Todd’s my next-door neighbor—an up-and-coming chef ready to make his mark on the world. His dreams are bold and limitless, his drive even more so. He offers me a favor, one that I can’t refuse … only there are strings attached. Amelia’s my next-door neighbor—a talented photographer waiting for her big break. Her dreams are authentic and intense, her art even more so. I made her an offer and she accepted … but I asked for something in return. Two favors meant to make our dreams come true. Success was our ultimate goal. Amelia falling for my boss wasn't supposed to change things, but it did.
Michelle moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring from school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten years ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids.
She loves all thing romance and cries at happy endings!
Review by Jen Skewes Todd and Amelia have been neighbors for the last 6 months or so. But they are not just neighbors, they have also become close friends. Todd is a sous chef at a local restaurant and dreams of one day owning his own restaurant. Amelia is a photographer and hopes to one day show off her pictures in an art gallery. When Amelia needs a job, Todd helps her out by getting her a job where he works. He has a proposition for her that he hopes will help the both of them. But what Todd never planned on was Amelia falling for their boss. But that is not the part that surprised him, it was seeing her with another man that made him realize what was right in front of him this whole time. He sees that his feelings for Lia are beyond that of just a friendship. But is it too late for him? Will he admit his feelings to Lia only to get hurt in the end or does she feel the same way?
I always love a friends to lovers romance. They are actually one of my favorite story lines to read. But this one had a bit of a twist to it. It is also in a way a love triangle as well. Lia falls for her boss, who also happens to be Todd’s boss. When they start to get closer Todd realizes his feelings for her. Honestly I think he always felt that way about her but seeing her with another man just made him realize how much he really wants to be the guy in her life. As much as he wants to tell her the truth and hopes that she feels the same he is a bit hesitant for a few reasons. There are so many things that can go wrong; their friendship, his job and his heart, just to name a few. But Amellia just may be the woman that is worth the risk.
As I mentioned this is a bit of a triangle in a way. I really liked Davis but there was also something about him that made me not want to see these two together. I wanted Amelia to be with Todd. I was rooting for him from the very beginning. They just had a connection that I loved. Todd cared so much about her, he believed in her and vice versa and most of all he was just a really sweet and amazing guy. Some of the things he did for her just melted my heart. I loved the way he always wanted to take care of her. I waited for that moment when they both finally realize their love for each other and give into the feelings that they have had.
Michelle Lynn did a wonderful job with this story. As I mentioned I liked Davis but I LOVED Todd. Ms. Lynn kept me hanging where these two men were concerned and I kept hoping it would all work out. This is a fun, sweet romantic story about two friends who want to be so much more. I loved these two characters. The only thing that was missing was I felt like a few things that came up were completely addressed in the book and it was missing a little something. But overall another enjoyable read from Ms. Lynn.
They were really not close friends, they were more of neighbors. Amelia uses the up-and –coming Todd as her model in her photo-shoots. But one circumstances brought them closer together, and who knew that this two lost, ambitious, determined souls were perfect for each other.
He offered her help when she needed it the most, only he had some conditions. The only thing that Todd wanted his whole life was to succeed, but at every turn, someone was blocking it. He just needed a few moments: minutes, hours or days for his dreams to come true. And he needed her help.
Amelia is a talented photographer, waiting for her big break. She has the talent, and the skills – she just needed luck and one big break for her to showcase her talent.
Their dreams are about to come true, and their careers are about to see a brighter future. But their friendship is evolving. They have only one thing in their mind, and it was success: until they saw each other differently, as more than friends.
Would they allow their ambition to affect what they have?
Love comes unexpectedly. What I love about this book is the fact that it wasn’t insta-love. They started as strangers, as neighbors, as friends until they finally took that brave leap into becoming something more. We saw them falling in love and reached for their dreams until it was finally becoming a reality. It was a big risk that they took, but fate had the perfect timing when it intervened, because soon everything was falling into their proper place.
I have wanted Amelia's story since I read Danielle Allen's book Work Song . I was hoping she'd get her story and was even more excited that Michelle was writing it. Michelle didn't disappoint me either.
