I met Gabby at the lowest point of my life. Little did I know my low point was nothing compared to hers. Mere weeks after my wife died and left me a single parent to our beautiful baby girl, I crashed into this girl that I didn’t know would one day become a part of my world. Gabby Rosdale just...fits. She fits into my life and I seem to fit into hers. Until I start to notice the small things. How nervous she gets when she’s around my daughter. The panic in her eyes when there’s a big crowd. The inability to function some days. I see it, but when the truth comes out... *18+ only*

*****I WON A COPY OF THIS EBOOK AT AN AUTHOR SIGNING*****
Where do I begin with this book!!!! When Mallory first told me about this story at the book signing I was a little hesitant to read this one because I don't usually do stories that will make me cry! But I am forever grateful and happy that I gave this story a chance! In this book we get to meet Benton & Gabby, while both are carrying their own baggage, they are both looking for something not quite knowing what it is they are looking for!

Gabby has her own issues and can not trust her self to love anyone besides herself because of the guilt that she carries with her. Can Gabby let go of all of the guilt and allow herself to love and be loved by the one person that means the world to her? or will her secrets be too much and ultimately cost her everything.

Benton James is a man that knows what he wants but just doesn't know how to go about getting it. He is a single father to an amazing little girl named Hannah whom he adopted after his wife's death. Hannah is the reason that Benton is the father he is! He has changed his life so that he could be the best father he could be. How does an ex-fighter become a man that is completely wrapped around the little finger of the cutest little girl in the world? Benton and Gabby have been sexual partners without the benefits of being in a relationship but, that is taking a toll on Benton because he is vastly falling in love with someone that he promised he was fine with their arrangements.

Can Benton, Gabby, & Hannah become the family that Benton wants? or will all of the secrets and craziness going on in their life tear Benton and Gabby apart? I highly suggest checking out this amazing book that will leave you wanting to know what happens next! Be prepared to sit on the edge of your seat and come prepared with Kleenex's because you will need them at different points in this amazingly written book!!!!

I'm not rating this book because I didn't finish it. Which is VERY rare for me. I really wanted to like this book...had been looking forward to its release...it has an insanely hot cover...but I just couldn't get into it. I stopped at 70% because I didn't care what happened next, I wasn't invested into either of the main characters enough.
Just because I don't like it doesn't mean no one else will. I've seen some pretty great reviews, it's just not my thing. So I think it would be unfair to the author and potential readers to leave a negative rating here or on Amazon for a book I didn't finish. I HATE when that's done, so I won't do it myself. I suggest checking out the other reviews to see if you might like it, plenty of other readers have given it 5 stars.

5 Crazy Amazing Stars! I was blown away!!!

This author has truly outdone herself with Crazy! I fell in love with Benton and Gabby in Just Go. We already knew Benton's story but Gabby was very intriguing she was a mystery. I could not wait for their story. And Wow what a story it is.

Gabby does not do relationship, or monogamy of any kind and she pulls no punches about it. She has demons that haunt her from very dark and trouble past.
Benton is a widower with a new born baby girl he is still cooping with the loss of his wife.

These two will take you on a emotional journey that will make your heart cry and your pulse race.

This is truly a phenomenal read. I highly recommend !!

**arc received for honest review**

We have been a bit of an M. Dauphin fan for a few books now and when we seen the arc come up for this we just had to have it. Once again we were taken on a crazy adventure as always we were not disappointed with this book.

Gabby is a beautiful young lady who has had a crappy up bringing a really shitty childhood thanks to her mother. Then she was handed another blow that totally broke her. She lost her abusive partner but she also lost he baby boy in a car accident.
She is barely living.

Shes hanging on with help of medication that she is abusing so she can make it through the day. Gabby has crippling anxiety and a lot of the time she also blacks out.

But she is alive.

Benton has been dealt some pretty bad stuff even though he had a great childhood with parents he adores he lost his wife in a car accident the day they adopted there baby girl Hannah.

