If you like books that give you chills and make you look around at every sound while you are reading it, then this is the book for you!

Troy and his family had fallen on hard times because it was the depression era and they moved into this very old farmhouse that had nothing around it except fields and one big old tree in the middle of a field. Troy decides to check out this tree and gets more than he bargains for.

A good ghost/horror story will give the reader feelings of dread, goosebumps that run up and down your arms and make your heart jump into your throat all while reading it. This one did all of those for me and it made me wonder about the trees right outside my house. It's a good short story that brings the reader right to the edge of their seat wondering what will happen next.

I give it two stars because I can tell the author tried, but the book was just so predictable and kind of silly in my opinion. I was hoping for a good yet short ghost story. But in the last twenty or so pages of this book I was looking forward to the ending, and it felt like it would never come.

Gave me shivers

Very well written. Great short story to read during the Fall/ Halloween season. Reading it during the daytime hours gave me the shivers. I can only imagine what it would do reading it on a dark stormy night

Not sure if this is real or not

Love a good ghost story and regardless of the origin was pretty scary to say the least. Makes you wonder

A decent short story that, if it pulls you in, is definitely creepy.

Great read

An interesting book. It did need more details at the end. Would recommend for anyone who likes a short mystery.

Quick read

The book was really a short story. It was written along the lines of Edgar Allan Poe in some ways. I was disappointed with the fact that it was written with no facts laid out. It could be fiction for all we know. But it was a quick read and reminded me of a movie where a true crime writer moves his family into a house where the previous family died by hanging from the big oak in the back yard. I can't imagine it to be circumstantial.

Don't waste your time!

There was no story here. No plot just a waste of time and money. I read a lot and this was about the worse "book" I have every read. I would have given it a 0 rather than a 1 star if I had been given the option.

Short and intriguing!

This story was an entertaining short read, especially if you like supernatural mysteries. The on!my bad thing is that you want the story to keep going.

Stupid

Who calls this a book? Started out fine but no conclusion. I guess kids just die for eternity. A waste.

So stupid.

This book is honestly a waste of time. I didn't realize it was only a few pages when I bought it.
