"A chill ran up her spine, triggering an alarm that spread through her system. Her eyes studied him as his eyes studied her. In the recesses of her mind, a fragment of a memory tingled...a tiny blip from long ago. An image spiraled, then vanished. There was something about this young man, this Ari Ben Aviv. There was something about him she couldn't pinpoint."

On the heels of her last mystery, Elisabeth's new patient is more than meets the eye, and unraveling his secrets will throw her team into a desert storm of double agents and religious extremists. All that stands between love and ware are two families, two brothers, and two conflicting versions of the truth.

Seeing Double Required Some Focus to Settle into the Story. I had a tough time diving into this book. I settled right into Reinhardt's chapters and interactions--but, found myself needing to re-read and refocus a bit as the other characters were introduced and the scenes began to form. Alexander creates some amazing characters throughout this book--I just found it a little complicated to "map everything out" with a single read through of the first several chapters.

Seeing Double offers a complicated cast of characters and twisting plot. Alexander is a very organized, detailed writer. Once I had everything (and everyone) "organized" in my own reader's mind--the book moved flawlessly. Seeing Double takes readers on a fast paced, complicated, twisting and turning adventure all the way through to the end. The author offers readers a lot of detail and a lot of information as she moves among her various characters to unveil the story. I love the design of this series--as readers are included in a host of subplots and scenes within each and every chapter.

Would I recommend Seeing Double? After reading and re-reading the first several chapters of the book; I settled into the characters and their stories. Alexander creates a wonderfully, complex, interrelated book from her various characters and a host of plot twists and side stories. This book is the first book in a series--and; unlike Relentless, this book does end with some unresolved issues--some of them larger issues, so readers should plan to add the next book of the series to their reading list. I enjoy Alexander's writing style. I enjoy the inside looks at each of her characters and their individual stories. This book will keep readers guessing--and create enough interest in the characters and their plights to pull readers forward to the next book of the series.

I received a copy of this book from the author or publisher for use in a blog review. All opinions are my own.

In this gripping tale, several covert organizations are forced to interact with one another for the good of mankind. A new, extreme organization has been created and growing rapidly. In each organization, the individuals do not know who they can trust. While each feels loyal and dedicated to their organization and its participants, there are many unusual happenings which stirs up doubt of even the most trusted individuals.

There are several covert actions which occur. Who will prevail and who will die?
This is a tale of dedication, loyalty, trust, betrayal, deceit, binding relationships, love, regret, and turmoil.

Seeing Double has a large variety of different "players" and organizations contained in this one novel! Although the characters personalities and attributes are described well, the reader may become confused if he/she does not concentrate. It was, especially, confusing to me the first portion of the book. While the story is well told, it would be more effective if it had been divided up more without so many "players" at once. The transition from one scenario to another was not smoothly done. It felt quite "choppy".

Although the book I read is an ARC, there were excessive grammatical errors. Profanity was used often but was masked by faulty spelling. The scenes were described well. The characters interactions were felt by the reader. too. The book's ending was very weak. It was left unfinished for a signal that there was a sequel, but the place the author chose to break off, was not chosen well. It left the reader feeling he/she was missing a page. The Book Cover and Title, however,  were well chosen.

*This book was gifted to me without any guidelines of giving a positive review. This is my honest review.

Five friends made a promise years ago to keep the hatred between their countries from ruining the world. They decided to do what they could to stop the wars. Years earlier one of the women attended college in America and needed help from Elisabeth. Now her son and daughter are going to need her help. Then back at home, two of the other friends has made a life on an olive farm but their daughter was in the wrong place at the wrong time and has been kidnapped. It’s going to be up to the friends, Elisabeth Reinhardt, and the Chevra Hatzollah to help save Jamila and to stop the radicals from creating a bomb to destroy everything and start the holy war.

This book has a lot of characters and events happening at once. It took me a little bit to get into the story because of all the characters. But once I figured out what was happening it was easier to follow along. But I will admit that I really enjoyed the portions with Elisabeth in them and no so much the other subplots. Don’t get me wrong, they are well written well and do make the story flow.

I liked Relentless and was eager to see how Seeing Double was going to play out. I did enjoy it although there was more substance to it compared to Relentless. It is also the start to a new series so there are some things that are left unresolved. I’m eager to see what happens to the in the future books.

I received Seeing Double from iRead Book Tours for free. This has in no way influenced my opinion of this book.

