'...if we have a past that we aren't particularly proud of, it doesn't mean that we can't have a promising future.'
Everyone has a past. But what if it becomes daunting baggage and spills over into the future? A fiercely independent, career-driven girl, Angira, has recently changed her Facebook status to ‘single in Mumbai’. While work has been her only priority, a twist of fate brings Ved—a strikingly handsome footballer, the heart-throb of the college—into her life. He seems genuine and fun-loving, but based on past experiences, Angira knows better than to trust him! Despite their contrasting personalities, the two develop an unexpected bond—a link for which they are about to risk everything they have. A riveting tale about incorrigible lovers with a dark past, It’s Not Right but It’s Okay is a true story about finding friendship and love again.
Wouldn't want to spend time to write a detailed Review. In fact, there really wasn't much to elaborate or talk about. So here is my Mini Review.
Despite the number of times I chide myself not to read Indian Author Books anymore, I end up reading them, each time, with the tiny hope lingering in my heart only to be regretted later.
In a nutshell, the story goes basically like this ; Girl meets Guy, They Fall for each other, Get committed. Soon Misunderstandings pop up, But they Patch up eventually with the help of a mutual friend, Make Love.
THE END.
Seriously??! Gimme just 10 seconds and I swear to god that I could come up with an even better story than this. Stories like these would be the least I would expect if I need to shell out a freagging 175 bucks for the book.
Overall:- Writing was par. Apart from a Few good lines, this book doesn't pack any sort of punch. Very Bland and Boring. Poor Story line. It Had the Indian Authors' Trademark Masala stuff portions which were obviously un-necessary and lame.
Would I recommend this book for my friends to read??? FUCK NO !
P.S I'm really tired of reading such books. C'mon, Its 2016 and You guys still write repetitive and ancient stories like these? And 4+ Rating for this book ?
I spent first Sunday of 2016 in completing the 2nd book of my year to start the year well in terms of my reading journey. This time I picked up Anuj Tiwari's "It's Not Right... but It's Okay" which has been released on 1st january, 2016 itself. As this is Anuj's 3rd book in 3 years of his writing experience, I had big expectations this time and I had decided to be harsh in case I see no improvements in his writing style. It's time to be little tough on the Indian fiction authors who write under romance genre. They are just writing the same kind of story each time with little twist and claiming it to be a true story. It becomes hard for readers to judge it considering that it's a true story and they start sympathizing with the protagonists without giving consideration to the quality of writing.
Well, getting back at the review, Anuj's writing has definitely improved twice than his last book. I witnessed a growth of 200% right from the first sentence to the last. With a flavor of romance, author have tried to tell a mature story with several characters having different background and personalities. The story sounds realistic hence you believe every scene that is been told in several small chapters and start imagining the characters around you. Anuj does justice to the locations he have chosen this time and the characters relate to the places they belong to. The story keeps moving in a flow with some sweet incidents, descriptions of tragic past, cute conversations, romantic Whatsapp chats etc until the last 25% of the book when a twist takes place and the characters start introspecting and believing and disbelieving and crying and resolving their cases to finally getting what they want from life with few exceptions.
The transitions that takes place in the story is well handled and you do not feel that the author was doubtful about any part that he was writing. Whenever the locations or the chemistry between the characters gets changed, you do not find a drastic change in terms of writing style or flow of story which makes this book one of the better light reads that you would love to carry with you while traveling or for a single-sitting read. I completed this book within 3.5 hours and it isn't boring at all like previous books of Anuj Tiwari which becomes monotonous after a point of time. This one surely stands out from his last two babies. I give this book a good 3 stars this time and I am sure Anuj is going to get better with each book that he's going to write. The only drawback about this book has been the distraction from the twist even when in the pre-climax part which begins to irritate a reader. Anuj should have handled it properly. Rest, it's a fine attempt.
Best Book. The way he portrayed each character and way of narration is just more than wow. I personally felt that naming the characters in such a way pretty awesome. Big thanks for Anuj Tiwari coming up with this amazing novel.
It’s not right but it’s okay Third book and the last book by the Author, Anuj Tiwari. He has written about his life experiences in all three books. People are most concerned about relationships rather anything in this world to count in. One among the relationship, which has the power to spread its wings is absolutely loved. And Anuj Tiwari has carved his words with accuracy on blending the meaning of Friendship and True Love. His words, nearly as poetic lines, gives a lot of meaning inherited by his simple language. A single decision can change your style of living and revolutionize the blow of your breath, one is this, this book. In love with the words of the author. His spectacle of love brings the life down to the black printed words. So, get one and feel the love. The storyline is truly awesome and intriguing.Every character is one of a kind But I liked Arjun’s character the most. He is the most trustworthy and loyal friend. Lucky are those who have a friend like him and I’m lucky as I have Sumit as my best friend in my life. The bond between Arjun and Anushka is beautiful. Anushka is the best sister. The way she cherishes and pampers her sister Angira is applaudable. Coming to Ved and Angira, they make a lovely couple. The trust and loyalty they share is the best thing in their relationship. They are an epitome of true love. While reading this novel one goes through a roller coaster ride of emotions. There is love, romance, friendship, trust, loyalty and a lot more. It teaches us the value of relationships, family, friends and true love. It’s an incredible work by Anuj Tiwari. It’s our bad luck that author will not write more books.
