A.F. Crowell lives in Charleston, SC with her husband and two sons. They have two dogs, Diesel, a German Shepherd rescue and Dez, a black Labrador Retriever. She shares her love of books with her children, who have a head start on becoming life-long readers.
Romance fiction hit her radar when her husband forced her to watch Twilight one weekend when they were snowed in. That was it! From there her love grew; Contemporary Romance, Paranormal, YA and Dystopian are her preferred reads.
Leila is 34 weeks pregnant and still being pulled in two different directions by Brody, the father of her unborn child; and Jaxon, her fiancé who seems to be hiding something dark and slowly drifting away.
Leila receives a phone call from her friend Barb telling her that Jaxon has been shot. Rushing to the hospital she comes to the realization that while she loves Brody, she can't live without Jaxon and they need to make this work.
With Jaxon recovering, he confides in her what's been going on and she promises to be with him every step of the way. That's not to say she's not in extreme danger by being with him. All this danger comes to a head in a really exciting scene. I gobbled this book up until about 80% because by then all of the questions had been answered and all of the issues resolved.
I'm usually not one for love triangles but for some reason this one really drew me in! I'm also not usually one for things to be drawn out too much, but for some reason I wanted it to be more drawn out so I had more to look forward to.
Overall I really enjoyed this series and I have a feeling that we haven't seen the last of some characters!
Ok so I really loved this book and this series and I will say that I am a little sad for Brody, but I am looking forward to his book and to see who mamages to claim his heart. I was shocked at Jaxson's secret, but glad that they could work it out. I will say this that it was nice to see that Brody and Jaxson culd get along and find a way to make it work so they all could be the best parents they could for that little girl. This author is amazing and I would read anything she puts out.
Omg AF Crowell what have you done to me. You had me really scared I at the beginning of this book. While reading it I was on high alert. It really does pull at the heart stings. #TeamJaxon always. Feeling kinda sad for Brody. I can't wait to see his story to come.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Not going to lie I was a little bit disappointed that lei didn't pick who I was rooting for. Didn't even realize that until the beginning of this book that I was rooting for him.
WOW this series blew me away I loved all 3 books although lei did annoy me in pulled lol but I got over it I can't wait for Brody's book and Drew oh and Barb hehe hope they all get a book
Gifted a copy for an honest review. Were you Pushed? Were you Pulled? Were you ready to be Torn. AF Crowell put so much into this book you could feel the emotions consuming you. I enjoyed the laughter and the tears because I could tell there was straight up love for these characters. The blood, sweat and tears that AF Crowell must have felt while writing must have been healing. Jaxon and Brody were two men that you could wrap your arms around and feel every bit of love they have for Leila. Speaking of Leila, her character, had so much sass and I loved it. Who did Leila choose? No spoilers from me. However, I will say this the heat between her and the one she chose was optimal for a volcano eruption. There was suspense, love, heart warming and heart breaking moments. I even found myself saying "NO" at a certain point. There were secrets that needed to be revealed and AF Crowell did that very well in this book. This book was full and well written. There was nothing left out and questions were answered. I have a feeling people will have a hard time choosing #TeamJaxon or #TeamBrody. Hell they may have to choose between #TeamLeila and #TeamBarb. Let's talk about Barb for a moment. She is the best friend with a sassy a$$ mouth and someone you will have your back (Love Her). I know that I highly recommend this series. I also know that AF Crowell may have Pushed me then Pulled me and made me feel Torn but most of all she gave me a series to fall in love with and put on my re-read shelf. AF Crowell is an author that will give her all in her work. She is worthy of being a one-click author. She managed to touch my heart and my mind with her words and I look forward to each word that she writes. Amazing work! Well Done Very Well Done!!!!!
I've been waiting what seemed like forever to read this and let me tell you it was worth the freaking wait! You all want to know what I thought right.. here it is in these words- totally amazeballs!! You'll probably have a heart attack while reading this book so I'm just warning you now, and have some tissues handy. My oh my so many emotions reading this book. There’s a little bit of everything in it- suspense, drama, love..etc. AF Crowell's writing is phenomenal. I love how you can be at 7% and then bam you’re finished the book and wanting more. The series flows together, like it was meant to be. Awesome Job Af Crowell--keep up the great work! The three main characters are Leila,Jaxon, and Brody. I just love reading about them. Which guy do you like, are you #teamjaxon or #teambrody?
