My name is Jessica. I own a women's clothing store in New York City and need work done on my store to be able to advertise my company to females walking on the sidewalk. So I had to find a company. The best I could find for a reasonable price is owned by Eric. He's tattooed and fights me on everything. But he's the one who can do the job for what I can afford. My only problem? He ends up being the person I never expected thanks to my sister...

I'm Eric and my construction company just needs a job. Thankfully, low bidding gets Jessica to hire me. But just when I think things are looking up I come home to my girlfriend kicking me out. F*ck. So I do the only thing I know to do in this situation and that's find a f*ck buddy. It just so happens to be Jessica's employee. But when that falls through I set my eyes on control freak Jessica. She seems like the perfect person to be my new f*ck buddy.

Maybe I'm wrong...

* This sexy steamy bad boy romance is perfect for fans of Joanna Blake, Devon Hartford, Sabrina Paige, Winter Renshaw, Vanessa Waltz and Dani Wyatt *

I wasn't going to bother to review this, but I just had to...

I'm sorry, but this shit was so atrociously written, it's the kind of novel that convinces me that I could fucking write this shit myself.

The opening scene was full of so many "what the fucks," I couldn't even get over it. The writing was juvenile, the characters were insipid, and then the dialogue...that shit was laugh-tastic vomit.

Again, I apologize, I try to never just totally rain on an author's parade, but this level of shit-tastic just made my day. I haven't laughed this fucking hard all year.

Triggers: first person, present-tense POV at the tenth grade creative writing level.

Read this at your own discretion, but whatever you do, don't fork over any cash for it.

2.5 stars.

It took me a really long to get through this book. There were funny parts and the last 20 percent was really good. However Jessica was a really unlikable character for me. It's hard for me to enjoy a book when it's hard to find redeeming characteristics in a main character.

This book started with a lot of potential and a good storyline however, it was the characters that I just could not connect with. Eric was just too weak as the male lead and well Jessica inspired disgust.

Overall good book

I mostly enjoyed this book. Loved Eric. He is every woman's dream lol. But omg hated Jessica. Even towards the end I still didn't like her. She was such an crazy b****. I honestly think Eric must be a daint to put up with that lol. She did have some high moments but i just found her mostly unlikable. That said, the book still read fairly well.

i really, really, really liked this story...until the end. i felt like everything was so well flushed out and characters/story lines were built up in a very strong way. and then there was the ending. it felt so rushed. it was still very much worth the read, dont get me wrong. definitely a wonderful story. but i feel like some interesting plot points were ignored so that a pretty bow could be put on the ending...which i wanted...but i also wanted to see how the characters would deal with the surprise pregnancy after the big blow out...it could have made for a few more interesting chapters before the pretty bow epilogue. :)

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for a review. I really loved this book. I managed to read it in a day while working as well. I got so hooked on Jessica and Eric's story. I enjoyed how the author developed the relationship between these two. They both had their share of struggles in previous relationships and I never thought they were actually going to end up together. I thought they were doomed from the start. Hot read though when they did get together. That man's got skills!

I won't give anything away but the ending was a flip for me. I didn't expect it at all the way the story was going. I really enjoyed this book and will look for more by this author.

I had mixed feelings about this book. there were times that Jessica bugged me because of the control freak that she is. she just made things harder than they had to be. There were a few things that Eric did that also bugged me. I guess practicing safe sex wasn't that big of a deal. When Jessica finally decides to let Eric in, does she finally start to lighten up as a person. Eric was too busy trying to hide his one night stand with her employee but it comes back to bite him. The ending was better than what I thought it would be but I think it could have been better

I received this book for an honest review. I love Eric and Jessica. They don't have that insta relationship which I love. I don't care much for the over done instant lets be together even though we don't know each other. I only have one gripe I didn't enough of Eric's back story and I still wonder what the details were with Eric's idea for his business. Over all good book by a good author. I love her books and I recommend any of them to anyone who loves a good book.

When store owner Jessica needs her clothing store remodeled she gets bid after bid and it's not going well until Eric strolls in and he gets the job. It's not insant love, they argue about her changing her mind about remodeling. When her sister decides she needs to let loose she texts this guy and they start texting each other and Jessica doesn't realize how much that will change everything. It was a good story with like able characters.

I received an ARC for an honest review. The story took me awhile to really get into. The first half of the book set up the story, but there were times it -dragged. With that said, the second half of the story took off and I very much enjoyed it. I loved Eric and his loyalty to who he was. The sexual harassment training that Jessica gave to Cheryl was laugh out loud funny! Give this book a chance and in the end you will walk away glad you read the story!

These three

For the funny parts. The rest just left a lot to be desired. Character wise, I liked the H. However I couldn't stand the h. She was so bitchy through so much of the book that I never cared for her at all. I felt only surface attraction from both of them. Their romance is that unforgettable kind because there was no depth to their characters, even though there was some drama. Just not a hit read for me.

This story really builds the relationship between Eric and Jessica. They butt heads a lot as their relationship develops. It starts with Eric doing some renovations for Jessica's store. Their relationship evolves from employer/contractor to lovers. The author takes the time to develop the characters and the story. It's an interesting read and not slow at all.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This wasn't my least favorite by Claire Adams, but it wasn't my favorite, either. Again, I felt the characters lacked overall dimension. Frankly, Jessica was a control freak and a bitch, and Eric let her be that way. The cancer thing was again annoying, and the epilogue came right at a point where the story might have been interesting, where they tried to build a relationship. Disappointed, again.

This is not about the book, but about the formatting

Book is horribly formatted. I am unable to adjust and have tried on both my Kindle Fire and Kindle phone app. It is triple spaced and you are unable to adjust it. Please fix the formatting!! I would really like to enjoy this book.

I think you have got to be one of my most favorite authors ever. I buy your books the moment I'm notified of their release and read them up all in the same day. The Job has had me literally laughing out loud randomly which has naturally caused me to receive many "she is so weird" looks, but I don't even care. Love this book, love all of your books. Cannot wait for what comes next!

Good story, fun characters

It was fun to see Jessica and Eric argue over everything & enjoyed how they got to know each other. It's a good thing Eric had a sense of humor because Jessica really was OCD with her store. Loved the scenes with teaching Cheryl how to run the shop!

Just bought this book... hoping the formatting was corrected. no such luck. Other's weren't kidding it is triple spaced. I'll keep it in my current reads and wait to see if the formatting is corrected before I read it. Once it is and I am able to read it my rating will change.

I can't. The heroine is a terrible client, the hero needs to level up his project management skills. I was way too distracted about their working relationship and how absolutely horrible it is that I couldn't even focus on the plot.

Jessica is looking for someone to build an addition to her place. When Eric takes the job, Jessica keeps making changes. Eric gets mad but he's falling for her. When Jessica's friends gives her a man's number she doesn't know it's Eric. Can these two work out their problems? Great read.

This book was a fun read. I could not put the book down once I started reading. I would like to see a book two that would conclude Jessica and Eric's story.

Quick, easy read.

Nice change of pace. The heroine was the uptight control freak and the hero was laid back and easy going. I really enjoyed the humor of the book.

A pleasant read

Well overall the book was a good read but some of the main characters lacked finesse and seemed to take away from the story itself.
