Sterek Fanfic
Stiles Stilinski was never going to be the omega who got knocked up right after high school, and then he's accidentally artificially inseminated with a stranger's sperm.
Awesome.
And the father of Stiles's baby just so happens to be Derek Hale. Half-feral, quite possibly a murderer, and pursued by a gleefully sadistic band of hunters who are only too eager to use Stiles and his baby to hit Derek right where it hurts.
Joy.

Oh, hey, I've read this one! It was pretty good as far as I remember.

It's takes the accidental pregnancy part of Jane the Virgin and combines it with Sterek and a world where werewolves are known.

I loved this unique AU. The world is very different, and Mpreg is normal. There's quite a bit of suspense. Oh, and an awesome HEA epilogue.

Stiles is a human omega accidentally impregnated with alpha Derek Hale's baby a la Jane the Virgin.

Kate Argent is super mega creepy psycho.

There's also spontaneous growth of both

Not bad but farrrrrr too long. I was board at 36%. Here's the thing *takes deep breath* I don't like kids. I very rarely like kid fics, sure there are a few out there I like but that's a testament to the authors amazing writing, more often than not adding a kid to a story really detracts. So Brooke, why did you read an Mpreg kid fic? Well I love feral Derek which this story promised, but didn't really deliver on. Overall this really is not a bad read but it's just at OK. Once the baby was born I was done, it became the baby rearing story which held little interest to me. I like romance, babies are not romantic to me.

I like that the author is a law clerk, but it reads like a law student wrote this. That's not a bad thing for me, I just graduated law school in May and still talk shop every day with my law clerk husband. But this feels like when my parents tell me to stop talking about law crap because literally no one other than lawyers care about our court system until it effects them. Law is so boring(except it's not!) to most people, and I doubt the law aspect really resonates with other readers.

Tldr: overall too long, too many baby things, but not horrible.

I liked it. There was a lot to like in this story but, overall, it just felt way too long. Plus I have an irrationally annoyed reaction to calling werewolf babies 'cubs', wolves have pups, dang it! They finally were referred to as pups at the 70% mark. Also, clearly, the author has never been in a fire or paid attention during fire safety lessons. The upstairs would be the smokiest not the clearest.

12/17/15 I still rate this 4 stars. It's a pretty good story but, sadly, no sex. Sniff. Sniff.

I read this about five months ago and can't remember all of the details but I really enjoyed it.

Interesting (if a bit long) Sterek fanfiction

This is the first significant/lengthy work of fan fiction that I've really ever read. (Many readers/writers of male/male romance were originally interested in fanfic, but I came to this genre after being immersed related but slightly different genres - fantasy/scifi and a gay erotica.) While I have read plenty of amature/free stories online, overall I was very impressed by many aspects of this work, and it was overall a very pleasurable experience.

The first third of this Sterek (Stiles+Derek from Teen Wolf) story was entertaining, riveting and just generally a great read. The second two thirds were entertaining, but for a self-contained story they just dragged out too long. Overall, I enjoyed reading the whole work, even if I found the exposition of the truly interesting developments to be drawn out too long in the second two thirds. However, since this was originally released in installments, those who waited for a week to get the next chapter might have appreciated the drip of juicy (plot development) bits surrounded by lengthy immersions into the characters and setting.

I've watched a bit of Teen Wolf (first season or so), so the characters meant a little something to me and I appreciated the Stiles + Derek vibe. However, I felt the beginning was so strong, it would have worked with new/fresh characters not tied to the Teen Wolf environment. (Indeed, the developments and setting - mostly on the other side of the country - basically left the connection to the Teen Wolf environment to be relatively sparse, if enjoyable/fulfilling for fans of the show.)

3.5 stars for an enjoyable read compared to "regularly" published m/m romance fiction

4.5 stars for fan fiction of publishable quality (especially the first third, and the ideas of the rest)

Very well done. I cracked up just thinking about how awkward a situation this would be.

1-30-17 Still love this one. IT always surprises me how people can write about characters in different situations yet you can see it so clearly.

So I don't get sucked into starting it again, seems good but it drags on and on and on and on and on... just read something else.