Parts of the story I liked:
I liked the scene with Leila in the ICU.
The baby girl name is pretty *You're gonna have to one-click to find out what they named her*
"And stop staring at my ass. I can feel you eye fucking me from here." *When I read that I literally busted out laughing*
"Oh.My.God.." Barb shrieked as she spun and bolted from the dining room. I'll never, ever, be able to unsee that. Jesus, who has sex on their dining room table?" Fuckin' Christ Bar, don't you ever knock?"
“Barf. You two are givin’ me diabetes over here. Take that sweet, sappy shit to the bedroom.”
I was so excited to read book 3 and find out the final conclusion to Brody, Jaxon, and Leila. I have always been team Brody and team Jaxon. I love both of them so much and I can’t choose.
Jaxon, Brody, and Lelia’s story hasn’t been an easy one. There were times when all 3 of them made me so mad that I wanted to crawl through my kindle and shake them. This book is packed full of action, lots of secrets are revealed, and of course a beautiful love story. Brody is still super sweet in this book and I just love him. I know he messed up a few times but he still has my heart. Jaxon is also adorable and has my heart. In this book, we find out some things that Jaxon has been hiding and I was so surprised and never saw it coming.
There are a lot of things that happen in this book and all the questions I had before are answered. There are also a few times I cried and I mean ugly cried with huge tears rolling down my face. I don’t want to give away spoilers but I love the way the book ended. I love the little surprise at the end and I can’t wait to see what’s next. Don’t miss out this book is beautiful in every way.
One of the best books I've read in a long time. I had to start with that! I've enjoyed this whole series but I love how far AF Crowell has come, her writing blew me away in this book! I am still in shock of how the story plays out, it is NOT what you think! I almost threw my kindle, almost. Ms. Crowell grabbed me and pulled me into this story, I could not put it down, I was up until 4am just to finish. We get a better insight to Brody and why does what he does, it kind of made me rethink some of the bashing I did in my head. Jaxon really needs to prove himself to me in this story. I've been rooting for him from the beginning but sometimes things can't be undone, that doesn't mean I don't still love him! Leila really has a hard decision and I really felt for her. This book has some suspense in it, and I do mean suspense, I never could have imagined I'd be holding my breath and PRAYING for someone to live so bad while finding out if Leila chose Brody or Jaxon. I loved every word of this book. I can't wait to see what AF Crowell writes next, I just know it's going to be amazing!
I hate Leila (no like legit hate her). While I kind of like Jaxon, he's still a selfish prick. My heart hurts for Brody.
Was the wrong guy chosen? In my opinion...Yes. Was Leila the biggest hypocrite and instigator? Yes. Was she worth the constant fighting between our two gentlemen suitors? Nope (and I'm popping the "p" on this one).
How Leila could allow herself and Brody's unborn child to constantly be put in danger because of the choice she made is beyond me. How Brody did not completely lose his shit is commendable. How Jaxon could be so selfish and use Leila as bait to complete his mission warranted a punch to the throat.
While I would love to read about Brody getting his HEA, I can't deal with Leila and Jaxon anymore and I'm sure they'll be a big part of it.
Received an ARC from the author for a honest review.

As with everyone else who has read Pushed and Pulled I couldn't wait for Torn. I was so excited to read it I stopped reading my other book.
It takes place right where Pulled left off with Leila and Brody living together and Jax gone. AF Crowell does a fantastic job keeping the suspense building with a lot of twist and turns in the action mixed in with hot romance. You have the triple POVs which I love, it really helps you feel invested in all three characters. You find out early on who Lei chooses and once that happens the story shifts and moves forward which is good.
My 1 critique would be in some places the dialog fell a little flat for me, which brings my rating from a 5 to a 4. That being said, all in all I loved the conclusion to this trilogy and can't wait for the next book AF Crowell writes.