Seeing Double is a complex story of international intrigue featuring a religious extremist who has embraced the concept of a devastating world cleanse that would bring about the end of mankind. He is attracting an ever growing group of zealots who believe in this vision. Several different agencies are working separately to untangle all the threads. They need to uncover everyone involved and more importantly, figure out where the financing is coming from. Time is running out.

Adding depth to the book is a side story of family and friends living in different worlds, yet struggling to keep a youthful promise to work together for peace between their cultures. Loyalties are stretched to the limit and promises of total honesty cannot be kept. Will their deep connection survive the challenges that arise.

Author Nancy J Alexander's job was a difficult one with this book - how to introduce readers to a large number of diverse characters and plot threads early in the book while building excitement. She succeeds beautifully. From there she slowly wove all those separate elements into an ending I guarantee will surprise you.

I chose to read this book after receiving a free e-copy. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

I had read Relentless by Nancy J. Alexander and it was a good psychological thriller so I was looking forward to reading Seeing Double. Although the books have Elisabeth Reinhardt in common, they are quite different. I did learn quite a bit more about Elisabeth than I did in the first book.

It was difficult to figure out this book at the beginning. It jumped from one situation to another and there were so many characters that it was hard to keep up let alone stay interested. Eventually it all came together but I'm not sure that everyone would stick with it to figure it all out. I recommend that they do because it does end up being worth it. The ending just seemed to stop with issues unresolved. I'm guessing that means there's another one to come.

I found Nancy J. Alexander's descriptions of scenes and characters good but I definitely liked Relentless better. I look forward to reading another book by the author in hopes that she goes back to the psychological thriller she does so well.

An exciting adventure that takes us around the world and through past and present. Elisabeth is part of a secret but very important organization. Her newest patient holds many secrets some that tie into her own past. This time, Elisabeth and her organization find themselves trying to extract a young family in the middle of a war torn country and in the camp of a new terror organization. In the midst of this is a family whose Mother Elisabeth knew and her children, whom Elisabeth begins to know quite well!

The plot is intense and very well planned out. It kept you guessing at every second, never allowing (or you wanting!) to put the book down. We are given just enough information at each stage of the novel to help us unravel the story. It is full of suspense, fear, anxiety, hope and excitement. You never quite know what to expect next but she never disappoints you.

Seeing Double is a well written, excellent novel full of suspense and mystery that you will fall in love with from page one. A definite must read

What the what!?

I can’t lie – this book was confusing. There are a lot of people and situations to keep track of. People, game players, groups, subgroups, situations, events, good guys, bad guys – holy characters!

The first third of the book, I was very confused and lost. There were all these things going on with all these people and I couldn’t keep it all straight, but it slowly began coming together. Everyone was somehow linked to someone and it all started to make sense.

It was at the same time that the suspense and mystery started to pick up as we piece together the puzzle of what is going to happen, what is going on, who is a good guy, who is a bad guy, who is a spy, who is out for who.

I had an inkling the way the ending occurred – in my mind, it could only end one of two ways. I really hope there is a next book because I would love to learn what comes next.

Overall, a little slow, very confusing, but definitely worth the read!

Will loyalties break the pact of friendship?

This book is so intriguing especially with our current situations that deal with Muslim and their kind. Though I admit not all Muslims are bad. My big half sisters and brother were Muslim. My sisters both escape from their traditions, customs and lives normal life.

It is fascinating to read about the pact of friendships and their histories. All of them were successful in there chosen careers. Their loyalties are tempted when one relative member was kidnapped.

This book is hard to put it down just like the first book that I read from the author. There are many characters in this story but so different and so unique to read. I liked the setting. My favorite character is Elisabeth Reinhardt. She is very strong, fearless and wiling to sacrifice her life to solve the mysteries.

This book has no dull moments. It will keep you entertained until the last page. I highly recommend it if you love to read thriller.

This is part two of the Elisabeth Reinhardt series. Perhaps you could read this as a stand a lone but, I don't recommend it. The story is very much a gripping, emotional, grab-you-by-the collar kind of story. I enjoyed this book very much but, just be forewarned, it does take a little focus while reading it as there is a lot going on. Not that it is confusing but, if you don't pay attention to the storyline and the details within, you could find yourself getting lost or confused. There is some adult language - so be forewarned about that as well..
This story was captivating and kept my attention and because the ending left me hanging, I am safely assuming there will be a third book; otherwise the ending (in my humble opinion) was weak and unfinished.
