The Unrestrained Series:

Kate McDermott is a good girl who has done everything she can to please her very powerful and domineering father -- a Justice on New York's Supreme Court with hopes for political office. When she decides to write an article about BDSM in popular culture, she tells herself it's just research and nothing personal for she can't afford to become the target of gossip or scandal. She hopes that the carefully worded agreement she writes up will keep her relationship with the Dominant she will interview strictly professional.
Then 'Master D' - Drake Morgan - walks into the interview and Kate is mortified for not only is he gorgeous, he's the son of her father's best and oldest friend…

Drake Morgan, MD, bass player, philanthropist – Dominant. Known as Master 'D' in Manhattan's BDSM Community, Drake must keep the kinky side of his life secret to protect his very successful career as a neurosurgeon. After a heartbreaking divorce, Drake doesn't do girlfriends, he doesn’t do sleepovers, and he certainly doesn't do breakfast in bed the morning after. He keeps everything in his well-ordered life separate and under his firm control.

Then Kate McDermott crosses his path and screws everything up. Now, nothing is neat and tidy anymore, and no longer under control for Drake is smitten and things are going to get messy…

Strong finish to Drake and Kate's story. It's my kind of read, light BDSM, not dark at all just some fun kink, this was the mildest book out of the series for me. I wish we had a little bit more answers as what about his son? Does he remain healthy, does he ever find out the truth? Dawn, Kate's friend the oh so sickening judgmental best friend. I would have liked to either see her beg for forgiveness or have Kate rip into her as she so deserved but I guess like most people that are so quick and feel entitled to judge others no matter what you say or do they feel they have the right to judge and there's nothing one can do or say to sway them. Sorry that's something in life I despise the most is people who judge anyone so I really felt that as strong as Kate was I would have liked to have her flip on Dawn. She so deserved it but I guess Drake and Kate are above that. Drake was a great, handsome, sexy, strong, alpha male hero and Kate was a strong, beautiful, supportive submissive, just perfect. This last book was good but a little bit repetitive that's why I only gave it 4 stars but the series in a whole was a 5 start read for me. I'll miss them.

Perfect continuation of Kate and Drake's story. Unbreakable picks up right before the happy couple leaves Africa and you get to follow along on the journey of graduate school, fellowships, wedding planning, and the many attempts to juggle everything at once. Approx a third of the way in, the story continues where the last book left off in the Epilogue and then continues to follow "The Gift". But have no fear, there is still plenty of drama and action (both private and public;)) so you wont feel as though you have already read anything that happens. Unbreakable definitely has the biggest plot twist of the entire series and will have you wanting to throw your kindle at the wall but restrain because you just have to know what happens next! With Unbreakable being a mix of both Kate and Drake's POV, this was the perfect end to the series. I hope S.E. continues to write about this couple in the future, but if she doesn't, I know I will leave this series feeling fulfilled and complete. She did a fantastic job of concluding their story and answering any lingering questions readers could possibly have! This has become one of my favorite series and although I'm sad to see that it is over, I couldn't be happier with the way that it ended!

I received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The fourth instalment in the Unrestrained series.
This whole series was amazing. Loved it from beginning to end!
I was so happy that there was a HEA because my heart would not have been able to take yet another twist.
This book had every emotion being pulled out of me and most of the time simultaneously.
It was heart wrenchingly sad. Super happy at others.
The author has a knack of pulling you into the story so that you are living it instead of just reading the lines.
Too bad that this series has come to an end. Can't get enough of Dr Delish!!

I got this book as an ARC book and I loved it!! It was an amazing book from start to finish and I found myself not wanting to put the book down as I had to keep reading to find out what happened next. I have loved following Drake and Kates story through the last 3 books and this one had so many great moments in it. Following the characters through their high and low moments kept me want to keep reading as I had to find out what happened next and stayed up late just to keep reading. If you loved reading all the other books in this series then you need to read this to find out what happens next.

