Love...the only thing you find happiness in, when you fall in it. Sometimes you don't choose it, rather it chooses you....and when you are chosen, you know what love means, you understand what true happiness is. But you don't plan it...actually you can't...it just happens...sometimes knowingly and sometimes just by chance. The same thing happened with a small town boy Mohit and a high class girl Pihu. They had never seen each other yet they fell in love. They never touched each other yet they couldn't be separated. The bubbly girl not just only brought happiness in the life of introvert boy Mohit, she taught him the true meaning of love. But destiny had some other plans. Mohit faced the choice of either leaving her behind or leaving his life behind. What would he choose? Would Mohit forget his promises what he made to his bubbly girl or will he show the meaning of true love and will set an example?
** I received a paperback copy of ‘All I need is You’ from the author 'Mukund Verma' in exchange for an honest review**
Mohit met Pihu over a wrong number, the curiosity at Mohit's end led to frequent texts. And the sweet love story began leading to calls and eventually they meet. The love between them blossomed and they became inseparable. There were sweet conflicts as well like every other relationship which strengthened the bond between Mohit and Pihu. After a long time I came across a book which talks about simple sweet true-love. It is very heart-warming reading it.
The characters are adorable and the plots are very sweet, though it lacked originality. There are numerous books and movies with the same plot presented in different ways which grabs the interest of a reader, in that context I felt 'All I need is You' was pretty straight-forward.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is yet another sweet ,romantic love story. I like the cover of the book .The story revolves around the protagonist Mohit and Pihu. The story starts when Mohit is in 7th sem ,doing engineering & he used to stay in hostel. The characterization is done well.
Mohit meet with Pihu ,when he dialled a number by mistake and then series of messages, text followed. He is addicted to her long talks and her innocent giggles. He just wanted them never to end. He used to wait for her call or SMS .She had strictly warned him against calling in her mobile. But he had broken that pact a few times.
The ending really touched my heart ,when Pihu was in ICU and Mohit constantly waited to her to get well soon , but it took days & even months .Pihu's condition improved after the surgery. But within inside his heart, he know that one day she will fine. There was hope that maybe, one day she would definitely wake up, smile & start talking .He misses her past ,time spend with her.
Its a Fast Paced Read. The writing was really superb, it totally gets and holds your attention. The author has written this so well, very descriptive, intelligent, full of incredible imagination.
Definitely not a book that you will want to put down. Looking forward to read more from the author. I Would give this book 4 out of 5 stars.
I thank the author, Mukund Verma as… I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
My honest verdict to this book 3 stars out of 5
A short and forthright story. Not emotionally descriptive. A sweet, simple love-story. One would feel that he/she have read the similar stories or watched similar programs/movies but this story has that cuteness and innocence which can touch your heart for sure.
The Love-Story of an introvert boy Mohit and a bubbly girl Pihu (who was not so bubbly) starts when Mohit mistakenly dials a wrong number which ultimately goes to Pihu. He gets attracted by her soothing voice. They start to talk to each other as strangers, get acquaintances over their smartphones and gradually they meet. Dramatic, right? The start of the story is so brief. The author has kept the phone conversation ‘as is’. No extra description. No lengthy philosophies. Just few to-the-point dialogues. The end was written very well. I feel that prior to writing this novel, the author had a very particular theme of climax and hence he developed the story well-suited to the same. Even the cover pages were designed in the similar manner. No flashy images. No imaginative tag lines. I really liked it.
I could have given the 4 stars to this book but I’m giving 3 stars because… I receive the book in poor binding. I feel that the well-written novel with poor appearance can result in quick turn off and repulsion from the reader’s pick. Even the proof-reading wasn’t done perfectly. This book deserves more attention in this area. Many times while reading I felt that if the same book would be in ‘hindi’ language, it could have given ‘richer’ feel of the story.
My favourite quote from the book? It’s the theme of this novel, and I am glad that author could preserve it till the end. “You don’t choose to fall in love. Rather it chooses you. Sometimes unexpectedly. It just happens like that.”
ALL I NEED IS YOU is the debut book by Mukund Anand. It's the story of Mohit and Pihu, whose love story begins with a missed call. The late-night texts and phone calls lead to new friendship, and gradually to something more beautiful. They fall in love, become inseparable, but what the future had in store for them was unexpected.
Mohit and Pihu's story was a slice of life, and I appreciate it. Even so, it turned out as a cliched theme for me. There are a million books written on the same premise, and most of them take you through an emotional roller-coaster and leaves you heartbroken, accompanied by a heavy bookish hangover. Somehow, ALL I NEED IS YOU was nothing of that sort. I reckon it's because the prose was too flat, it couldn't evoke any feelings and emotions the characters were going through. The characters are so real, and the setting is also perfect. The story starts in college days and continues to protagonist's professional life. We get to spend a lot of time with them and observe their budding romance. Nonetheless, my only gripe is that the author should have written the story a bit more beautifully...
"All I Need is You" - a love story based on long distance relationship. A story which tells advantages and conflicts of long distance.
The story is about Mohit and Pihu who met at wrong phone call, eventually became friend and last lovers. Their love blossoms and they come across roller coaster ride of life. A typical simple tone love story.
You will love this one if you like reading love stories.
A very well written, beautifully conceptualised and brilliantly narrated love story of Mohit and Pihu. To know more about the specifics about the book visit http://the-empty-pages.blogspot.in/20...
Written in very lucid language, this book is a great attempt to touch teenage love story. The kind of story is not too unfamiliar but the treatment it gets through this book is praiseworthy. Choice of words fits well in to theme and the context.
