such a sweet story and my favorite story in this collection. Amos and Dinah definitely deserved to have a happy ending. They are such sweet characters.

: 3 stars
This one was okay. I liked the characters and the setting, but I didn't like the story. I was expecting more from the mystery.

The real standout here was Amy Clipston’s novella. It was cute and seemed the most authentically Amish. It’s obvious that a lot of research goes into her books to make them as realistic as possible.

You can look at my status updates to find out my ratings of each story. There was a lot of instalove in most of the stories and in several cases I did not think the couples had a connection at all.

I’m starting to think that I would like to read a novella collection of just stories by Amy Clipston.

I have been reading a lot of the novella collections lately but this one wasn't one of my favorites. The first story was a bit strange where it was going off superstitions of the harvest moon so I stopped reading it. The second story was published in another book so I had already read that one. The third and fourth stories were alright so it was an ok read.

I loved all these novellas. I love second chances. I love the stories about those that are discriminated against for being different but overcome. I love the Amish community. I love their forgiveness. I want to be like that. Even when everything inside us wants to hate, Christ says love. I chose love. Thanks to all these authors that chose love!

An Amish Harvest by four talented writers is an amazing book for all. Inside are four beautifully written novellas for everyone to enjoy. Clean, emotional and heart melting reads. I love reading anything Amish fictional piece because they are truly an enjoyable story of hard work, family, and inspiring faith as well as love. Yes, I read plenty of novels that are much more detailed and a lot more dirty than this collection but I highly recommend this collection of stories to readers everywhere. These are stories readers can come back to time and time again. Stories that not just give off the good feelings but also teach and inspire readers worldwide.

Under the Harvest Moon by Beth Wiseman is the first Amish romance presented to readers. Instantly, I was hooked. The story follows a young Amish woman who is married at the young age of seventeen. Her husband is well looked up to within her community and to her children. But he hits her when he's angry. No one knew or so the wife thought. When he husband dies and she mourned his death for several months she decides it's time to move on with her life. An Englisher comes into her life knocking her off her feet. Her children love the Englisher and want him as the daed. But, her Amish parents don't want her to like him and she's not ready to marry again. Will the harvest moon bring these two adults peace and love in their lives or will they only be friends? Beth Wilson's writing has humor, faith, courage, and love. It was definitely entertaining to read it, especially when two young Amish girls tell their mom they want the Englisher as their daed right in front of him in their own tongue. Surprising the Englisher heard and understood every word they said...overall, I highly recommend reading this tale.

Love and Buggy Rides by Amy Clipston is the next story. This Amish romance was perfect. I fell in love with the main characters right away. An Amish woman sitting outside having her lunch when she witnessed the crash happening right before her. She saw what the Englisher was doing...he wasn't paying attention and crashed into the Amish buggy that carried several people. Everyone was shaky and injured including the Amish driver. Janie told her family that she witnessed it all. Her father forbids her to tell anyone. Her daed didn't want her involved in the Englishers' suing business. However, a threat of suing the buggy owner and firing the buggy driver come up forcing Janie to choose between betraying her daed or doing what she knows is right. Then there's the budding romance that is building up between Janie and Jonathan. But her parents also forbid it for two reasons. Jonathan is a decade older than her and he might be moving back to his home. Can Janie and Jonathan find what they are looking for before it's too late? Amy Clipston writing is superb. I finished reading the story within one sitting. Overall, I highly recommend reading this enchanting novella to all.

A Quite Love by Kathleen Fuller is the third novella within this superb book. Kathleen Fuller's tale is unlike another Amish romance tale that I have read. This one is about two kind loving Amish souls who find friendship and love in one another. Sweet, addictive, and beautifully done. An Amish man has trouble with reading and remembering some stuff. Yet his talent for drawing is out of this world. Then with a young Amish woman's help, he learns how to read well and how to do other things as well. Together they learn and fall deeper in love. A quite love falls upon them both. Is a wedding in their future? I highly recommend for readers everywhere to read about them. This novella has tugged at my heart and made me fall in love with each of the main characters. Overall, this was a must read.