My Review of Torn by A.F. Crowell My Rating 5 Stars Spoiler Free Review This has been one of those series I anxiously awaited to read the final in the Trilogy. Torn is exactly what this book does to you as your reading it. The suspense continues right from the beginning of the book. The story is written well and kept me turning pages, I was literally torn reading the story and I kept waiting for one scenario to happen which never did, and Lei picked her man early on in the story and as I found I was happy for them but also crushed for the man losing the only woman he ever loved. But one thing to remember while reading this masterpiece is whatever happens it will be worth it! Can’t wait to find out who get the Alpha Man Candy now! Bring it on A.F. I’m ready for your next stellar read! *I was priviledged to receive an ARC in exchange for an honest review* **Reviewer for Hellmouth’s Bookblog & Reviews**
Wow, A.F. Crowell now I understand why the title of this book is Torn. That is what poor Leila is feeling throughout this book. Divided by loving the man that mended her broken heart, but being overwhelmed by all his secrets; and not hurting the man that broke her heart but is doing everything in his power to make it up to her. Although I knew that she would always pick HIM in the end, it did sting when she finally made her choice. In the back of my mind, when our beloved A.F. Crowell revealed that Jaxon had a secret, I had guessed right. Ah ha, he couldn't be all that bad. There is so many twist and turns that I felt just as overwhelmed as Leila, my head spinning with different options. I couldn't put the book down and finished in one day. I can't wait to see what is in store for my man Brody. He needs his chance to redeem himself and find love.
I don't even know where to begin. I was so undecided with who I thought Leila should choose. I wanted it to both of them. I cried so much for Brody, my heart just broke for him. And now I'm completely anticipating his story. I want to cheer for him.
Jaxson was such an alpha male, who I totally grew to love so much. I had serious doubts while reading his initial introduction into this series. He had such a devotion to the baby, that wasn't his. He loved her that much. Seriously such a great book.
Books/stories that take me into the moment are my favorite. They are stories I think about for years and years to come.
Please please hurry with Brody's story. And make Leila get so jealous...she deserves to be jealous.
Finally the book I have been waiting impatiently for since finishing Pulled is here! This story is the conclusion of Jaxon, Lelia, and Brody's story. OMG I can't believe what had transpired throughout the story. We learn the secret that Jax has been keeping and it is so what I wasn't expecting. There were a lot of twists and turns and surprises that you weren't expecting throughout the story, which is what I come to expect in AF Crowell's stories. This story was a perfect ending to a wonderful series. I am sad to see this end but I am looking forward to see what comes next.
Another amazing story, well done!!! Highly recommend this series to everyone!!!!
Hell Yes... This book is Fantastic.. Torn is exactly what I am. I was so happy and yet sad at the same time. While Leila ends up with the man I wanted. I couldn't help but fall in love with the other one just as much. My heart cried for him. There was times I just want them all to move in together and become one big happy family, however I knew that was not going to happen. Things worked out as they should be. AF Crowell is an excellent author I can not wait for the next book in the TORN Series.
Torn is the amazing third book in the Torn Series. This book has it all, who is really the good guy, who is the love of Leila's life. Who will she chose? Has Brody blown his chance with Leila, Is Jaxon a good guy or an typical MC bad guy? How was he hurt? Is Leila safe? So many questions, I know the answers & you will too when you read this amazing book. I highly recommend it. I was the lucky winner of an ARC copy and promised an honest review. Five stars should say it all. Truly worth reading. Its on my read again, and again list.
One man is the father of her baby and the other is the one she is going to marry. They couldn't be more different, but she is only in love with one of them. If dealing with the challenges of these two men isn't enough, she has another that is trying to damage her to get back at Jax. All this while she only has a few weeks left before her baby is due to come into the world. Lei definitely has her hands full with Brody and Jax. I really loved her story.
Omg!! is all I can say I wish I could give Torn 10 ********** star review because in my honest opinion this book and pushed and pulled each if them deserve it. Once again AF Cromwell wowed me she is a talented Author and I really love he style of writing and like always she hooks and reals you if right from the start and keeps you interested from the beginning!! way to go AF Crowell!!!
This is a wonderfully written story that will send you on an emotional coaster ride! You will feel fear, joy, sadness, anger, happiness and heat while you continue this amazing journey with Leila, Brody and Jaxon. Definitely worth the read!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Right from the start again af pulled me in. Torn really had me torn. I was all for one man but in the middle I was switching sides. I was on the edge of my sit during some parts. And tears in others. Completely shocked by the end. Yet surprised I was very happy. Can't wait to see what else af has in store. Amazing book in this series and a must read.