Amelia AKA Lia AKA Noodle is a photographer. She's trying to get her big break. During the day she's working at a gallery and has a 2nd job until she looses it. Luckily for Lia her best friend is there to help her.
Todd is her neighbor who has become best friend with both Lia and Tati. Todd is a chef. Luckily for Lia he gets her a job at the restaurant he's working at. Todd also models for Lia. I mean he is not ashamed of his body. He spends his days at work or at the gym. His Facebook gym selfie posts prove it. The ladies love him and he loves them. But, not too long until he's onto the next one.
Lia is working both jobs while trying to save money to be spotlighted in a gallery. Todd is trying to save up for his own restaurant. But, his boss Davis is making things almost impossible. When Todd sees that Davis has a thing for his Noodle he asks his BFF for a favor. Keep Davis busy and maybe Todd can get a little ahead. Lia being his BFF agrees.
Once Davis is in the picture everyone gets confused. Todd's life hasn't been an easy one. It's why he doesn't get close to anyone. Except for Lia. He's gotten close to her family and Tati too. But, not like Noodle. The more Davis and Lia spend together the more he regrets pushing them together. Lia is just as confused. The more she hangs out with Davis the more she's questioning if he's the one. And, the more her mind keeps going to Todd. Then, a conversation with Tati and she's really confused.
Todd is prob one of my favorite guys I read in awhile. He didn't have an easy childhood. Even now with Davis giving him the screw job in all aspects of his life. Todd doesn't let change who he is. He'd do anything for his friends. Amelia too never let things bring her down or change who she was. There was a bunch of times I'd of flipped if I were her. But, she held onto her own.
Michelle just keeps proving why she's one of my favorites. She always writes characters you can relate too. What I wouldn't do to be invited to Lia's family Sunday dinner. Michelle and Danielle did an excellent job with these BFF's stories.
This was a pleasure to read from start to finish. There’s nothing better than a good friends to lovers story. It gives the reader an opportunity to witness the shift in feelings between the characters, and to watch how their relationship develops as they finally begin seeing each other in a new light.
I loved Amelia and Todd right from the beginning. Their relationship is easy, lighthearted, and supportive. Although they both find the other attractive, neither one of them is looking for love. Todd prefers to keep his dalliances to one night, while Amelia’s last relationship has left her feeling less than confident.
Amelia (Lia) has dreams of making a living as a photographer and showcasing her art in galleries, but in order to make that happen, she needs more money. Todd is not only Amelia’s neighbor, but he also models for her photography. Being the king of the gym selfie, he has no problem with being the subject of her art. Todd is an up-and-coming chef who dreams of owning his own restaurant one day, but he just needs to be given a chance. Together, they have the ability to help each other achieve their dreams.
When Lia gets a second job as a bartender at the restaurant where Todd works, it seems to be the perfect spot for her to make some extra cash. When Davis, the owner of the restaurant, shows an interest in Lia, she is more than a little interested in getting to know him. Todd is not convinced that Davis won’t end up breaking her heart. He doesn’t want to see her getting hurt all over again…and he is beginning to think that he doesn’t want her being with anyone other than him. Mm hmm…this is where the fun really starts.
The book alternates between both character’s points of view. I enjoyed watching their feelings change and grow during the course of their friendship. It was so easy to become swept up in their relationship. They are normal, they have issues and insecurities, but they see the best in each other. Todd and Lia are so likable, and as a reader, I just wanted them to finally admit their true feelings. Seeing You is a fast paced book that offers up the perfect balance of humor, tension, and romantic chemistry.
Loved the book! I just finished the ARC I received. I fall in love with characters in books and always wonder where else the author would take them if another book existed... I love how Michelle keeps it fresh by focusing on different characters mentioned in the book when writing the next. To my surprise, I already read about a secondary character mentioned in this book and the main characters were the secondary characters in that book. But it was through Danielle Allen's "Work Song" that these characters already existed! I wasn't aware ahead of time so that was an exciting revelation.