This book revives friendship and love. The story is all about friendship between Arjun and Anushka and romance between Ved and Angira. Once you are heartbroken its difficult to fall in love, these characters face the same.
The bet part of the book is its different narration. Since I have read many romantic books I can say its narration stood out. I could relate to the characters, I loved Angira could feel the pain she goes through during her breakup and I could say to have a friend like Charu would mean the world to me.
The down part of the book I say is its predictability. I felt Anushka and Arjun’s character could have been brought into picture, there role is way less in the book. I felt a slow beginning to a gripping mid. somewhere some emotions are left behind.
Quite disappointing. There's nothing impressive in his writing style. Seems like he just narrates. And its just the same theme that is being written by Indian writers all the time about romance. Try something different!

Why did I buy the Book?
I happen to buy this book from the World Book Fair where I saw that the author has written a best selling book 'It Had to be you'. So I wanted to know his writing style. To know what is working in the Indian Reader's market market (non-readers included) interests me. This is because most popular books have a larger readership than usual.
Plot
It is a short book on the love story blooming between Ved and Angira. The story is based on a real life love story. The story describes tests of love the couple had to pass and the fear they had to overcome.
Writing
Writing is easy to follow especially for the non-readers.There could be more descriptions of surroundings in a scene of various plots. The writing focuses more on characters and their A-List educational background. It seems the writing targets the readers who aspire to study in such colleges.
The writing could be better if other characters were also covered in depth. It could make the book more interesting had it covered the antagonist character of the book in depth. It could have also completed the story of Arjun and Anushka. This would have lifted up the writing more.
Though it starts with Arjun and Anushka, as a reader it left me dissatisfied that in the middle somewhere they become only the supporting characters and their story is left somewhere. Perhaps it's reserved for some other book by the author.
What I liked about the book
I liked the overall message that don't be guided by your past for our future. The future can be promising no matter how dark the past is. I found the emotions of the main characters navigating their life and the love story very relatable.
If one is looking for a comfy romantic book which is easy to finish and can get one to read, then you can try this book. This is exactly why the author has attracted a larger readership over the years.
The Author Of the Book @anujtiwariofficial has mentioned in the book saying that he wanted readers to read this book as a story of love, commitment and friendship that fits together in one sheath which one can really experience The book is a story of 4 characters named Anushka, Arjun, Ved & Angira ( and few others like Iona ,& charu) connected to eachother with a thread of love and friendship. The best part of it was how relationship of Angira and Ved was developing throughout the book, starting from their WhatsApp conversations, their first beach date to their night spent at Bangalore hotel.
The story is gripping and full of emotions.... One could feel the emotions of every single character as they are very well expressed by the Author. There were few lines in the book which really touches one's heart and teaches us to look at life from A fresh perspective... The quote from the book that perfectly resonates the essence of the book is ‘Love still exists in hearts, not in books. Books exist to make them live
‘It's not Right ... But it's okay’ is a story of love, commitment and friendship. This is a story about Ved, Angira , Anushka and Arjun . Angira who is Anushka’s sister goes through a break up phase but want to pursue her dream of fashion designing in Mumbai. Due to her current situation her mother don't agree to send her. But Anushka convince her mother with the help of Arjun. Arjun is an author and best friend of Anushka who can do anything to make his friends happy. Angira's perceptive about love changed after her break up but then she meets Ved in Mumbai.
Will Angira fell in love again ? Can Ved help Angira to forget her past?
The author has used the same romance outline and didn't go much further in writing. The book has all flavor of love, friendship, hate, romance but the wow factor was missing much.
The cover looks pleasant and beautiful. I almost felt to back off while i was half way through the book. But proceeded to see if there will be a twist in the book. Author should have worked even more as the story is the same old story.
Arjun and Anushka were just a small characters to fill up the pages. Male protagonist and female protagonist were so simple and not attractive enough to impress the readers.Angira and Ved past was less told and was easily judged by me as a reader.
This book is usual love story with expected sequences and twists.
A good mixture of different type of characters, kept the curiosity of what is coming next till the end. Being a true story, it has everything like fun, romance, drama, pain, secrets. One extra star in the ratings for that. It's about how one can achieve everything by focusing on what he has and not what has already happened.
The friendship between them is beautifully portrayed The ved angira tragedy was also good with lil suspense
Conversation between iona and ved in the end could have been like tey clear out all the confusion like y she did sk and things could have been told elaborately
One of the best stories - It's not right... but it's okay - that I've read till date. Those who have faced such things can connect to it very well just like I found myself connected to this story. This book is beautifully written and presented.
He never fails to inspire us with her words. This one is really something deep than the last book . I'm so happy to have one of the best inspiring novels with me among my collections. Thanks Anuj Sir again.
Felt every word, every moment as in imagining myself in the position of the character. Anuj's explanation of everything is just out of this world. I would recommend this to everyone. Honestly, I can't get out of this book. Enjoyed every bit of the story.
The chemistry between Angira and Ved was so real and attractive that while reading i felt I'm Angira. Till the end of the story, you will feel like flowing along the river of love. In short, it is a great novel.
I am rating this book 2 stars purely for the right use of grammar. Content wise, nothing comes for the reader, although the writer has tried to knit quite a few emotions, it has failed to stir any chords. A basic, first timer book and regular book readers will not enjoy this at all.

A good light read about love, friendship and importance of friends in one's life. Friend's life is as important as yours. Your past is not your future.