What an incredible ending to this fantastic series. I have wanted to hug Brody throughout the entire book. I'm highly anticipating Brodys story. All I ask is please make it only one novel. :)
This is a complex love story that is set into three books. I read this series after meeting the author and just had to read what she wrote. The series is set in my hometown of Charleston, SC and I was super excited for this. I like the thought of being able to see the places the author is writing about, this allowed me to totally immerse myself in the story.
This final book involves all three characters. Lelia, Brody and Jaxon, as well as all the other amazing supporting characters.
Lelia finds herself in love with Jaxon and pregnant with Brody’s baby. Together they are going to try to make this situation work. Lelia finds herself alone a lot, due to Jaxon’s continued secrets and lies. She finds herself with a high risk pregnancy, and having to stay with Brody. She realizes that her feelings for Brody are not gone. But how can she be in love with two men?
Brody is willing to take every moment he can get with Lelia. Even though he can she that she is hurting and struggling with her feelings? He see’s this as the only chance that he can get to try again with her and their child? He doesn't care about what Jaxon wants only what he needs, Lelia!
Jaxon has the love of Lelia and this all gets thrown away in a heartbeat. He allows his jealousy over Brody to cloud their relationship. He doesn’t want to be in the same room with him, and this allows Lelia time with Brody. When Jaxon has to taken care of MC business at a crucial time, she is forced to rely on Brody. Can he man up?
When she lost everything, he took the place of another and now his secrets risk tearing everything out of his hands
Torn between two powerful men who adore her, ER nurse Leila Matthews has found the love of her life...but the road to happily-ever-after is paved with betrayal, secrets, and dead bodies. FOREVER
For ER nurse Leila Matthews, life has never been easy. Her father turned his back on their family and her mother died young. Her cop brother’s near fatal gunshot wound brought Brody Davis into her life, the handsome CEO who promised her the world but left her pregnant with his child. Enter Jaxon Henderson, the sexy-as-sin VP of the local MC. Friend first, he has become the great love of her life. Tall, handsome, golden, his passion is matched only by his possessive and protective nature. But Jaxon has dark secrets, and his deception tests Leila’s love to its core. Jaxon Henderson knows three things: He loves Leila Matthews more than anything, he's lied to her, and he’s sworn to secrecy about the danger and violence that gathers on the horizon. To keep Leila safe, he must tell her all, but full disclosure has a price, and that price may just be everything (Amazon Blurb)
We’ve followed Leila as she struggled to come to terms with choosing the man who would become the love of her life and the one to hold her heart, ultimately becoming a family as she was pregnant with Brody’s child. When he left her, Jaxon became everything she needed him to be: friend, lover, protector and now a mystery. Where the first two novels of the Torn series took us through Leila’s experience with her men and dominance, and then having to decide if she can raise her child alone as Brody walks away, Torn follows Jaxon, the man who has always been by Leila’s side through thick and thin and can’t stand to see her in pain. What an amazing twist into the darker side of these characters! I loved it! Frankly I could spend the rest of the day gushing about AF Crowell’s superb penmanship and capacity of continuing a series that I was certain would end with Pulled, and adding more plots twists, drama, action and mystery that really I regretted every single moment that I had to close the book to do something that required my help. This is a novel that needs to be read, but also one, that should be added with the first two parts, that being Pushed and Pulled, seeing as how they are all related to one another. . **Received a copy in exchange for an honest review. Whew! What a suspenseful conclusion to a turbulent and passionate story between two heroes who love and fight for the same heroine. AF Crowell draws us into a fictional world that centers around Leila Matthews and two equally gorgeous men who come crashing into her life and turn her world upside down. After experiencing Leila's love affair with both Brody and Jax, her pregnancy, and Jax being shot, I was ready to see what else would happen between these three explosive individuals whose lives are forever intertwined. Torn has twists and turns that a reader has come to expect and have grown to love from AF Crowell.
Leila Matthews has experienced grief, and searing passion and betrayal from both of these two men. After a tragedy befalls Jax, it is time for her to make a decision about who she will have happy ever after with, but just when she thinks she knows everything new secrets are revealed. Can she ever find happiness with either one of these men or will she forever destined to be hurt? Leila shows a strength and a passion for the life that most people would envy. She not only shows unwavering love for both Brody and Jax but also for becoming a mother that will sacrifice anything for the happiness of her child.
