When Belle Trotter stepped off the train from Chicago to Vicksburg, she knew that she was in way over her head. She was used to the nightlife and the hustle and bustle of the elite circles of Chicago, but this was something else entirely.
The crowded train station, the heat, and across the way the man that she was supposed to marry, the man she had never met before, was far more than she could take.
Upon meeting her husband to be, Matt Thorn, she fainted dead in his arms. When she came around, she found herself in the home of the aging Em Patrick and struck up an unlikely friendship. Knowing nothing about living on her own and used to having servants do her biding, she must rely on Em’s knowledge to help her learn how to be a better wife to Matt.
She harbors a secret, one that scares her more than cooking, cleaning, and sewing. Belle has never been with a man. Em assures her it is nothing, but Belle isn’t so sure. Along the way of learning to be a housewife, Belle learns something else. She is falling in love with the long, tall sheriff and his kind nature!

This is the first book I've read by Susan and it will be my last it was that bad, the mail order bride stayed at the house with the man before they married and they had sex and the book was wrote in paragraphs, the book was boring on top of it.. good thing it was free with kindle unlimited..
