“I’ll get the decorations,” said Tall Orange, full of excitement. “Be careful!” warned Strong Green. “It’s starting to snow.” But unfortunately, Tall Orange does not heed Strong Green’s advice. In her haste, she slips on the fresh snow and smashes the Christmas decorations. How will the team decorate their Christmas tree now? And, more importantly, how will Tall Orange’s friends react to her clumsiness? In this heartwarming tale, young readers (and their parents!) will be thrilled to see the true Christmas spirit shine through as friendship and forgiveness win the day. The Little Blue Digger books are a series of beautifully illustrated construction site stories for 2 – 5 year olds. They will particularly appeal to young fans of construction site vehicles who love to watch the different diggers and trucks at work! Readers will get to know Little Blue (a very little excavator), Big Yellow (a slightly stern backhoe), Strong Green (a gruff bulldozer), Tall Orange (a wobbly crane) and Wide Red (a hard-working dump truck). Fun and entertaining stories for children and parents to enjoy together, The Little Blue Digger books also carry gentle and important messages of friendship, inclusion and acceptance of differences. They are perfect for reading aloud at bedtime! The kids' Kindle versions, with their bold bright colours and simple clear text, work well as ebooks for young children. Illustrations The characters in The Little Blue Digger series are brought to life by illustrator, Branislav Gapic, who gives each of the vehicles its own charming personality. Branislav starts by drawing and coloring the pictures by hand and then he filters them in Photoshop to achieve a unique, child-friendly style. Intended for young readers, the pictures are simple and colorful, but they also contain additional fun details that will amuse young children and encourage discussion. See if you can spot the grumpy traffic cone that just had a rock bounce off his head in The Little Blue Digger or the hydrant who is so cold he can only spurt ice cubes in The Little Blue Digger and the Christmas Tree! About The Author Harriet Tuppen recently left her corporate role to work from home and spend more time with her three children. Having a little more time on her hands (though not nearly as much as she'd expected!), she thought it would be fun and meaningful to write a book for her littlest one's 3rd birthday. What does little Oliver like...? Diggers...check! Anything blue...check! And so The Little Blue Digger series was conceived. Harriet really hopes that you enjoy reading The Little Blue Digger stories with your young reader(s) as much as she enjoys reading them with Oliver and his sisters. She has found creating her first two picture books for kids such a rewarding task that she is already planning several more…! Here is a wonderful Christmas story about Little Blue, a Christmas tree, and friendship. Working together they finish their work so the fun times can start. I highly recommend this story for the joy it will bring in the 2-5 year olds who love Diggers and Trucks and the Pre kindergarten to Kindergarten who are learning some sight words. Its almost Christmas in Builders Town. Little blue and the team were taking a break to play in the snow. When they were all done they went to get the perfect tree. Yellow heaved the tree into the air and gently dropped it onto the cargo bed. They took it back and what happens there I leave for you to discover. Happy Days to you!!!!
The Little Blue Digger and the Christmas Tree - A Festive Construction Site Story for 2-5 Year Olds by Harriet Tuppen Had just read the book about how the blue digger came to help others when they needed him. This story is about how the long necked orange digger could help when needed also, but in a different way then the blue digger. Love all the machines and what they can do in this colorful children's book.
Little Blue and his friends were working and having fun when a mishap occurs. One dear friend is sad because they accidentally caused the mishap. Little Blue helps everyone understand how important friends are, and then they all enjoy a Christmas celebration together. Lovely book with great illustrations...just perfect for toddlers.
My children love these little books. They thoroughly enjoy each and every story, as if they are all unique and individual without any cause for similarity among them. Even though sometimes, they might seem tedious and repetitive to me as a parent, I do enjoy being able to read short-stories to my children that are clean and respective.
It is a Good read about how someone feels when they have made a mistake. The heavy equipment as characters really kept my 20 month old grandsons attention. The pictures are cute and bright. I would say this is great for young children.
This story is perfect for the little boy in your life. The characters are adorable construction equipment vehicles. It’s very reminiscent of Disney’s Cars. The illustrations are so nice – very colorful and the facial expressions drawn on the characters are just so lively. They will capture your child’s attention. And if that’s not enough, it’s got a great theme of friendship at Christmastime. Your child will learn that friendship is so important and should really be celebrated at Christmas.
Another great story about working together and finding the best in a situation.
The crew is getting ready for Christmas when things go a bit awry. Picking out a tree and decorating it seems easy enough, but then Tall Oranges gets excited creating a big mess. Luckily Little Blue figures out just what to do and before long everyone is on their best behavior as they enjoy each others company.
A fun story with exciting illustrations. I can see Little Blue and his friends keeping kids excited about reading their bedtime story for days, weeks , maybe more.
What a cute little ones construction toys picture ebook!

Bright colorful pictures. The story itself is one of being kind and not letting the little things that go wrong take over the big picture. A story of being resourceful when they do go different than you had hoped and finding a new way to achieve your goal.