I knew where the story was heading because of information from "Work Song" so I sort of felt like some of it was given away, but the journey on getting there was still exciting. However by Amelia's reaction to Tatiana about dating a coworker I thought something bigger, more traumatic, happened to Amelia. It was an interesting story, and I was glad it worked out the way it did for her and wasn't as a terrible ordeal as I thought it could have been. I love how passionate these characters are about their jobs, and a job isn't just a means to make money. They're not doctors or lawyers or something so cliche, but they love what they do and strive to be more successful in their interests and talents. It was a great read and I couldn't wait to finish it to find out the ending.
This was a fun friends to lovers romance. I really enjoyed the book. It did take me a little bit to really get into the story and connect with the characters. However once Todd finally starts to allow his feelings for Amelia take flight and we get both characters background stories then I was pulled into the story and couldn’t wait to see where it was going to go.
There has always been an attraction between Todd and Amelia but nothing more came of it, because both have relationship trust issues but for totally different reasons. The chemistry between then was potent, not just physical but emotional also. They started off with a friendship and develop into more. I loved them together and was cheering for them to both to give in and realize their true feelings.
I loved at the end that we found out that Amelia’s roommate Tatianna already has her own book by another author. This is such a fun concept to connect two author’s work. I’ve read and love Michelle Lynn and have never read a book by Danielle Allen, however after meeting Tatianna I will be reading Work Song ASAP. If you are a fan of friends to lovers books then I would highly recommend this book!
Todd and Lia are neighbors and good friends who are always where for each other :) He wants to be a chef and she is a photographer. She ends up working with him to make some extra money and from there you fall in love with them.
They are both dealing with personal things and in the midst of it all, they become closer. There are other factors that are in the way and the fact the neither of them can admit what they are feeling. Will these two friends admit there is more to their friendship? You have to read to find out. Let me just say I LOVE Todd :) We also meet Lia's best friend Tati who is awesome. (Her story Working Girl is a must read too).
If you're looking for a sweet friends to lovers story, you will enjoy this one. :) I have been a fan of Michelle's and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next !!
“For the briefest moments, our visions lock on one another, and all the chaos around us fades.”
This was a really cute book that I was not able to put down from the moment I picked it up. And Todd, you will totally swoon over him. Michelle has a way of writing her books that way, you will fall in love with any of the guys she writes about, even though you don’t intend to. Haha
Amelia is an aspiring photographer who lives in NYC, just struggling to get by. Her neighbor and one of her best friends Todd models for her. Her boss at the art gallery loves him as her centerpiece causing him to be go to number one subject. Todd will do pretty much anything for Lia. We see it in how he looks at her, how he drops everything for her and just how he treats her. You definitely can tell there is something underneath it all that he is trying to hide. When one bad news reaches Lia, he wants to do anything in his power to help him, but his own goals helps prevent that from happening.
“Don’t lose faith in yourself now. I’ll just keep reminding you of how amazing you are.”
Todd himself is working towards opening his own restaurant. He an amazing talent for it, however he is just lacking the financial backing. He is very talented in what he does but he is not able to express himself to his full potential because his boss Davis controls everything he does in the kitchen or rather the entire restaurant. Todd is not able to display his own recipes or be himself while he is there. So Todd enlists Lia’s help to distract him so he can showcase what he can offer the guests to potentially gain some investors.
“You pull emotions out of me that I’ve never felt.”
His plan kind of backfires on him though. He really doesn’t need Lia to distract him. They do it all on their own. Lia and Davis form some kind of instant connection to each other, spending a lot of time together and getting to know one another and just enjoying each other. Though they come from different backgrounds and are total opposites, they seem to mesh well together. They don’t let that get in the way of things. Todd pretty much shot himself in the foot with that one. He has to watch his best friend fall for someone, who isn’t him. While he watches Lia get all chummy with Davis, he realizes his true feelings for her go beyond friendship. It makes him question everything.
“Why all of a sudden, is she filling my thoughts with something more than friendship.”