He is living

His a single dad

He adores his daughter

He lives for her

Then his life is changed when he meets her......

Gabby......

They don't start of dating or the norm couple as Gabby doesn't do relationships she isn't tide to one person she never gets close enough to get hurt and let them get hurt. The are just f^/$ friends until Benton give her the ultimatum.

“Bad things happen, Gabby. Life is random, but love is true. I’m sticking with you through this, thick and thin. We’ll figure this out together, day by day…"

Life is hard for them both there trying to move on but danger and crazy is lurking in the back ground.

"I’m so in love with you it hurts physically when I have to think about a world without you.”

Do Benton and Gabby get there happy after?

Or is the crazy danger around them to strong?

"Sometimes life can be crazy, but when you find that one person that makes you better, the crazy doesn't seem so bad."

That you will have to read to find out!

We absolutely loved this book we felt the emotions of the characters we laughed, we cried, we were scared to turn the page.

Thank you M. Dauphin for an amazing roller coaster of a ride.

I was given this ARC of Crazy to read and give an honest review. I truly loved this story. The chemistry between Benton and Gabby is sexy and romantic along with suspense and drama. The way that Benton and Gabby deal with everyday life is unbelievable. They have great friends and family who love them and just want them to trust each other and be in love. Hannah is the light of their lives and you can feel all the love for this little girl. This is a must read.

Let's start with Benton. This sexy brooding man has his work cut out for him, not only with being a single father but dealing with the crazy that is Gabby.
Like most of the author's books, this book is a flincher. Flincher: afraid to turn pages, flinching every time you do because the ride M. Dauphin takes you on isn't one you want to get off of until the end.

With a title like this and the description of a single dad, I was totally in board with reading this book. All the books I've read by this author I have loved so I had very high hopes that this one wouldn't be different.

Gabby was a huge mystery through out the story. I really liked her and her openness but she was also super closed off.

Benton was amazing. Caring but at the same time he had his own issues. He was a hot dad who put his daughter first.

So with out giving anything away the plot and whole story were very unique. My heart broke a few times through out the story. It was twisty and had many questions that needed answered though out. I was hooked.

Overall the author did an amazing job at having everything wrapped up but the end. I was emotionally invested in these characters and that's always a huge plus when reading. 5 stars #2OCCJD

Crazy by M. Piper is...yes crazy. We all have just a little bit of crazy in us. But Benton and Gabby have had some of the most horrible tragedies happen to them and most people would allow them have their own little crazy worlds. Gabby will never ever commit. She needs people, men, women, it doesn't matter. She loves sex and as long as it is all surface with no real connections, she is just fine with it. Benton is a single Dad. His addiction to Gabby threatens her world and while he thinks they can make it work, she doesn't believe she can ever deserve any measure of happiness. Watch these two navigate the hurdles and pitfalls of relationship with so much past pain. It will either end beautifully or tragically. Crazy is as crazy does.

Crazy good...

3.5 stars

Crazy...what can I say, I'm crazy. You probably have a little bit too. We all have our own crazy. It's just that the crazy in the books will make you glad it isn't your own. Because crazy shit happens a lot in here...

Crazy bad. Not crazy good. Gabby's life is a hidden mess. She hides her pain behind a mask. She hides the crazy that surrounds her behind her mask. But when the craziest parts come out, there is no hiding.

I may have suggested to a friend that the author is mean. But in my defense, she made me cry. So if you don't mind "mean authors", clearly you are crazy. And if you are already crazy...what's a little more in your life?!?!

Crazy

The title on this book is so fitting. Gabby has been dealt with a horrible life. I honestly felt so bad for everything she went through. As I got engrossed more into the book I couldn't help but feel so much sadness and anxiety. Having Benton there to help her was the best that could have happened to her and him as well. They both deserved happiness but most importantly peace. M.Piper thanks for this amazing story. 💜

When I first started this book, I was not sure if I was going to be able to finish it BUT I am glad I did. This book was amazing. The last sentence in the book says it all: I may be a little crazy, but aren't we all? Benton and Gabby both have reasons for who they are and how they live. They each have to fight thru their pasts to succeed with a future together. Along the way things happen but they fight for what they want together.