Mischief in the Autumn Air by Vannetta Chapman is the last novella in this inspiring collection. This last story was unique as well. It was an Amish historical mystery. The tale ended up reuniting Amish people and creating new beginnings. An old argument between two former Amish friends soon led to a treasure map hunt. The treasure map hunt brought together a group of Amish and led them to find hope, peace, and new love. Vannetta Chapman brought a young man back to his Amish roots and finding work, then helping an older Amish aunt to get the medical help and for two workers to find a love to last a lifetime. Truly an entertaining and suspenseful read. Clean and heart melting too. Overall, I highly recommend this novella to readers everywhere.

My Review:

Under the Harvest Moon, by Beth Wiseman

Naomi and Brock seemed like such the unlikely pair. But as growing feelings keep pairing them together. Brock has to prove himself to so many. All the while he and this fascinating woman can't seem to not care for one another.

Love and Buggy Rides, by Amy Clipston

Janie and Jonathan are really good at being friends but what will it take for them to develop something more meaningful? There are so many things for them both to consider in this love story.

A Quiet Love, by Kathleen Fuller

Dinah and Amos are both too fearful to do what comes natural when it comes to having romantic feelings for another individual. Will they be able to move past all the fear and rejection to gain something more than just a casual friendship?

Mischief in the Autumn Air, by Vannetta Chapman

Who is not ready for a little fall mystery? Vannetta Chapman is at it again in Mischief in the Autumn Air when Eli Wittmer along with his new bookkeeper discover a mystery in their auction house when some sold pieces in his gallery have portions of a map that are attached to the back of them. As they go on their quest to discover the mystery behind this unusual map, they find so much more.

Like the winds of change that take place as the leaves reveal their beautiful colors, so does this mystery as it gives way to new love.

An Amish Harvest is the perfect novella to read as you reign the new fall season. Among the cooler weather and the beautiful landscape changes we get a renewed sense of life and living it abundantly, especially when that crisp fall air nips at our cheeks. A great read to curl up on the couch and read!

Review of
An Amish Harvest
A Novella with 4 Great Stories by 4 wonderful Authors

Under The Harvest Moon by Beth Wiseman
Naomi Dienner is an Amish widow with two young children and a baby on the way. No one knows her secret. No one knows about her abuse at the hands of her Amish husband. After his death she wonders why it doesn’t hurt more to have lost her husband whom she loved. Also she blames herself for the abuse, as so many women today do. She hasn’t told anyone that she is pregnant. Never got the chance to tell her husband before he died. Her father hires an Englisch man to work on her farm for her, Brock Mulligan. They become friends and begin to wonder if it could lead to something more. Wonderful book about how even an Amish woman can rise above abuse, and let God heal her and love again. Would recommend this book to anyone.

Love And Buggy Rides by Amy Clipston

This book is about Janie Lantz and Jonathan Stoltfuz. They meet at their job with Lancaster Souvenirs and Buggy Rides through a terrible accident. They quickly become best of friends and long to spend more time together, although Janie’s Father doesn’t want her to. Janie is placed in the position to keep a secret that could help someone. Her Father tells her not to get involved. Love this book and how the message comes clear that when you see something happen you should always report it and tell the truth. You may just keep someone else from being punished. It is never good to lie or keep the truth a secret. Wonderful book with a wonderful message for all us. You will so enjoy reading this.

A Quiet Love by Kathleen Fuller

This book starts out with a wedding in a Yankee Church of two Amish people that have chosen to leave their community and settle in the Englisch world. It is a book about a man, Amos Mullet, who is different than other people, but still has the same desires that others have for a normal life with a wife and family. Enter, Dinah Hochstetler, who is a quiet girl who stays to herself a lot. She would rather be reading books instead of out socializing with other – this is me at times. I would rather be involved in a good book than almost anything. Dinah’s mother sends her to her favorite Aunt’s house in Ohio. She doesn’t want to go – even though she loves her Aunt dearly. She goes and meets Amos and they become friends. Even though Amos is different and Dinah can tell, she still develops feelings for him. Wonderful special story of how love can bloom between two people even though they are very different and yet so alike. I loved this book and would recommend it to you if you love to read a good Amish story.

