First, just believing the h could be admitted, much less attend Harvard, hours of uncontrollable laughter right there...but a "Social Studies" major from Harvard? If you don't see the issue there, then this is the book for you.

And if you're referring to it as Harvard "University" ~ I guaran-fucking-tee you're not a fucking graduate.

This was so ridiculous.

The secret Jaxon was hiding. I can't even start with the implausibly of his issue and career. He'd never have kept that shit hidden.

And the whole bit with the h's professor...I call bullshit. At that level of academia, if she'd communicated her issue to the professor's immediate supervisors and departmental heads, her work would have been reviewed regardless of what happened to the professor and her accusation. If for no other reason than she apparently had a 4.0 (((at Harvard)))...yeah, don't get me started on that again.

And the identity of the professor and the H's reaction...I almost DNF'd right there.

And 3 yrs to complete a PhD from Wharton...nearly as funny as her going to Harvard.

No OW after the H/h reunite.

Surprising

Score has two embedded novels: Foster and Revenge. I would only give Score 3 stars, but the other two are solid 4 star books...really enjoyed them.

Jennifer heart was broken by Jaxon years earlier. She had caught him kissing her best friend, after standing her up on a date. Yea they were step siblings. But not enough for the ick factor. She went on to university and finally graduated. Now her boss wants him on his team. Oh yea he is a soccer champ. She wants nothing to do with him. Secrets had been kept from her since then. Will he finally tell her all? Jessica Ashe kept me interested by not revealing all till the last bit. There are three more stories after that were just as good.

I loved the book. Jennifer is a strong woman who has emotional scars from the past that she won't let control her. Jaxon is a famous soccer player hiding his own demons. They are step-siblings that fell in love. The story takes you through the heartache and pain that will eventually lead to an amazing HEA. The writing is good and the character development was spot on. Jessica Ashe is becoming one of my favorites in this genre.

I realize I'm late to this step-sibling genre, but I've read a few that I've enjoyed. This is one of them. Not to give too much of the plot away but Jaxon's illness was tastefully written without going into too much detail. It made his and Jennifer's struggle to be together that much more worthwhile.
