A Bad Boy Rockstar Romance

They call me a womanizing, panty-drenching prick. They're not wrong. I'm the hottest rising star on the planet. What I want...I take.
I front the biggest rock band on the goddamn planet.
Groupies fight over me. Endorsement deals struggle to get my attention.
And the second I saw that sexy little bartender in the Alabama woods?
I just knew I had to have a taste of Angel. Or two.
But I didn't expect to fall for her.
And now?
Now, I'm risking it all to save her.

Illicit Behavior is a standalone novel with a HEA and absolutely no cliffhanger.

I'm not sure why I continued to trudge through this book. I can say the storyline wasn't terrible. But not much else was to my liking.

The characters were juvenile. Of course Angel was only 18 (which emphasizes the point that ages of characters need to be detailed in the blurbs), but they never really said how old Trent was other than "young" (he was old enough to drink, though). I like heroines who are strong, so this chick I didn't like much. She was easily manipulated by everyone, including Trent.

Much was mentioned about Trent's darkness and how he felt he didn't deserve Angel or any of what he had. However, none of his background is shared to give the reader clues as to why he feels that way. What is so terrible about his past that makes him feel so worthless? We learn about Angel's past, but his is still a mystery.

And don't get me started on the love scenes. Let's just say his "weapon" (eye roll) is inserted into her "chasm." Jeez. I'm guessing readers giggling through the sex scenes wasn't intended.

Like I said, the story wasn't terrible, but it would have been nice if the characters were a bit older and the love scenes weren't unintentionally funny.

I have a couple of other works by Wild and found the writing quality much better. Illicit Behavior, reads like something she might have written early on, she just getting her feet wet. Then again, the characters are young it's possible that Wild intended to curve the story on the cheesy side for the newbies entering the world of adult romance. On that note it was an okay read and has some redeeming value for the younger readers.

It's okay but didn’t like the book all that much. However, the characters were borderline from unlikable to a few exceptions the plot was a bit poor. The writing was poor at worst and bad at best. I developed some interest in the book but not enough to sustain me. If part of a series, at least one thing peeked my interest to continue. Even though the plot was uninteresting, not original or unique in any way and contained an overload of pretense, the romance was a little better but the romance was still flawed. The male/female lead was possibly abusive, verbal/physical or both, boring, or had no to very little chemistry with love interest, etc. Everything was too easily predictable. Overall, ok maybe some redeeming value!

I liked this story. I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 because while the steamy parts were hot some wording bordered on too cheesy (for me anyway). A lot of "hard weapon", "throbbing tool", "steaming core" and "chasm" references to name a few. They where enough to detract but never went too far to make me stop/skip over the encounter. I liked that Trent grew from a spoiled rockstar to thinking and caring about someone other than himself. He is a great hero that saves the day more than once. I would have like more interaction/back ground between the members of the band to see why things happened the way they did though. Angel also went thru changes as well. It was nice to see her go from insecure/"broken" to someone who believes they deserve to be happy. Overall this was a good read and I'll definitely look for more from this author.

Again Nikki Wild you ROCK!!! I thought I might get bored reading so many in a row about Rock Stars, but I didn't. They are all great! Love Trent and Angels story. It is easy to relate to not being good enough. I think most people have experienced that at least once in their lives. I love how sweet they are with each other and how they build each other up.

Now on to your MC books! I can NOT get enough of MC Bad Boys!!! hubby said if I ever leave him he will know it is for a BADASS Biker! LOL

I enjoyed a lot of it but the whole thing with her amnesia and her family kinda threw me. Also, there wasn't any real reason for their instalove. That wouldn't happen in the real world.

Another freaking "novel" that ends at 49%!

I'm so tired of spending money on books that claim to be full length novels and 49% into it it ends...but hey here's an extra book for you to read!

Hello...I bought the book because it wanted to read about Angel and Trent and what I got was a fun read that was rushed...shoved full of awkward sex scenes and a stilted suspense dialog that could have been more but there wasn't enough room in the "novella" to make it work.

No real back story for Angel...no real explanation about Roger...and what about her mothers part in all this...and Angel's memories??? Nothing...just sex scenes that left much to be desired and a lot of holes that I couldn't fill.

I should have known better...I bought Ms. Wilde's Fall in to me and was disappointed then because it ended at 16% but I should have paid closer attention because this book is at the end of Fall in to me and I wouldn't have had to buy it...oh well...live and learn...I don't think I'll buy anymore books by this author.