I thoroughly enjoyed this instalment in the Drake & Kate story and I have just found out there is another book.....Woohoo!!!
As in life and this book; every action has a reaction; now Drake's past actions come back to haunt him. Where it takes Drake and Kate you will just have to read the book, but take my recommendation and give this series a chance and I am sure, just like me, you will love Drake - Dr. Delish too!
SE Lund is an excellent author presenting well written stories that want to make you read the next and the next page even when your eyes are just about hanging out of your head.

Love Drake and Kate. Could not put this down had to know what happened. Did not like what Lisa was trying to do. So glad everything worked out the way it did. A must read. Loved the ending.

I was all set to give this fourth book in the series only three stars as most of it was very repetitive and contained at least one chapter for the wedding that was previously published, word for word, in the third book. In the last 20% of the book, the story turned serious and very dramatic. This last part was gripping and well written so I decided that it alone was worth an additional star. I think years had elapsed between the writing of books three and four so the author felt the need to go over many parts many times in the first half of the book. Since I read these books one right after the other, that seemed unnecessary and and left me bored, almost causing me to DNF the book in the middle. It was worth finishing and now I'm on to the last book of the series. My favorite book by far in this series was number three.

very good read, book 4

This is book 4. It is a series that you need to read in order, and it’s worth it. You will be attached to the characters and relate to everything.
Overview: Drake and Kate are back up in New York and ready to start their new lives. Drake is starting at NYU hospital for neurosurgery in pediatrics. Kate is back at college working on here maters thesis and planning their wedding. Dawn and Kate talk a little more. But when Drake has a previous sub, who he doesn’t remember, start to threaten his life and career, but Kate and Drake work together to override the threat. But when Kate almost loses her life, Drake steps up and shows everyone how much they love each other.

Absolutely fantastic! I'm reading the epilogue now, but I just couldn't wait to review it. The book had more action that I thought it would and the new supporting character--surprising and scary! There are people like that in the world, though, and you just have to be careful. I loved it, though. Moving on to the novella and wishing that there was so much more of their story to read. Yay, Drake and Kate!!!!

Unbreakable was the final book in this series. It was my favorite because it was full of twists and turns. Every time you thought you knew how something was going to work out, something else happened. Kate and Drake go through a lot in this book. I am not going to spoil it but I can tell you that it is a must read.

So, I read the whole series, I noticed one in done in Drakes pov I'm not sure I want to ruin it for myself because IMO he was the best part of this series. I didn't like the h. So I read the series for Dr Delish. I keep coming across these women characters who spout off about feminism and it drags me down. I'm just here for the romance. Sigh.

It was a bit repetitive but I loved reading both sides. I'm sad to see it end. This one definitely brought tears. The title definitely speaks for it self. I loved the ending. Although I really enjoyed all the drama and kink in the books before, I couldn't be more pleased with the happily ever after.

Good to revisit this couple, always enjoyed the earlier books. Reminds me of Nina Lane Spiral series in a good way. But the ending of this book felt appropriate, hesitant to read book 5 as question how much more can be added to their story.

I could not stand this book which is weird because I really enjoyed the other books in the series. I did not like the blackmail part of this story at all. Nor did I care for the baby mama who wants nothing to do with the man who helped her ungrateful ass out

Series a go!

I enjoyed the final saga of Drake and Kate. Their fight to keep their privacy and trust intact. This is a must read if you are open minded and love a good love story with your occasional rope and blindfold.

I am hooked on this series can't get enough.

It's a true love story with lots of excitement. I love how issues between Drake and Kate are resolved quickly and not dragged out. And of course the happy endings with no cliff hangers!

Kate and Drake are getting married and adjusting to life back home. Everything seems to be going fine until a girl from Drakes past comes back. Lisa cannot take no for an answer she wants Drake and is doing everything to try and get him in every aspect of her life.

