I got to beta read Vixen for Shakuita. I have to say when I picked up the book I wasn't sure what I was expecting. I knew it was a novella, and I knew it was about a prostitute's favorite encounter. I have to say I enjoyed the book and it's story. For those of you expecting a full story I would NOT pick this book up. It's more of a single sexy encounter with a little bit of back story. There is not a overall plot for people to lose themselves in just a single erotic encounter. Vixen's encounter I wish was a little more drawn out, it seems kind of rushed at times, a few paragraphs for something that I could see being more drawn out. Vixen was still incredibly sexy I would recommend it for anyone into Erotica.

Vixen will blow your mind. She gives her account from one of her most memorable nights/customers as a prostitute and the things she tells you will make you go WOW!!
This is a quick read that is HOT!!! Vixen gives an interview about being a prostitute that will open your eyes to what they have to go through and why they do what they do. You will look at these ladies in a different way once you read this whole series.
Shakuita does a great job with telling these ladies experiences and keeps your attention though the whole read. I read this one in one sitting!!

Vixen is a story told by a prostitute. She is giving an interview to a blogger, who wish to show the world that prostitutes are not bad people.
She is telling her how she became a prostitute. But the main point of her story is her steamiest encounter with one of her customers. And it is so HOT!
It's a well written short story, giving you an insight of how Vixen thinks, what she feels.
I can't wait for Shakuita's next stories in this series!
The only thing that I didn't like was Clarissa's (the interviewer) lack of emotions, but I hope it will change with every next story!

WOW!!!
This short story was not what I was expecting!!! I was pleasantly surprised with not only the HEAT...but also the heart and the s as that Shakuita Johnson packed into these 30+ pages. This book also left me crazily anticipating the next installment - Diamond.
This is what Ms. Johnson should be writing!!! This book is truly a treat. It is also a quick read and will leave you needing more. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series!!!

Quick but dirty haha
Okay as far as quick sexy reads go, this is a good one. It's only about 30 pages, but it gets the job done :) I don't know much about prostitutes.. But there was one part that bothered me. A wealthy business man picks a chick up off the street, and continues to use NO protection at all?! For anything, then does knife play where there's blood involved lol.. Idk seemed weird to me, that would be the only thing I'd change.. However I think of the point of this story is to get into the head of a prostitute and have a hot read, A+ haha give it a try :)

very good story, even if some of it was sad, but its showing the 'real' of the women's lives that journalist Clarissa is doing a story on. No matter what Vixen wanted out of life, it was taken out of her hands by the harsh childhood she had. She finally takes back control of her life, but her only way out forced her into prostitution. Read her story and one of her very steamy encounters with one of her clients.

I was given an ARC of Vixen in exchange for an honest review.
I am definitely intrigued. I know it's a short story but I feel like it can be developed a little more. Maybe a little more background story on Clarissa the little bit I read on her definitely intrigued me.
I want to know more of Vixen, and a little more on this night with Brandon. For $20K there had to have been more

Ok so I was gifted this series. I love the authors paranormal series and knew I would probably like this one just because she is a great author. This is the first shirt in the series and WOW! I was not expecting this level of hotness. The underlying story of the why?, and how?, the women ended up where they are was the real intrigue of the book.

This is a quick and interesting read told from the prostitutes POV. I really like how her story was affecting the interviewer and she kept needing to take a break, it had me laughing. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the rest in this series.

This is a perfect quick steamy read!!! While its from the prostitute's POV and gives you a different insight it is a very well written short and perfect for those time where you just want something quick and steamy to read!

Vixen, tells her story of how she became a prostitute and as would be expected it is not a happy story. Having said that she has embraced who she is and what she does.
This is an erotic tale but with a human story behind it and for a short story it certainly packs a punch.
A story not for the feint-hearted but i enjoyed reading it and have already marked the next book to read!