Trent Masters is a bad boy rock musician. He's fed up, and decides to get away from the band and his manager for a few hours. In a dive bar out in the middle of nowhere, Alabama, he meets Angel. She's tending bar, and after he excuses himself, she is attacked by a group of bikers. He saves her, and invites her to attend his concert the next day. Wow, I loved these characters, and thought they were believably flawed. Their pasts aren't pretty, but they manage to find love in spite of the obstacles other people throw at them. Fantastic book, I loved it!

I received this ARC free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Nikki Wild.

Trent Masters was a sexy rock and roll guy in a band and a player. A different gal or gals in every city they played but it was getting old for him. But when he met Angel something was different about her. Angel was looking to get out of the run down bar and run down town she lived in. Problem was she had no money to go anywhere. When she is saved by the sexy Trent things start to get wild for Angel and she is in for a bumpy ride.

This is for mature romance book readers because of sexual content/situations.

This is an ARC given in return for an honest review .
It's the first book I read from this author . The story of Trent and Angel is well written and the characters are well developed too , with a great amount of steamy sex .
The author surprised me totally with this NOT so predictable ( happy) end .
What should begin as a one night stand ends in something totally different .
Illict Behavior left me satisfied , whitch is always a "PLUS" for a good written erotic story !
Recommend this book to every adult reader !

This was very interesting to say the least. I'm just glad it turned out for the better. The suspense of the story was cool. Making a decision to take in a new person that you've only known 24-48hrs doesn't seem logical to me. Yes I understand the darkness behind both characters. On one hand you've got a rising musician with a history of being a player looking for something more. Then you've got a beautiful young woman with a cruelly troubled past. Mix those together & you have an interesting combination.

I liked Trent and Angel but I just couldn't seem to feel a connection to them. They seemed a little dull in fact for me. Angel's whole upbringing/life seems a little confusing and even when everything came out in the open what exactly was going on with her mother during all that time. And then her grandfather thought it best for her to not know who he truly is...again that confused me. Then you've got Trent...he's supposed to be a bad boy player but I didn't get the feel for that at all. Yeah there was talk of it but that was it. Was a decent enough quick read though.

If you like reading about bad boys changing after meeting the right girl, then this is the book for you. Angel is a bit naive through most of the book, but at the end she has lost the naivity. Good chemistry between main characters.

Book ends at 63% with a bonus full length book that follows. I enjoyed this story, but I did have some problems with the story line. Some character's just didn't quite make sense and some of the dialogue/thoughts didn't seem thought out. I get that Angel was suppose to seem 18, but her character's behavior would go back and forth with seeming older and younger than her age. Did have some hot if not a little cheesy scenes. Overall ok read.

Trent is an unhappy rock-star, until he walks into a broke-down Alabama bar and rescues Angel, the beautiful bartender, from a depraved bunch of evil bikers. He takes her on tour with him but that creates a new set of problems with his band-mates. Between Angel's disgusting mother and Trent's self-serving manager, Angel finds herself in a dangerous hole that not even Trent can dig her out of. Good story but way too many sex scenes and excessive profanity.

This book was good... Not great. I did enjoy Angel and Trent together, however as lots of other readers have pointed out, the bedroom talk definately put me off... The description of their steamy moments really turned me off. My version has another book included so I will give the author one more try.

You get a bonus story in this book To serve and protect . The first story about Trent and Angel great story loved the redemption at the end but for some reason loved the bonus novel better. It had so many twist and turns . I was screaming at my kindle yes it was like that. So that is why this book got 4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I do believe I have found a new favorite author in Nikki Wild. I really enjoyed reading this book it was amazing. I mean you has your bad boy rocker trying to do good when he stumbles across a young beautiful bartender in a rundown podunk bar out in the middle of nowhere saves her life and in return she saves his.

Meh

I didn't hate this book but I could've lived without it. My biggest issue was the awkward wording in the sex scenes. A dick shouldn't be called a weapon unless it's a rape. And seriously, who calls their dick a tool? Also, the drama with the band was left really nebulous. I didn't understand why the band mates were such assholes. Not really a winner for me

I really really enjoyed this reading this book. Trent was just going threw the motions of life living as a rockstar. He felt empty and lonely. Once he meets angel everything changes. Not only does she change him for the better he does the same for her. Such a cute and powerful story.

thought this was a sweet story of growing up and finding love. Angel was broken and alone. When Trent found her he realized she meant more to him than a hook up. Angel just had to accept she could have the happiness he offered. I enjoyed their story.

Confusing drama

Quick read. Had potential to be better. The drama with band didn't make sense. In the beginning the lead guitarist was cool and then turn ugly quick.