When did it all change? Why all of a sudden that she becomes unavailable do these feelings come to surface? Why could they not have happened sooner? Lia was there before him the whole time and he did nothing. And he can’t do anything right now because she seems happy. Lia puts an uneasy feeling inside of Todd. What does he do with the feelings he is harboring inside of him? Does he cross the line of friendship and tell her how he feels? Or does he hold it all in? Telling her could potentially ruin what they truly have. But telling her could also make it exponentially better.
“He doesn’t look up, but his hand reaches out and links with mine. An unspoken connection is made between us.”
Davis is a true born workaholic, always been his nature. So when something important comes up in Lia’s life, Todd is always there to be there for her. He is the one person she can truly count on. But the big confusion in her life. What does she do with these unexpected feelings for him? Where did they come from? Should she go and cross that line and ruin what they have? Will Todd and Lia finally realize what they have together? Or will they let their fears get in their way? Or is Lia happy with her relationship with Davis? Will one of them finally give in and put it all on the line?
“My want continues to increase and I need to distance myself if he doesn’t want to cross our line of friendship.”
I love how the story played out. Neighbors, turned best friends, who are always there for each other, helping one another out, going about their daily lives. One diversion turned their lives upside down. It threw their feelings out of whack. If it wasn’t for that crazy idea, would they have seen what was in front of them the entire time? Or would they have continued going about their business? We would never know. But I think, seeing Lia with Davis was the push that Todd needed. He always felt something for her, but didn’t know what to do with it until it was too late. Typically when it’s too late, that’s your que to want it even more. Lia comes from a big family and I love how involved they were in the story, and they included Todd in it as well. They welcomed him with open arms even though he was just a friend. You can see it from the beginning, there is something between Lia and Todd, they were just afraid to cross that line. This is one story you’re going to want to read.
I am a huge fan of Michelle Lynn's, and I couldn't wait to read this book. I honestly had no clue what it was about at first, but one look at that gorgeous cover and I was sold. Thankfully this book was a great story to go along with the cover, and I enjoyed it a lot. Another thing I didn't know when reading this was that while it says that Seeing You is a Fall In Love Novel on the cover, there is actually a related novel to this one by another author. The book is called Work Song by Danielle Allen and features Amelia's roommate Tatiana. After reading this and learning that she has her own book, I have added it to my TBR pile since I loved her character so much here. I am so intrigued with her and I can't wait to see what was going on with her throughout this book!
After Amelia Fiore gets fired from yet another job, her neighbor and friend Todd Hamilton gets her a job as a bartender at the restaurant he works at. Todd is an up and coming chef, that models for Amelia while she tries to break into the art world with her photography. Though nothing has ever happened between Amelia and Todd, things between them begin to change the more time they spend together. When Todd asks Amelia for a favor, he never suspects that instead of it helping him achieve his dreams that it will change everything for his friendship with Amelia.
I really liked Todd and Amelia, and I loved his nickname for her. He called her Noodle because her name sounded like past, and for some reason that was absolutely adorable to me. Their friendship was so strong right from the start, and it was clear how at ease they were with one another. I knew right away that these two belonged together, but that it was just a matter of them realizing it. Todd was a great guy, and I loved how supportive he was of Amelia. She was the same for him, and these two genuinely believed in each other no matter what. It was great that they had one another to lean on and they always knew that no matter what they could rely on each other. The chemistry was there between them all along though, and I couldn't wait for them to explore just how much they could be to each other besides just friends. They were perfect for one another, and I loved watching them grow closer throughout this book.
Though this isn't exactly a spoiler, I will advise those that are against them stop reading here just in case they don't want to know. I felt like it should be mentioned though, and it wasn't in the blurb so I don't want to have anyone upset about me talking about it without them knowing that they should look away first. So beware, and if you continue reading do so knowing that part of this story could be spoiled. The one thing that kept this book from being higher rated for me was that I hadn't been expecting for this to be as much of a love triangle as it was. There was another player here, and I felt like I was a bit mislead when it came to that. I don't mind love triangles, but I don't like to be blindsided by them and that was what it felt like here. The fact that it continued as long as it did was another thing I didn't care for. There were so many opportunities for it to end here, and I just kept waiting for that to happen so that Todd and Amelia could finally start to face their feelings and the connection they were making with one another. The blurb never mentioned anyone else, except that there were unexpected consequences of the favors, and I know a lot of readers don't do love triangles or like to read books where the hero or heroine is with someone else. If that is something that bothers you, I feel like you should know that going in so you aren't blindsided like I was. Besides that though, I really did like this story. I loved Todd and Amelia for one another, and if it hadn't been for the other player and these two taking so long to finally be together, this one would have been five stars for me. I think it is still worth the read and is a great story though, and it is one I would recommend for contemporary romance fans. Michelle Lynn is a great writer and she always draws me in right away. Seeing You was one that I really enjoyed, and I didn't want to put it down.
