On an Allied base at sea, Amanda Waller and Barda Free gather the Bombshells-Wonder Woman, Aquawoman, Supergirl and Stargirl, and their latest additions. Amanda warns them that the coming war is one of magic and steel, and that the Bombshells must rise and risk everything they know and love to fight this cruelty of the world.
It's great to see these women working together, and showing off their Bombshell forms. Sadly, with Bombshells, each of these women could be carrying on her own comic with the amount of plot they are sticking in these, which I think is some of the detraction for many people. When you are trying to give 20 plus characters a story, it starts to unravel for some characters. But i think, in the short amount of time the women get every time, they manage to hold their own and make their stories interesting.
A bit of a wrap-up issue, that tried to do a bit too much. Too many storylines in this one issue, so most barely got anything. I loved the wonder woman part and Zatanna's part might have been the most interesting out of all of them, so I'm excited to see where her story goes from here!
This closes the s cond arc of the series. #15 sees Supergirl and Stargirl save the faked camp and leave Russia. #16 Aquawoman aka Mera joined the Navy, chases U-Boats and sinks them. Supergirl and Stargirl join the Bombshells. #17 Batwoman, Berlin in league with Catwoman and Lex finds a new ally. #18 The final issue in the arc brings every characters to the same point in time. Can't wait for the next issue.