Finish this this book, do not put it aside.

Benton and Gabby each have their own baggage and guilt to hurdle, but can their FWB turn into something more? Will the secrets Gabby hides scare Benton away? The end result is pulse racing and you will cry, want to hug them and fall in love with Benton even more than you do in the beginning. Crazy is a book that I highly recommend. I won this book in 2016 and just now had a chance to read it (Crazy right?!) I hope to see more down the road on this trio.

Aren't we all a little bit Crazy?? Crazy about Benton *swoon*
I loved these two! Benton and Gabby both had pasts they were moving on from and finding what they needed in each other. He was so amazing and a hot single dad too! He was willing to do whatever he could to make Gabby feel safe and happy.
And of course a bit angst was to be expected cause it is a Piper book!!

This was a tough read! There are all kinds of reasons to remember to love your family and friends every day. Gabby hasn't had an easy life. She's been through a lot and has scars to prove it. Mostly emotionally. Benton had his own sad story after losing his wife the day they adopted their daughter. Together they are both perfect and a big mess. Excellent story.

Received a copy of the title in exchange for an honest review.

This was a good book -- well written with likable characters. Sadly, though, the one thing that resonates the most for me was the overuse of the word "Crazy", whether it was this is crazy, or the thought was crazy, or however the author chose to use the word, it was simply overused. I love the subtle hints about why a book was titled the way it was, but when the single word that is the title is thrown in as often as it was here, I really yearned for a different title...

Now that that's done...

I actually did enjoy this story. This was a spin-off, sure, but I didn't read JUST GO and I certainly didn't feel lost -- the author gave enough information on Benton for the reader to know what was going on in his life and how he got to the point he was at.

Gabby, though... this woman had quite the past, and it took some time to unfold. After a relationship gone sour, Gabby spent more time with the ladies than the men -- it was too easy for her to become attached to men, and she had just as much fun with women and did not get attached. Her girlfriend is in a similar situation -- has her man on the side, but spends most of her time with Gabby. Gabby likes her time with Benton, but she can feel herself maybe wanting a little bit more, and she definitely can feel that he does want more, so she's at a bit of a crossroads.

I can say that I didn't necessarily care for Gabby's character. I felt she was flippant and definitely had more 'me, myself, and I' moments, and as such, I wanted something more for Benton. I didn't care for her teenaged attitude she had during some serious moments; while the situations themselves definitely were attention seeking situations, her attitude of them simply had me wanting her to grow up some.

Benton was a great father (and oh, the heartstrings that pull surrounding his daughter and being widowed... major brownie points for this man) and he cared deeply for Gabby, so watching him allow Gabby to pull him back and forth hurt my heart a little bit. I did love him, though, for allowing Gabby to open up at her pace... slow as it was.

The story, again, was enjoyable. The writing style was simply 'good' in my book, though. Some dialogue felt choppy, some lines felt too 'skim the surface' when they could have delved a bit deeper... but not a bad story!

LEEANN'S REVIEW
5 STARS

So this is my 1st Mallory Dauphin solo book. I have read other books she has co-written with another author and they were great but I wasn't sure what to expect from a book she wrote solo. Well, it turns out I was blown away!

I adored both of the main characters Benton and Gabby. They each have a boat load of baggage and neither of them believe they deserve to be happy (each for different reasons) until a certain point when they both decide they are going for broke and they are all in.

You may need tissues for this one, this book is pure heartache and a rebuilding and rising from the ashes story. What Gabby and Benton have been through before meeting each other you would not wish on anyone.

There isn't alot of humour in this story but there is lots of steamy sexy scenes, there are moments of torturous heartbreak, there are times when you want to jump into the pages and wrap the characters up in cotton wool and lastly there is hope. Hope that they will find happiness, hope that they find inner peace and hope they get their happy ending.