The story of Amelia and Todd was sweet, heartfelt, moving and a joy to read. The story opens where Todd and Amelia are already friends and begin working together in the restaurant Todd has been at for a couple of years. Todd is an amazing hard working chef just waiting for his big break that will lead him to having his own restaurant. Amelia is working 2 jobs hoping to get enough money to make her dreams come true of having her own gallery to showcase her photography work. Amelia and the owner of the restaurant hit it off, have chemistry but you just are not sure if he is "it" for her. Todd is a handsome, sexy man who poses for Amelia's photos and has no problem getting dates with the ladies. The story shows us the insecurities of both Amelia and Todd. We meet Amelia's Italian family, which are definitely some of my favorite scenes in the book. The weekly family dinners which we see Todd participate in too. We learn about Todd's tough childhood and background and understand his securities he keeps hidden away. Through the book Amelia and Todd are there for each other repeatedly and we just sit back and watch and wait for them to realize that maybe their dreams and future will include each other in a more intimate and significant way. That having each other's back and having that someone to trust and rely on....helps get rid of those life long insecurities. Too realize they are both worth more than they originally thought and deserve to be happy and able to be with the one that truly makes their heart skip a beat and get that butterfly-in-the-tummy-nervous feeling.
"His eyes are clear, bearing truth, as though he's attempting to tell the camera his secret. My mouth drops open with the realization that it's not the camera he's staring at. It's me."
I adored Amelia's roommate Tati and seriously dying to know who she is having those online conversations with that make her so happy. The relationship between between Todd and his foster dad Jim was a really good story line that I loved seeing grow and happy with how the book ended with where they were. I was just thrilled to see how Todd and Amelia's futures look, professionally and of course romantically, and would love to read more about the other characters, like Tati. Fantastic read that left me with a smile on my face :)

Check out this review and others at www.Twinsietalk.com www.Facebook.com/Twinsietalk www.Twitter.com/Twinsietalk www.Tsu.co/Twinsietalk Newsletter : http://eepurl.com/brwkPv Seeing You by Michelle Lynn I received this book from the author for an honest review. AHHH I loved this storyline here. Guy and girl are good friends and slowly start to fall in love with the other but don’t realize it UNTIL she starts to date another. I loved the triangle aspect of who Lia/Noodle was dating and why she started to date him. I loved the fact that Todd realized his changed feeling toward his Noodle. But I really loved Lia’s roomie who put the little “doubt” in Lia’s head about the current boyfriend and her friendship with Todd. Todd is the guy every girl wants. He is a player and is pretty happy with that or is he??? He has started to realize that his best friend Lia/Noodle is more than just a friend to him. He doesn’t think he is worth much and thinks she deserve much better than a guy who was a foster kid. Noodle (I love Todd’s name for Lia) is looking for the guy who puts her first. She met Todd after a terrible breakup and they became fast friend. She never really SEES him for all the things he does for her to show he is putting her first. She is attracted to him but his payer persona always makes her think she is imagining anything between the two of them. When Todd asks Lia to keep the boss busy, she actually enjoys spending time with Davis. Davis…..oh Davis. I am not really sure if he really likes Lia or id he sees her as a challenge because of the obvious feelings Todd and Amelia have for one another. He is manipulative and a liar but Lia is such a sweet person she buys his crap…sorry Davis but come on….. My favorite part of the book is when Davis has to leave for a month. Todd tells himself he has a month to steal the boss’ girl. It made me laugh because up until that moment he kept playing the passive guy. I was glad to see hi step up and go after what he wanted!!!