Mischief In The Autumn Air by Vannetta Chapman

Oh I do love a good mystery, and Vannetta Chapman is bringing us some truly good ones. Eli Wittmer is the owner of an auction house in Shipshewana, Indiana. Martha Beiler has left her home in Ohio after her husband had passed and moved to Shipshewana to live and work for Eli. They work really well together and discover a secret map on some furniture pieces that is being auctioned off. Oh what a journey with these two to discover the truth behind the maps and watch as they become special friends. It is true you can love again – you can find happiness and peace again – we only have to follow God’s lead for our lives. I have to say that I have so grown to love Vannetta’s books and her. Another awesome work from her pen. Pick up your copy today and see how the story ends. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

An Amish Harvest contains four stories by Beth Wiseman, Kathleen Fuller, Vannetta Chapman, and Amy Clipston. Under the Harvest Moon (Beth Wiseman) is set in Paradise, Pennsylvania. Naomi Dienner is a widow with two children. Her husband recently passed away and Naomi is not exactly sad. Stephen, her husband, was abusive to her, but Naomi did not tell anyone. Brock Mulligan was hired by Gideon, Naomi’s father to harvest her fields. Brock and Naomi get to know each other, but Naomi is not sure she can ever trust another man. Will Naomi be able to get over Stephen’s abuse and have a happy future?

Love and Buggy Rides (Amy Clipston) is set in Bird-in-Hand, Pennsylvania. Janie Lantz has a new job as cashier at Lancaster Buggy Rides and Souvenirs. On her first day Janie witnesses an accident between a car and one of the buggy drivers. Janie is not questioned by the police at the time. Later on, Janie hears that the car driver is blaming Jonathan Stoltzfus, the buggy driver, for the accident. Janie wants to come forward to clear his name, but her father forbids it. Will Janie listen to her conscience or her father?

A Quiet Love (Kathleen Fuller) takes place in Middlefield, Ohio. Dinah Keim has a bad stutter and prefers to be alone (to read book, write poetry, and not be judged). Her mother is sending her to help her Aunt Judith in Ohio. Dinah meets Amos who is different. These two form a bond. But are they meant to be?

Mischief in the Autumn Air by Vannetta Chapman is the final story. Martha Beiler is a widow in Sugar Creek, Ohio. Martha has just received a letter from Aunt Irene who is offering her a place to live in Shipshewana (there are a few rules though). Martha has no choice but to accept. Aunt Irene is not the most pleasant person in the world and Martha is thankful for the job she gets at a local auction barn (Bishop arranged it for her). Eli Wittmer owns the auction barn and is having trouble adjusting to Martha’s sunny disposition (and many suggestions). During the Fall Festival (they are very busy), Martha notices some unusual bidders. She tries to warn Eli but he ignores her. Three items went for an unusually high price and they were sold to the strange bidders. Upon further examination, they discover parts of a map on the three pieces. The furniture belonged to Jacob and Charity Weaver who just moved into a retirement home. Eli and Martha set off to get answers and unravel the mystery.

An Amish Harvest was a pleasure to read. Each story was well-written, had likeable and engaging characters, and a moral lesson (that apply to all readers). An example is relying on God and his plan for each of our lives. The stories are short (the last one is the longest), but they are packed with charm. I enjoyed the fall time period. It is my favorite time of year and the one thing I miss by living in Florida (we never really have a fall). My favorite story was Mischief in the Autumn Air. I liked the unique mystery, the setting, and the characters (Martha had a good outlook on life and personality). I give An Amish Harvest 4 out of 5 stars (I liked it). You can purchase the book whole or you can buy the stories individually (if you just wanted one or two of them). I will definitely read books by each of these authors in the future.

I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. The comments and opinions expressed are strictly my own.
