After liking the first 2 episodes (because you cannot call them books) I was unpleasantly surprised by this third.

Bit of a train wreck. Jamie and Alex struggle with their relationship (is it a relationship?) and I did not actually like Alex at all. He is working day and night (you can learn to delegate) and Jamie is whining all the time (does he want to be with me, doesn't he want to be with me?), her family drama is very contrived and .. yes, there it is, the age old 'former girlfriend is pregnant'- trope. Alex is supposed to be a billionaire, a smart person. Not so much in this series.

I don't understand why the author couldn't just write one, whole, wellrounded novel. Instead she writes several parts (no editor?) and then you get this: a story all over the place.

And a size 6-8 is not fat, ladies. Stop it already.

Okay, so I made it to book 3 and I think I deserve bottles of wine at this point. Yes, bottles because Alex annoyed the ever living shit out of me. Hot damn, this guy was so indecisive throughout this book. It was beyond frustrating and I wanted to rip all of my hair out.

That being said Jamie wasn't that much better. Yeah, she's a bit more stubborn and confident but she like rolls over for Alex whenever she sees him. I get it, I truly do, if they love each other blah blah things will turn out great. YET, he was so damn hesitant when a random ass baby momma came into the picture.

He didn't even think to question it. Or get a test done. It just baffled my mind so much because who could honestly be that dumb when it comes to this situation? I mean, he has clearly been sleeping with Jamie since forever.. but now he's all like.. oh shit, this could be mine? Oh now I want to be a dad to some fake ass kid?

Slow your roll buddy, she's lying. Open your damn eyes.

So yeah, this book had unnecessary drama that I wasn't a huge fan of.

In this book there was so much problems between them, the biggest issue I could see was their insecurities getting the better of them and becoming very paranoid in the relationship.
It created many problems and that got a bit exhausting but not so bad that I couldn’t read the book all the way through.
I still have hope that the other book’s will be better moving forward.

Like a locomotive, this series starts slowly but soon builds up to a reckless speed. This is the third and final book in the Managing the Boss series. Jamie Connors isn’t the perfect woman. She has her fair share of self-doubt but is strong enough to work through them. The tenuous relationship established between Jamie and her billionaire boss Alex Reid has evolved. From their original employee/employer arrangement, it has blossomed into an on again / off again relationship. Alex has trust and commitment issues, stemming from his childhood. Jamie’s determination to rid Alex of his demons is unrelenting. Both Alex and Jamie have been through a hard childhood, where their family’s demands and expectations were never met and criticisms a way of life. These similarities make them perfect for each other. Is it enough? Will Alex commit?
Whereas the first book was relatively erotic-free, this last book pulls out all the stops and coitus is featured in almost every chapter. Jamie is ready and willing to submit to Alex whenever and wherever he wants but Alex is torn from all sides. In order to get the full story, I would strongly recommend that these books be read in order. This is a modern romance that will grab and hold you to the end. It is steamy and sexy enough to fulfill the most demanding readers. I would not hesitate to read other works from this author.

Continuation issues

I think the author must have walked away for a long while before writing this follow up.
Mark is the older brother not the younger, book two at her sisters wedding they both said they loved each other.

It was ok but the details need to be addressed. Good dialogue and characters, although, Alex is turning into a neurotic wet tissue. The up and down of their relationship is enough to give you whiplash.
I'm waiting for something to happen, it does, it's a promising kink in the story and then the story irons it out so it falls flat. The first two books are far better. This was disappointing.

I have grown to love these characters. In the span of a day, I've read the three books to be caught up to date...kids are sick and mushes on the couch, so mama's forced to lay down next to them and mush right along with them. The sacrifices a mom makes ;)

Anyway, I will say this is my least favorite of the series. That doesn't mean I didn't like it. Timms has a great way of writing snark, sexy, alpha, and captivating dialogue to keep you invested. This book just follows the natural path of many "series" where its frought (is that a word?) with tension and conflict. This is one of those books where misunderstandings and angst abounds and the two can't get on the same page for most of story. Again, it's still well-written, but it's just the natural progression of the series to come to a point where the relationship will be tested.

I do have to say, the only flaw I find in this series are the covers. Don't get me wrong. Beautiful models. But we are led to believe that protagonist is slightly overweight. Even when she loses the weight, she's still more than zero. LOL!

I was highly disappointed by the authors decision to casually throw out rape jokes.
Direct quote: "I was going to rape you today, either way" [...] "Why is that likely the hottest thing I've ever heard?" "Because you're a bad boy."
I cannot fathom why the author has a hard time understanding, especially in today's world full of heartbreaking stories, that rape is not sexy, not playful, not anything except a crime.

Personally, given that this is an e-book, I believe it should be edited to remove the word. There are so many words or phrases that could be used that don't make light of a subject that is so life-altering and painful.

