A decent collection of Renaissance style brain teasers to give your mind a fun workout…

The Leonardo da Vinci Puzzle Codex: Riddles, Puzzles and Conundrums Inspired by the Renaissance Genius by Richard Wolfrik Galland is a series of puzzles pattered after the work of the legendary Renaissance man of the same name…

With logic problems, pattern recognition, variant sudoku, and math queries among others…you can have some fun depending on the level you want to try.

Meanwhile the puzzles utilize either works of art or other designs of Da Vinci, or at least something period appropriate. Meanwhile they do reference some of the families and groups of the period, much like modern problems or puzzles would utilize today’s concepts.

Amusing…low stakes…worth giving a try even as a distraction from a stressful day….

Има някои наистина добри загадки, но половината книга е заета от такива, които се повтарят и след третата доскучват, съответно - неееекст, особено картинните. Пълно е с неточности в описанието и решенията, което за книга със загадки е не-до-пус-ти-мо!

П.С. Книгата много слабо засяга Леонардо, т.е. скиците и картините на Леонардо могат да се заменят с такива на произволен ренесансов изобретател, без това да промени нищо (освен продажбите, може би).

Two good puzzles and three good anagrams (if you forgive the spelling mistake). Otherwise, it's the same old material with superficial changes. One of the answers is mangled and one plain wrong.