This story is an emotional rollercoaster ride but it is one you don't want to miss. It is definitely worth the read and definitely worth recommending to other readers.

Mallory Dauphin is an exceptionally talented author and her ability to draw you in and hold your attention while ripping out your heart and putting it back together shines through in this story leaving no doubt she has the gift of being a fabulous story teller.

I absolutely FLOVED this story! Gabby and Benton will leave an impression on your soul. Gabby has a traumatic past. She now lives her life with boundaries to keep her from suffering again. She is closed off and vows to never enter another relationship. Benton is still grieving the loss of his wife, however, life goes on for him and his daughter. He knows that Gabby is the key to his happiness. He just has to convince her that he is the key to hers. I love these characters. They are so deep and intense. The storyline was amazing and flowed effortlessly. The detail and emotion that was poured into this story was incredible. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

description

Gabby and Benton were both put through traumatic events leaving them with skeletons they wanted to hide from. Benton loses his wife in a car accident the day they are suppose to adopt their daughter Hannah. Benton goes through with the adoption and Hannah becomes Benton's life. He is very close to his parents as he was an only child, and they help take care of Hannah. Benton lost the love of his life and never expected to be given another chance. But then Gabby walks into his life and everything changes. Gabby is just trying to get through the days without having an attack, her anxiety cripples her on a regular basis. She has lost so much, but shoulders that blame for so long that she doesn't believe she deserves anything different, and starts miss using her medications to get through the day. Gabby doesn't want to let Benton into her life, and especially not Hannah, they aren't safe with her in their life and only bad things will happen. So she keeps it to just sex for months, not allowing it to go any further, and not being monogamous with Benton. Benton is falling for Gabby and gives her an ultimatum, that he isn't sure will end in his favor. But he can't keep doing this, he wants more from Gabby. Gabby doesn't share her past with anyone. And definitely not Benton, if he knew he wouldn't want anything to do with her. Can he break her barriers down and gets through? So much tragedy is between them in the past and in their future, will they be able to hold on to this crazy love or will they be torn apart? Will Gabby get her happily ever after, the one she doesn't feel she deserves? Or will Benton lose another love he never expected to find?

This book made me emotionally Crazy, and I LOVED IT! I'm a newer fan to M. Dauphin's work, but I can say this, now I can't get enough!

Gabby has an extremely dark past that makes it hard to function normally. She has severe panic attacks that she is terrified people will see, so she doesn't let anyone all the way in. Benton is a single dad after his wife died. He finally feels something again when he hooks up with Gabby. There is just one problem, she refuses to do relationships. As they spend more time together, the feelings that are developing have Gabby on the run. Will Benton get her to stop running long enough to give them a shot?

WOW WOW WOW! The emotional roller coaster ride that I just went on has left my mind blown. The character development is fantastic, with secondaries that played hell on my emotions as well. I had a hard time not getting mad at Gabby a couple of times even though I completely empathized with her. Adam, Benton's best friend, enraged me the most, and I wanted to throat punch him so much! An original, gripping, well written story line flowed perfectly while keeping me on the edge of my seat. M. Dauphin's brilliant writing style had my emotions all over the place, and I physically experienced this story with a severe book hang over to show for it. There are so many layers unraveling all through Crazy, that I'm not sure my heart ever stopped pounding. The sexy scenes are SCORCHIN' HOT, with the love messy and realistic. I can't say enough about this epic story so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Well I am not sure Crazy is really the appropriate title but I cant think of a batter one either as this book takes you on the crazy journey of two people. This is the first books of M. Dauphin I have read and I did enjoy it. It was not a book I could not put down but was most definitely one I enjoyed.

This is the story of Gabby and Benton. Benton was a single dad who lost his wife was to soon. They had plans to adopt and upon her death he decided to move forward with that which gave him his beautiful daughter Hannah.

