Franklin W. Dixon is the pen name used by a variety of different authors who were part of a team that wrote The Hardy Boys novels for the Stratemeyer Syndicate (now owned by Simon & Schuster). Dixon was also the writer attributed for the Ted Scott Flying Stories series, published by Grosset & Dunlap.
Canadian author Leslie McFarlane is believed to have written the first sixteen Hardy Boys books, but worked to a detailed plot and character outline for each story. The outlines are believed to have originated with Edward Stratemeyer, with later books outlined by his daughters Edna C. Squier and Harriet Stratemeyer Adams. Edward and Harriet also edited all books in the series through the mid-1960s. Other writers of the original books include MacFarlane's wife Amy, John Button, Andrew E. Svenson, and Adams herself; most of the outlines were done by Adams and Svenson. A number of other writers and editors were recruited to revise the outlines and update the texts in line with a more modern sensibility, starting in the late 1950s.
The principal author for the Ted Scott books was John W. Duffield.

It was really good, I enjoyed it! Great read!
The only bad thing was that it was so suspenseful, I didn't want to stop reading but sadly, I kept being forced to stop reading sometime. Arg!
How I wished I finished it in a day!
I usually like to finish a suspenseful book ( like this HB book ) in a day cos then I wouldn't have to worry if I would have time or not the next day. Also, whenever I don't finish a book in a day, it would keep me awake almost the whole night to wonder what would happen next.
Anyway, great HB book!

Another favorite Hardy Boys done rereading.

The new combat sports training facility that just opened in Bayport is being sabotaged in this installment of the Hardy Boys series! First Joe's girlfriend, Iola gets an electrical shock during fencing workout, and then someone attempts to shoot Frank with arrows on the archery range...
Training For Trouble was intriguing with intense scenes. As usual, it has all the Hardy qualities that reminded me of why I got into the Hardy Boys in the first place; the brother teamwork and not giving up despite the dangers involved.

Great Hardy Boys book - some many cool things that make it one of my fave Hardy Boys books! I love the brothers, the mystery, the action, the bravery, good humor, archery, and the presence of cool regular HB characters, the Hardy brothers' parents - their Dad, Fenton; their mom, Laura; Joe's girlfriend, Iola; Frank's girlfriend, Callie; and their friend on the Bayport Police Department, Con Riley.

The only thing i disliked about the book was that it had too much FRANK and very less of JOE and so it is quite like one man investigates(Frank) and the other does all the real fighting(Joe)

I feel like the Hardy Boys have done quite a few extreme sports competition things by now and this one offers little to nothing new in the way of environment. The setting was profoundly boring. I did enjoy how they thought they caught the villain midway through and had to restart investigating, that's pretty involved for a book like this. Pleasantly surprised who the main antagonist ended up being too.

A fun story with good action but the mystery feels a little dull.

I’m going back and reading some of the books I read or wanted to read as a kid. This was fine for a children’s mystery, but I think there’s a reason I preferred Nancy Drew.

This book was great. One very key thing that I acquired from this book is that when shooting archery one must release in between heartbeats...sounds pretty impossible but im sure that if you could do it you would be pretty kick a.