A fine series of books

You will enjoy the characters and excellent plotting. However, the books are labeled in a very confused way. And it didn't reveal it was part of a 12 book series.

This was an "ok" read for me... I didn't feel like things with Dawn were wrapped up, Sam never got point and I felt like the situation with Lisa was a distraction whose story wasn't fully told... The way that Drake handled Sam and Lisa was unacceptable! I get that he worked with these chicks and he was trying to "keep the peace", but seriously he should have been more direct and put an end to these women's infatuation with him..

Happy for Drake and Kate, they definitely persevered through a lot, and was glad to see they got the HEA.... Overall the story wrapped up, just not as good as it could of...

This is so difficult. I'm enjoying this series and will continue to read this series and yet this book drove me up the wall! So many editing issues when it came to consistencies in the timeline of the book, weeks would pass and then in the next chapter those weeks hadn't happened. There was also a lot of narrative wasted on talking about everything that had happened. "While going to the hospital I thought about how far Drake and I had come..." or something to that effect. It would have been fine had it added to the plot but I never felt like it did. These books also have the tendency to show all women aside from the main character in a negative light. Unless your Kate, if you're a young woman you're obviously crazy and out to destroy her life.

That being said I'm still gonna sit over here and wait impatiently for the next book!

*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
Unbreakable is a great addition (finale?) to the Unrestrained series. This emotional, heart-wrenching continuation of Drake and Kate's story was impossible to put down. While there has never been any doubt that Drake loves Kate, this book truly spells out the depth and breadth of his passionate love for her. In this book, Kate has grown and become a stronger character, more secure in Drake's love. Their wedding is the beginning of a new phase in their lives but an unstable person from the past wreaks havoc on their happiness. I don't know if any more books are planned for this series, but if not, I can say this is a satisfying conclusion to the series and I highly recommend it.

I love Drake and Kate! Can't get enough of their love story!!
I received an ARC for a honest review but of course I had to buy a copy. I was so excited when I heard Unbreakable was coming out! This is my go to series when I'm in a book funk!! You will feel several different emotions reading it happy, sad, angry, on edge and wanting to punch Maureen/Lisa very badly! but overall I'm happy with how the story ended for Drake and Kate and feel more in love with them in unbreakable! I would love to read more about them in the future hint hint wink wink! Can't recommend this series enough! Must read!!!!

I wanted to like this as much as the other three, but I just didn't. It felt forced with another antagonist trying to ruin Drake and the material that came straight from The Gift (which I enjoyed greatly). At times it felt incredibly sappy...a little too sweet; at times it felt repetitive...how many times can the reader be reminded that Drake is/was "part of the BDSM lifestyle"? I love Drake and Kate, but this book didn't do a whole lot for me. However, I will read more of their story if the author gives us more.

I've read all the Drake books and really liked them, but unfortunately this book just didn't do it for me. The book is told from both Drake's and Kate's POV, but the story just didn't pull me in. Yes it gives a good ending to their story with decent plot twists, but it was very tame, no BDSM in this book, very Vanilla if and when they can be bothered!! Such a shame really, I was really looking forward to the end of their story, which is a bit of a spark instead of fireworks. I received an ARC from the author for an honest review of this book.

The epilogue book! It was a great way to end this couples journey. I was happy to see them in married life and him realize work isn't everything and that what he has in his wife is more important. I was a little annoyed with Drake because he didn't take the threat seriously like he should have. But he did learn and luckily this is a book with HEA so mom and baby were a-okay. I recommend reading the series in its entirety. I almost read it again because I forgot what happened in some of the other books but this does a good job of keeping you up to date and reminding you as you read along.

I have been very exited for this book to be released and when I read it, it was somehow a disappointment to me, it has many repetitions from ''The GIFT'' book and also I did not like end why does Kate has to have this accident and be prevented from having more children in the future? I know life can never be perfect and there hardly be a happily ever after but why this harshness to such a delicate heroine?
am sorry but I was hoping for something more and better.
