Glory Aleman is bound...
...bound to her duties, and bound by ancient law. She’s pledged to a shifter of another family to keep old bloodlines alive.

Mae's (from The Worlds of Shifters Forever) nephew, Dane Forester has been anything but bound...
...he’s a freewheeling, sexy, successful, movie star who uses every role and every woman to escape and forget the heartbreak he left in Woodland Creek.

Great, right?

Sure, right up until a will-reading brings him back to Woodland Creek, and back to that which he never really escaped.

Again, no problem, right?

Oh-so-very wrong.

Glory’s bound to another man, slated to become his in less than a month.

This was the role Dane Forester was meant for - He better not choke.

Unbound is a novel in the Woodland Creek series. Glory has been betrothed to another Ivy shifter since she was a toddler but that didn’t stop her from falling in love with Dane when she was a teenager. While Dane’s family was hunted by rovers shifters who kill other shifters it was Glory’s parents and sister who ended up in the line of fire. When Dane leaves all the sudden the loss of her parents as another tragedy Glory withdraws into a hibernation with her Ivy. Dane left Woodland Creek behind after Glory was killed becoming an actor but when his uncle dies he returns home to find things aren’t always as they seem.

Finding out the real reason the one you left abandoned you and that the love you lost isn’t really dead comes as a shock to both of them. While it’s been years since they saw each other the passion they shared hasn’t died if anything being together it’s gotten stronger and neither one is willing to let the other get away again. However Dane’s uncle’s murder are closing in and Glory ends up in the crosshairs. Will Dane save her in time? How will Glory feel when she learns even more truth that she expected?

I love Glory she’s a very unique shifter considering she’s a plant. I totally would have done what she did withdrawing into my Ivy having dealt with the tragic loss she did. I admit I wasn’t sure about Dane when it first starts off he’s kind of known in Hollywood as a player. Yet he does have some redeeming qualities like his love of Glory. The chemistry between these two is very steamy and hot!!!!

I’ve been working my way through the Woodland Creek series which has become one of my new favorites. It’s multiple authors creating unique stories set in the same town with a variety of supernatural creatures and some similar ideas. This one contains an Ivy shifter which I found very unique and interesting to see how her shift worked out. I like the idea of a snow leopard it’s not something I’ve seen before. I really enjoyed reading Unbound’s unique story set in Woodland creek a perfect mix of story and steamy moments. This isn’t my first book by the author so I had a bit of an expectation and it doesn’t disappoint. I very much enjoyed Glory and Dane’s story it’s a perfect example of a romance at Woodland Creek.

I’ve read all of the stories of Elle Thorne’s Shifter series and their spinoffs. This story is based in Woodland Creek. Unlike her other stories, Woodland Creek is part of a collaboration of stories of other authors, too but not like an anthology. If you read or have read the Mating Season stories you’ll understand what I mean. The lead characters in this story are Dane, a snow leopard shifter and Glory—an ivy shifter. I must admit, that of all of the shifter books and stories I’ve read, this is the first story with plant shifters in it. When I first read that, I was wondering what kind of animal Glory would be because I wasn’t expecting a plant. This is the first story from the Woodland Creek series that I’ve read but I loved it. You spend most of the story feeling sorry for Dane and Glory and what they have been through—not to mention the circumstances that lead to why they were separate and so internally miserable. In the end, all works out, but I’m curious to know more about the Ivy Shifter Creed and what other kinds of non-animal shifters could join her stories or this series.

This one was a bit different for me. I liked it, but had some issues with it. Shifters are one of my favorite paranormal romantic things. I love to read of humans that turn into big cats and wolves, dragons and bears, etc...and yes, I also love vampires if done well. However, plants? I really couldn't wrap my head around a human that turned into ivy that was in love with a big cat. That aside, I read it as any other book and ignored that aspect, since it wasn't like she changed into a plant a lot in the story (we didn't read much about her hibernation). I enjoyed most of the story. I was pleased overall with the outcome and how things that were mistakes and situations not handled well were resolved.

I could not for the life of me finish this book. I love shifter series but this was..... I don't even know. Maybe I would have loved it if I was in high school and just learning about shifters. But, it just left me asking so many questions. It takes a LOT for me not to finish a book and/or give it one star. But the writing, the plot, the antagonist, the smut....everything was so badly done.

Omg! I read this such a long time ago, but didn't realize until now after I started reading it again :o Then I noticed that somehow I missed leaving a review back then :( All I can say is that every book I've ever read by this author is fantastic, so if you love fiction, especially PNR, this is a must read :D

This kind of shifter I hadn't read about before, but I like it that she can stand up for herself.

In the past their has been mis communication between them or actually because they didn't contact each other after something they heard split them up.
But now they meet again.

Great read, with action and hot moments between them.

3.5 stars - It is so sad when others interfere in people’s lives and cause untold pain.
Just a bit too short to do this couple justice. A real pity as my heart broke for these two people. Needed more explanation/talking between Glory and Dane.
Poor Glory, she lost her man, her unborn baby and her family all in a short period of time, then hibernated as her Ivy for nearly 8 years.
Dane ran away and became a famous movie star when he was told Glory was promised to someone else without talking to her first. He then believed Glory was dead until he came back for the reading of his Uncles will and in walked Glory.
I think Glory just rolled over for him too easily and had sex with him within minutes of seeing him again. She had followed his life in the tabloids and knew he was a man whore. I know Dane thought she was dead but where is the safe sex/self-preservation for Glory.
Dane I strangely gave a lot more slack to as he thought Glory was dead, so had no reason to not live the Hollywood lifestyle. Once he had Glory back he stood up for her and them. Loved him.
I really liked this but I think a bit more discussion would have made it easier to accept them getting back together so quickly.

Sexy Ivy Shifter and Her Hot Snow Leopard

I must say I love any story that has Mae Foerster in it. There's just something about her strength and commitment to the shifters she loves that makes the heart warm. Dane is a snow leopard and Mea helped raise after his parents died. Glory is ivy shifter that lives next door to Dane growing up. Even though they are forbidden to be together Dane and Glory fall in love with each other as teens. In Unbound, we see just how much life can get in the way of itself. Dane and Glory's story is heartwarming, tragic, sad, terrifying, full of heart ache but most of all full of love. Elle has done a wonderful job sharing their story. She has also setup a wonderful new world in Woodland Creek. I can't wait to see what happens next. What about Glory's sister? The Royal's? What happened to Sara? I can't wait to read the rest of the series to find the answers.

I like Elle Thorne, and this was a nice surprise to see how she crafted this story in the Woodland Creek series to have a small tie in to one of her other series. I love when books tie in like that, especially when I enjoyed them so much. Gives me that happy feeling of going back home, and revisiting old friends. Plus I like how she threw in plant shifters. That is something I never would have thought of. I enjoyed this one.

Great story

Pulse pounding romance with plenty of sadness, joy, love, and triumph. Dane is back in Woodland Creek after being gone for many years, he left when he found out that his love was betrothed to another. Glory was stunned when Dane abandoned her, not knowing why he left. Can she ever forgive him and will he understand why she never told him if he betrothal?
