I feel like book 5 ruined the series for me. I binge read the entire series over the weekend and book 5 took a lot of energy for me to finish.
I feel like this book, ruined the ideal that I had of Nic because she just seems so fragile, gullible, and without a backbone. I understand her reasoning for wanting to leave Kendrick and potentially move on and I also understand why it was so hard for her to leave him. But the way that she went about it and the constant arguing and crying and pushing him away, but then also getting mad at him for doing what she said, and then telling him that he’s not fighting for her but then when he’s fighting for her, she’s telling him to stop… That was too much! And then she also settled for Quincy while doing the same thing she was mad at Michael and Kendrick for doing… Cheating.
The previous books in the series portrayed Nic as having a backbone and being strong and opinionated, and smart! However, this book made her look very gullible and weak minded. When re-introduced to her, we were told that she graduated and had her bachelors and was working on her masters, and had also open a new salon with her friends. This gave me the ideal that she was a boss lady. But honestly, all the crying and back-and-forth was a turn off for me for this book. unfortunately.

Good Girls Love Thugs 1-5
Repetition repetitive book after book. I continued through the entire series. Same story over and over. I wish the author put as much time into developing the characters. The challenging part for the author was coming up with names that start with the letter K. Should have been one solid novel and I would have rated higher and given another of her books a try but, even free reads during a pandemic cost too much.

This was good!
Good read just like the rest...Nic got on my nerves though but I'm glad she and Kendrick got it together! I wish she would have had a girl...I could never get tired of reading about the King Men!

Truly enjoyed books 1-4 of the series but book 5 didn't have a purpose 🤷🏾♀️. I still love me some Shvonne and will keep it moving to the next series.

Should have ended with book 4
This book was ok but it was completely unnecessary. Why didn't she end this book with part 4? Nic was a complete sex crazed nut case. The plot made no sense. You stay when he cheats ( he was honest about it) but leave when he does nothing wrong and all of a sudden he's a liar after 3 years??? For me this was ok but wasn't necessary at all.

Nic and Kendrick had me STRESSED tf' out! I just wanted to pull my hair out! But I am happy they got their shit together at the end ; I highly recommend reading, but read the other 4 books first.

Unnecessary
I’m sorry but for this series to have 5 WHOLE BOOKS is ridiculous. Too many different characters. Too many repetitive scenes. Too predictable. And don’t get me started on the last book in the series. What was the point of that? At this point I’ve read quite a few of this author’s books and I must say that her work hasn’t shown much growth. Her books recycle the same story arcs and characters. Shes obsessed with light skin and light eyes. And she loves a good tube top or dress. Idk this series wasn’t good. There is so much infidelity the women just take the men back because of good sex and they just love them so much. Which made BOOK 5 even more useless. Why hold things against this man that happened YEARS ago especially when y’all have moved past it. Your marriage is finally in a decent place and you ruin it over what you think you know. I’m sorry but NIC was insufferable in this book. Just straight damn childish. Ken is better than me because I would have walked away instead of allowing someone to play with my emotions and waste my time. Simply because they felt like it was okay to do. Yea this series overall rating is 2/5 stars.

Part 4 was enough!
Okay, Although I love how family oriented every character is in this series. I could have truly passed on this book because it was downright repetiré and Nic with her confused ass got on my nerves with her crazy logic and all that back and fourth… God bless whoever can read this without skipping a few pages. Excellent Read
The King men definitely kept me interested in all the books!! At first in part 1 I almost stopped reading it. Once the females became involved with the King men the story kept me wanting for more!! Nic and Kendrick were my favorite characters!!! At first I kept confusing Nic for a male's name. Awesome job Shvonne Latrice!!!!
The King men definitely kept me interested in all the books!! At first in part 1 I almost stopped reading it. Once the females became involved with the King men the story kept me wanting for more!! Nic and Kendrick were my favorite characters!!! At first I kept confusing Nic for a male's name. Awesome job Shvonne Latrice!!!!

A must read
These books had me captivated from book 1 too 5.the author made it just like reality, the everyday happenings, it was not sappy but showed us promises are meant to be broken then fixed again. Men cheat,women get tired but love prevails! I love this series!! Hats off too you MS. Latrice. By the way those sex scenes perfect awww lol

February 13, 2021I read 1-5 and they were all good books but i'm in the middle of 5 and Nic has got on my second to last nerve. I don't understand how all the times Kendrick comes to you and say "hey i cheated i am sorry" that you cry and take him back and then the moment he say " I didn't cheat" you don't believe him and want to leave. Shaking my head. But i love all books by Shvonne Latrice.

Big Let Down
I read all 5 books in the series. Some things became repetitive in the Series, but my biggest disappointment was when Nic and Kendrick split up and 3 weeks later she was engaged to another guy. You can't even file for a divorce that fast.
It's like the tone of Nic changed too.

I definitely loved this bonus book. I just could t get enough of the King clan.I was getting scared for Nic and Kendrick.... once she out her door down I was also sad there were tears at some point . Thank you and I appreciate your imagination. As long as ur writing I’ll be reading.

Thus series was the best mistake I ever made!!! I accidentally hit buy the whole series instead of just trying the first book!!
This author had me at chapter one!!! Great characters great storylines!! Easy to follow!! I absolutely loved this series!! And yes I will read it again!!!

Intense
This series had me gone. I was glad that the book ended happily. I was wondering if there was twist coming with every paged I turned. I cried during every happy and sad moment. Had me thinking I was emotional. Job well done!! What's next for you? I am ready for another series... lol

Forever love
Nic and Kendrick had that forever love. I love how they had a connection even when they spit up and wasn’t around each other. Nic I know once you loose trust it’s hard to believe but if your man has never lied to you trust him continuously. This was a great read and I can read more from this gang

Series review as a whole: This series was not good. At all. I just wanted to see how it played out. I can definitely tell this was the author’s first books she wrote because there were so many issues. Also the fact that I like her latest series (Crenshaw Kings). Needless to say, I won’t be reading these ever again.