I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
Amelia (AKA Lia or Noodle) is an aspiring artist who is still trying to gain her big break. She lives in an apartment complex with her best friend Tati. She also has a great friend ship with her neighbor Todd who she meets the day she was breaking up with her boyfriend.
Todd is a wonderful chef who is on a mission to own his own restaurant. However, his boss is standing in his way. Todd sees a way around the boss after he gets Lia a job at the restaurant. You see Todd helps Lia out by being her model. So he asked her to occupy the boss for a while so he could WOW some potential investors. Only one problem his Noodle kinda likes the boss and now he realizes what he is losing.
Lia is tired of being put second to a man’s career and wants to be number one. Todd has always been left behind by those he loved and learned long ago never to open his heart to anyone. What happens when two friends realize what they had right in front of them when it is no longer possible to be together?
I enjoyed all the scenes at family night with Amelia’s family. The interactions between her bothers and Todd even Davis were comical at times. The best ones were when her grandmother was in the scene I fell in love with her. I enjoyed the friendship that Lia and Tati have. Tati tells it like it is and how she sees it even it Lia didn’t want to hear it. I love the playful banter between Todd and Lia or Noodle as he likes to call her. He was always there when she needed someone and he would give her the encouragement and build her self esteem when she needed. Seeing all the things Todd would do for his Noodle made my heart flutter.
I enjoyed reading this story so much. I flew through it , it had a great flow and was simple and lighthearted made for a great rainy day read. I always love stories where best friends become more , yet it takes something big to make them realize what they wanted in the first place. This is the story with Amelia and Todd, they are neighbors , besties and work together in more ways than one. It seems clear as day the attraction is there yet they both brush it off and attempt to go on as friends and co-workers. Todd is always there for Amelia and vice versa. Amelia is a photographer working at an art gallery waiting for her big chance to make it with her photos , most of which are of Todd in his glory !! Todd is an amazing chef hoping to break out on his own once he finds the right investor. In the meantime Amelia takes on a second job with Todd at an amazing restaurant and this is where the dynamic changes. Of course Amelia is easy to fall for so when the big boss takes a liking Todd is on guard. Is he ok with Amelia and Davis or will he get it together and stake claim to the girl he wants ?? For Amelia she is enjoying Davis yet realizing things between her and Todd are different. Will she accept him as more or keep brushing the feelings off and go forward with the enticing and hot Davis ?? Join the journey and enjoy the ride. Amelia is a lucky chick !! Dreams come true for many involved yet maybe not in the way they thought they wanted. My only complaint is that I would have loved some sexy time with Davis !!!!!!!!!
This was a beautiful story about friends to lovers. Todd and Lia were neighbors and were very close; they couldn't imagine their lives without each other in it. She was the artist and he was her own personal hot male model.
Todd could feel the chemisty between himself and Lia, but was reluctant to pursue her. Because of his past, he was scared that anything good he had in his life would go away. He didn't want to ruin their friendship or their easy banter.
Lia wasn't sure about Todd's feelings for her because she saw him as a player that only wanted a friendship. But, was he just playing that part to keep people from getting too close? Lia flirted with him, thought he was hot, and dreamed she could have more with him.
In steps Davis, Todd's boss, and he is interested in having a real relationship with Lia. Will he disrupt the easy flow that Todd and Lia have between them?
It isn't until Lia is reviewing the photographs of Todd for her gallery showing that she finally sees that her feelings were reciprocated through his eyes. But, is it too late?
The story was amazing, and the fact that the author wrote it in pieces and produced a flowing work of art shows her true talent.
I was gifted an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review, which I provided.
Amelia, also known as Noodle to Todd, has always been unlucky in love. Which costs hell with her self-esteem issues. After being fired from yet another job, her sexy neighbor Todd helps her get a job at the restaurant he works at. At Amelia's first day working there she meets her new boss Davis, who's a famous and handsome chef. Davis flirts with her right away. So Todd makes a plan with Amelia. Todd wants her to date Davis so he'll be able to be more creative in the kitchen to catch his big break. Amelia stars dating Davis while Todd realizes that he pushed the one girl he was developing real feelings towards the arms of another man.
