Shadow Cell

Rate this book
The disappearance of former handler and lover Megan Winslow strikes hard at Wade Hanna’s soul. He tenaciously digs into covert operations and learns that Megan is in mortal danger. The secret laboratory she has penetrated is conducting experiments on orphans to revive a Nazi effort to modify cell structure and turn innocent children into weaponized biological agents. A ruthless Argentine mobster now has world powers unfriendly to America eager to pay exorbitant sums for this technology of terror. Megan is the only one standing between the horrific experiments and the children’s freedom. If she is discovered, torture and death will follow. Facing overwhelming odds, Wade has little time to rescue her and save the children.

Wade Hanna is one of those characters that stay with you long after you've read the book. This is 4th in the series but this particular book held up well as a stand-alone. I definitely will be looking forward to starting at the beginning and hoping that this one isn't the last.

Hanna is ex-military, now working undercover. When he gets word that another operative, Megan Winslow, has disappeared, he jumps into action. This is not a 'normal' job for him ... He and Megan have a mutual history. She was his handler and also his lover. The hunt for Megan in on!

Hanna is a man's man ... tough, honest, and believes not in revenge, but in justice. Women are attracted to him ... men would like to be him. Megan is a another strong protagonist that most of us admire. She's tenacious in her belief of doing what's right.

The action is guaranteed to keep the reader turning page after page until the ending is reached. There is no cliff-hanger here, so keeping fingers crossed we'll see more of his adventures.

Many thanks to Royal Oak Press / Net Galley who furnished a digital copy ... and to the author and Wordslinger Publicity for furnishing a print ARC in exchange for an honest, unbiased opinion.