Gabby was a very successful young lawyer who had a very dark past of abuse and loss. These two meet at both attracted to each other but Gabby didn't do relationships people only get hurt in those. After months of being friends with benefits Benton could no longer live that way. He wanted it all. Needed it all he had a baby girl to think about plus he fell head over heals in love with Gabby. Can Gabby share what she has been through and move forward? They both have past they need to share. Can they trust one another to give it their all.

There is so much these two go through with. Gabby is not one to trust or to give her heart completely to one person. This book is filled with tragedy, love, through in some good friends and it really is a great read. No cliffhangers so you are not left not knowing what is going to happen.

I was gifted this book for an honest review.

I received a complimentary copy of Crazy in exchange for an honest review.

The title of this book is fitting, extremely fitting – Crazy! This was my first book from M. Dauphin – her writing is CRAZY amazing, her style is CRAZY good. This book is just CRAZY!

Let’s take a moment to think about the word crazy and what we’d imagine as crazy (seriously, think about this for a second)… OK, you’ve thought about it, right? Now, read this book – trust me when I say never in a million years could I have imagined the crazy in this book. Are the people crazy? hmmmm… aren’t we all a little crazy? Maybe a little. Is the situation crazy? Absolutely. Do crazy things keep happening to keep us swiping those pages? ABSOLUTELY! It’s a page turner for sure, even though you may be afraid to flip the page! You just need to know what more craziness could possibly happen.

Benton lost his young wife way too early – they were in the process of adopting. He decided to keep the baby they were adopting, Hannah, even with his wife’s passing. Crazy Amazing right?

Gabby has had a difficult life – from birth to current day, a heart breaking life. She has made the best of it and has tried to move forward. Even if that means popping pills to help keep the crazies at bay. Unfortunately the craziness seems to follow her everywhere.

This book is a must read.

This is the first novel I have read by M. Dauphin without the help of Frost. I always knew I would love them separately, but I didn’t know how much. Dauphin nailed me to the floor emotionally with this book. She is not afraid to let a reader bleed out to get to the sweet spot and I love that about her. CRAZY is a story about love, loss, and the pursuit of happiness.

Gabby- This girl intrigued me from the beginning. While some may shy away from her antics at the beginning I hope everyone gives her a chance to let you see who she is deep down inside. She is a complicated and sad character, but she is also tough and loyal.

Benton- Can we say hot dad alert?! That is right he is not only fit and tattooed…he is also a proud daddy. A daddy of any little girl’s dreams. He also has a sad past, but unlike Gabby, his seems to be raw and exposed. He has certainly loved and lost in this book, but he is the type to rise above and live life to the fullest. He will stop at nothing to tame Gabby, but will he be enough?

This book is meant to be a spin-off of another book, but I haven’t read it and I did more than fine keeping up with the secondary characters. That is the gold of a wonderful author, they make it easy to start wherever in the series and make you feel good and in the loop no matter what.

“He leans down and gently kisses me, igniting my need for him. It’s been too long since we’ve had sex that, the minute he deepens the kiss, I feel my body started tingling. Slowly and without words, he undresses me until we are each bare, vulnerable, and connected in only a way that lovers can.”

5 crazy, sexy stars.

Gabby has a rough go at life since she was a child. Then just when she thought her life couldn’t get any worse, she loses her abusive boyfriend and her baby boy in a deadly car accident. She’s now left alone and living, barely, on her own. But because of this she’s addicted to meds to deal with getting through the day. She has severe anxiety and occasionally blacks out due to her anxiety. Benton has had a pretty decent upbringing but he too lost his wife in a car accident which now leaves him as a single father. His daughter is his world, everything he does is for her. Then he meets Gabby, and that changes. The problem? Gabby doesn’t do relationships and treats Benton as a “friend with benefits” basically, but when he gives her an ultimatum will she take it??

This book is heartbreaking but it’s so beautiful to see these two lonely people with loss come together and try to navigate through life together as best as they can!! I loved this book!!