I've always been a fan of Michelle Lynn's writing so I was looking forward to this one, especially when I looked at the GORGEOUS cover. The book was more of a love triangle than I thought it was going to be. When Davis was first introduced I did like him, but there was something that was holding me back from REALLY liking him. Sometimes he was a charmer and sometimes I thought he was a jerk. I always liked Todd and was rooting for him the beginning. I didn't get a sense of his romantic feelings for Amelia until later in the book. Amelia was very lovable. I felt connected with her since I have confidence issues myself.
This was told in first person through Todd and Amelia's POV.
Amelia is a struggling artist who is waiting for her big break. Showing confidence can be a struggle when you have a poor self image of yourself. Always worrying when the ball will fall and someone else is will get what you want and deserve. When the handsome kind man next door becomes on of your best friends, you wait for the shoe to fall. Never did she expect to feel the things she feels. But she can't put that friendship on the line.
When Todd saw her on that first day he knew she was special. Spending time with her was so refreshing and gave him a hope. Hope for all the things he wanted. She made it all seem possible. Slowly his hope was for something he never thought he would have, ever. Could it happen?
When they agree to help each other out and end up finding a key to so much more. This is a wonderful friends to lovers HEA. Michelle does a wonderful job of pulling you in and making you feel her characters.
** ARC copy provided in exchange for an honest review. **
The feels! I absolutely loved Seeing You by Michelle Lynn, and the ending...perfect for the most part. LOL.
Amelia is an artist who wants to put on her own show, ergo she needs money. Since the restaurant that her friend Todd , who also happens to be her favorite subject, works at is in need of help, it is a win/win situation with some strings attached. Yeah, he might have made a huge mistake with that one. He wants to be a chef and own his own place, and when his friend, Amelia starts working with him, it doesn't take long before she starts to develop feelings for his boss. Jealousy rushes to the surface and he soon realizes that he wants her for himself. Will three be a crowd or will she realize that she wants Todd and not Davis? Will all of their dreams come true? Will they get their happy ending? Only one way to get all of your questions answered. I do have to say, I love the run-in at the end in the gallery. I had a big grin on my face almost the entire time. You'll see what I'm talking about when you click to read.
In Seeing You we are introduced to Amelia and Todd, who are very close friends. It appears that Amelia and Todd are both attracted to each other, but neither of them act upon it for fear of risking their friendship. Amelia is a photographer who also uses her best friend, Todd as her model. So let's just say, she was seen ALL OF HIM. And she has ZERO complaints.
Amelia is trying to make some extra cash, so Todd gets her a job as a bartender at the restaurant that he is a chef at. In walks DAVIS. Davis owns said restaurant. Davis seems to want the same thing Todd does... AMELIA.
Will Todd ever step up to the plate and tell Amelia how he feels? Will Davis win over Amelia before Todd ever gets a chance? Will Amelia step out of her comfort zone and act on her attraction of either of these men? Will Davis' attraction to Amelia force Todd to act on his feelings?
I really enjoyed Seeing You. It was refreshing, and even though there were three parties in this storyline, I never felt as though it was a messy love triangle.
First of all I have to say I love the cover of Seeing You. It’s really beautiful.
About the story I have mixed feelings. I really liked Amelia and Todd’s banter and friendship, and how they realized they want more from each other.
Unfortunately I hate love triangles. After reading the blurb I didn’t think this would be a problem here, but it turned out, I was wrong. So as much I liked Lia&Todd together, I felt like only the last 40% of the book was really about them.
"I have one month to steal his girl – strike that, to claim my girl." (Okay, I did swoon here.)
Aside from that, it was nice to see how hard they worked for their dreams and the writing was good, as always.
Now I have to go and read Work Song by Danielle Allen and find out Tati’s story!