Brody Davis is his normal suave and sexy self and shows what a wonderful father he will be. He will always own a piece of my heart and seeing how supportive he is of Leila in this stage in her pregnancy made me all warm and gooey.
A new version of Jaxon is revealed and when truths come to light, I think I fell even harder for this motor cycle riding hottie with a heart that belongs completely to Leila and the baby.
A F Crowell delivers a thrilling masterpiece in Torn that plays with your emotions and imprints on your heart. There was secrecy, danger, heat, and even humor. When the mood of the story would become nail bitingly intense, then there would be a funny testosterone filled scene between both of the possessive alpha males to make the reader laugh. I have a feeling that we have not seen the last of these fascinating characters and will eventually see both heroes get their happy ever after. I highly recommend for a pulse racing addictive series that keeps your heart torn between two devastatingly handsome heroes and the beautiful woman that has captured their hearts.
Finally, Leila makes her decision & sticks to it. Not gonna lie, hated her character in books 1&2 but she has definitely redeemed herself in this book.
Recovery, distance & revelation in this book, not everyone is who they say they are.
If, like me, you struggled with Pulled & Pushed I would definitely recommend keeping going. This installment will change your opinion of a few of the characters.
I re-read this book for my bnb 2016 reading challenge.
There’s a little bit of everything in it - suspense, drama, love etc. AF Crowell's writing is phenomenal. I love how you can be at 7% and then bam you've finished the book and wanting more. The series flows together, like it was meant to be. Awesome Job Af Crowell--keep up the great work!
The three main characters are Leila, Jaxon, and Brody. I just love reading about them. Which guy do you like, are you #teamjaxon or #teambrody?
Parts of the story I liked:
I liked the scene with Leila in the ICU. The baby girl name is pretty *You're gonna have to one-click to find out what they named her*
"And stop staring at my as*. I can feel you eye f****** me from here." *When I read that I literally busted out laughing*
"Oh.My.God.." Barb shrieked as she spun and bolted from the dining room. I'll never, ever, be able to unsee that. Jesus, who has sex on their dining room table?" Fuc***' Christ Bar, don't you ever knock?"
“Barf. You two are givin’ me diabetes over here. Take that sweet, sappy sh** to the bedroom.”
If you are never heard of AF Crowell please go and one click the first book in the series it's called Pushed!
Man, what can I even say about this book! I FLOVED it! At the end of book 2, Pulled, I was totally torn about who I wanted Leila to end up with, and as I was reading Torn and those answers started unfolding I realized I was never actually off the Jaxson train. And I was totally ok with her continuing her engagement to him. Although Brody has definitely redeemed him self in my eyes, I still feel like his and Leila's connection wasn't as intense or strong as her's and Jaxson's connection. Although Jaxson and Brody are still not BFFs, you definitely get to see them to rise above there caveman ways and work together for Leila and the baby. They still have their moments, but I didn't find my self hating wanting to shake them two bad!
This book seriously had a lot of surprises, and everything started to completely make sense! Towards the end I kept thinking please don't let this be the end! Please let there be books about Brody, Barb, and Drew! Well what do you know...at the end it says Brody's book is coming! Yay! I seriously can't wait! And you...you seriously need to one-click this book!!
I will start off by saying this didn't end the way I had hoped but it was still an amazing story! Such an emotional roller coaster. The characters have really grown throughout the series and you see that in Torn. Brody wants nothing more than to have Leila and their unborn child back with him. He goes above and beyond to try and make up for his mistakes. He's always there for Leila whenever and for whatever she needs. He also steps on Jaxon's toes doing so. Leila just wants to keep the peace between the father of her child and her fiancee. With some traumatic events that happen, she needs them to be there for her and not fight. She wonders if they will ever get along. But when she goes into labor, they both pleasantly surprise her. Jaxon can't stand Brody always being around. It's caused more than enough trouble for him and Leila. He knows Brody still loves her so he makes sure it's known that Leila is his. Can tragic events change their relationships? I'm super excited to read the next in the series! I recommend all of AF's books!