I really have enjoyed this series. There is one thing in this book that I didn't like, at all and it was this paragraph. They're getting passionate and about to have sex but the line is crossed so far with this paragraph, I don't even think the author could see it.

"Yes. I was going to rape you today, either way." She slid her fingers into his hair as he moved to his knees and reached around her, massaging her ass.
He glanced up and smiled. "Oh, you were? Why is that likely the hottest thing I've ever heard?"
That, to me, is not hot. It's not something you use to joke about with. It has real consequences, for real people and I don't think that they would like to have that word joked about. Could have totally used different phrasing for the same effect. But, hey! That's me. Some people may not have a problem with it.

I wish I could continue it but it's not in Kindle Unlimited unfortunately.

Jamie forgives Alex way too easily and allows him many more chances than he should ever get. She needs to get some confidence and make Alex actually show that he wants to be with her instead of allowing him back into her life constantly.

At the beginning of the book, Jamie gets upset with her family again but then later on she is willing to go over to drown her sorrows with them and a bottle of tequila. Its no wonder they don’t respect her.

Jamie needs to figure out what the heck she wants and quit being so wishy washy. Her needs and wants change daily depending on her mood. She also mentions being highly sexual but that doesn’t seem to be the case until she and Alex hook up.

If it wasn’t for a challenge I’m in, I would have quit reading these books.

I just found out that there are 10 books to this series (thought there were only three). I think this will be it for me, at least for now. The journey continues for Jamie & Alex, working well together and in a relationship, although this is kept quiet while in the confines of the office. Something is still holding Alex back, he doesn't want their relationship to be public knowledge. Jamie is frustrated but agrees and I've had it with both of them. Jamie, say what you want & stop being a doormat...Alex, simply man-up! For the most part I've enjoyed the series, parts were very frustrating. I need a break from this couple before I read more.

This was a typical “romance” book. Everything was predictable. There were no surprises or interesting twists. The main character was weak and had problems with her self worth. That was disappointing. Also, she got her “worth” from losing weight and looking good. It’s not a good theme for young ladies. Women are beautiful for what is inside, not the size that she wears. I read the first one, so I felt the need to finish the whole series. If the books didn’t come in a set of three, then I would not have read the other two.

I really enjoyed this book which is part of the Managing the Bosses!

I thought that the story was really well developed and I really did enjoy getting to know the different characters – they worked so well together and I loved their interaction.

This is the third book in the Managing the Bosses series and I enjoyed it just as much as the first two books - it was a great story, easy to read, I loved the detail and found it to be very enjoyable – it was a romantic and sexy read

It is 5 stars from me for this one – I really enjoyed it – very highly recommended!!

SHIT SHIT SHIT just horrible. First off Alex, he's not a nice guy. Whenever he's down or upset he degrades her and then he shows up with flowers and for SOME REASON she's apologies???? You must be insane to think he's a good guy. I say dump the BOSS and date the brother, he seems less possessive and emotionally abusive

Ok I'm really enjoying this series, Jamie and Alex' relationship is hitting hurdles and mountains but will they be strong enough to get past them and realise what's important?
Again the story and plot are good, I'm enjoying the characters and I see something more sinister on the horizon for our lovebirds. Lots of angst, lots of hot sexy times, and lots of lovely romantic moments.

These books are actually kind of short so it was nice to be able read to the box set of 1-3#. The story is pretty good so far and I am interested to see where it goes. I have found that I really like the black sheep of the family elements that have helped them to bond and drive them in a way that others don't always understand.

The third book is not so amazing as the previous ones. There were parts of the story where it would have been much better without so many details. But at least in the audiobook the narrators saved the experience making listening to the audiobook really pleasant. Hope the next book of the series is much better and following the success of the first two books.

I definitely think the boxset is worth it grabbing for the first 3. This is a decent boss/employee story. I have the entire series. I’m did enjoy how much the MFC is growing and isn’t putting up the her family the way she was. There was definitely some cliche storylines in this, but I still enjoyed it.

Jamie and Alex are still going strong but they each have periods of doubts. Alex still doesn't want to let their relationship to be known in the office. That makes her insecure. And when she gets friendly with another man (even his brother), That makes him unsure. But so far they manage to keep things together. Highly recommended.

Book 3, in this series. Things are bought to a head for. Oath Alex and Jamie as they sort out their family issues and allow their sizzling chemistry to finally connect them and take a chance at being together.

Jamie steps up to the mark, when Alex Reid drops the ball, figuratively speaking in the case of his company and their relationship.
Sometimes the woman has show whose the boss in a couple, especially when outside influence seems to be tearing them apart.

What a Rollercoaster. I have to say Alex get your shit together! So invested in this series. I love that Jamie's family slowly stop being arseholes to her. Jamie's starting to find her feet and independence and her voice. What awesome MC she is. Real for sure.