***ARC was kindly provided by author in exchange for an honest review***
The blurb reeled me in on this one, and even if Michelle Lynn wasn't an auto-read for me, I would be intrigued. Amelia & Todd are recent best friends & neighbors. She's trying to get her art career going (she's a photographer) and he's trying to get investors to open his own restaurant. Their friendship is really very sweet & awesome! Unfortunately, what kept this from being 5++ stars for me is that there is a bit of a triangle going on. I don't like when a large portion of the story is focused on a relationship outside of the two mains. The writing is excellent & the story is a good one - and the last few chapters were terrific!! I really enjoyed the whole nickname Todd has for Amelia, it's very cute (he calls her Noodle!). Awww! : )
Amelia and Todd are next door neighbors and friends. Todd is a chef aspiring to open his own place. Amelia works in an art gallery with a dream to have a showing of her own. She is a photographer and Todd is usually her subject matter.
In order to have money to be spotlighted at a gallery Amelia needs a second job, and the restaurant Todd works for is looking for a new bartender. Sparks start to fly between Amelia and her new boss (also Todd's boss).
A growing relationship makes Todd re-evaluate his feelings for Amelia. Can he get a chance before it's too late?

The secondary characters in this are just as great!
When I first met Lia in Work Song I was intrigued, never did I think the series was jumping authors but for some reason that works for these two ladies. I was SO pissed at Todd when he suggested his little idea because of the feelings I saw they had for one another but as I got more of his story I understood.
I was never a fan of David because he seemed like a privileged asshole but I was wrong and right at the same time. Did he deserve what he got, yes. Only because he thought name and clout woyld ultimately get him the girl. He was manipulative in a suave way but Todd and Lia dad saw through it. This was a nice classic friend to lovers with many unseen grand gestures from Todd. He knew how to love and was doing it but didn't know he was.
Seeing You was quick fun read that was a love triangle of sorts. I would give this book a 3.5 stars and recommend to others. This is the first book I have read by this author but I look forward to reading much more from her in the future.
I really did enjoy the banter between Amelia and Todd-- the neighbors that are good friends and help eachother out... yet both don't realize how much that care for each other until Amelia starts to date Todd's boss Davis. The Triangle will get messy and feelings will be put to the test.. but who will win out in the end? Todd or Davis???
I was torn between the two but towards the end I did choose one and thankfully I chose the right one! EEEEkkkk love when that happens. Go one click to find out who the winner will be!
Just finished an ARC of this sweet little gem! Michelle can write a story that keeps your attention with characters that you can't help but to fall in love with.
I really enjoy a friends-to-lovers story that has strong characters. Amelia was strong-willed and bound to follow her dreams by working hard and getting what she wants. Todd was an amazing chef with his own dreams that he was willing to pursue despite his background. Sometimes we just don't see WHO is in front of us & I am glad these two finally do.
I love a GREAT Grandma in a story and we had one here! It did leave me wondering about Tatiana ~ so I'm ready more more....
I was provided an ARC of this book and I thoroughly enjoyed the story of how Todd and Amelia find their HEA. I always love a story of neighbors that find love right under their noses. As with all Michelle Lynn books it was well written and captured me right from the start. Im not usually a fan of love triangles but his book was much deeper and about the characters finding a belief in themselves and opening their eyes to opportunities and what is around them. The title of this book could not be more appropriate. It's all in the eye of the beholder.
Guest Review by Tammy Cole I am a big fan of Michelle Lynn's and I was excited to read her newest book. Seeing You is a sweet friends to lovers romance. Todd and Lia are next door neighbors and Lia is a photographer who uses Todd as a model. Lia is in need of a job and goes to work with Todd, who is a chef. This is where Todd and Lia start to see each other in a different light. I loved seeing how Todd was falling in love with Lia and all the little things he did for her. This is a sweet romance story that will leave you with a smile on your face.
I received this for an honest review.. I have to say I fall more in love with this author with every book...
Amelia and Todd were an awesome couple. I really loved their kind of friends to lovers story line and as always the secondary characters are freaking awesome too!!!
This book pulled me in from page one!! Michelle is one of those authors that just pulls me into her books and just keeps me wanting more.. Although this is a standalone I really hope for more from this couple
