HEROES LIVE FOREVER
Elinor Hawthorne has inherited a house haunted by two medieval knights, Basil Manneville and Guy Guiscard. Basil is literally the knight of her dreams. She never expected to “meet” a ghost face to face let alone fall in love with one. Living the normal life together that they’d want is impossible unless fate
intervenes.

A lifetime later fate does intervene. Basil, still in love with Elinor, is told her spirit lives on in a young woman. He is given another chance at life to find her.

JOURNEY IN TIME

The budding romance between London attorney, Shakira Constantine, and her client, Alex Lancaster is put to the test when the couple finds themselves torn through time back to the medieval world. It’s a world Alex has a strong connection to, a connection that will cost him his life unless they can find a way to return to this time. Without him, Shakira is condemned to live in a dangerous medieval world alone.

Together they’ll struggle to discover a way back to the modern world while dealing with the political and social intrigues of 14th Century England. The intrigues of that world all too often work against their efforts to get home.

KNIGHT BLINDNESS
Stephen Palmer, a wounded medieval knight finds himself torn through time from the battlefield to the modern and alien world.

Seriously injured, he now must make his way in a world he has no context for and no knowledge about.

Esme Crippen is hired as his tutor. Love is something he does understand and as the two fall into love, they both must overcome the fact the world thinks him mad with his time-travel talk, including Esme.

A great series full of intrigue, romance, and sexy knights! This series kept me interested through every page. Each book has its own unique story that makes you feel like your right there with all the wonderful characters! Each book ties together or you could read them alone. I loved the way this series made my heart race and put a smile on my face numerous times. A must read for everyone!

I tried to read this set of books, I really did. I just could not finish, because I couldn't stand the heroes, and how the heroines let them get away with being such jerks.

I did read all of the first book. Basil/Ian was annoying in the way he just expected Miranda to remember her past life just like he did, and he kept pushing her to remember even when it made her uncomfortable. I actually wondered why she put up with him doing that to her. He wasn't that hot. I also thought the book was a little too long -- it just seemed to go on forever, and I got bored with it.

I decided to give the series another chance, thinking maybe I would like the 2nd book better. I was hoping I would like Guy/Alex more, but he was worse -- he was just a total a$$! I read enough for Alex and Shakira to be sent back in time. Alex tells Shakira she has to go meet the king and prince (and she understands that means she has to be nice to them). Then Alex gets incredibly jealous when the prince flirts with her, even though he is flirting with another woman the entire time. Because he is so jealous, he insists on rough sex. That bothered me a lot, because Shakira just can't resist him, even though he is a total a$$ -- she is a lawyer, for goodness sake, yet she just melts for him? I don't think so. Alex also just expects Shakira to accept that he wants her only as his mistress, and will never commit to her. He doesn't care that she doesn't want to be a mistress. After he has his attack of jerky jealousy, I couldn't take anymore. I don't want the two of them together, because Alex does NOT deserve her.

I decided not to even try to read the 3rd book, as it seems this author is OK with heroes who are total jerks or worse. I don't like books like that. I'm deleting this one from my Kindle.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

I enjoyed the first three books of this series included in this set.

For Heroes in Time - I liked aspects of this book. The idea of the medieval ghosts was different. And I was looking forward to the romance and eventual reason the ghost was given a second chance at life. I wasn’t expecting the main FMC to die. That was a shock.

But parts of the book were over the top. Some of the descriptions were one extreme or another. At one point the main female character was described as “devastated” over something very minor. And that type of description occurred throughout the book.

Also, the will they, won’t they went on too long. One second they’ve hot and heavy the next they aren’t speaking. It just was too much.

For Journey in Time - I liked this book a lot. It had all the adventure and intrigue the first book in the series was missing. Having Alex and Shakira transported back to medieval times and then having to deal with the differences between their times was wonderful.

The ending felt a little rushed. Alex randomly made it back to present day but then he completely ignored Shakira. And only once he finds out about the baby he goes to her?!? You felt how betrayed Alex felt by her leaving him in the past but they over came the mistrust a little too fast for me.

For Knight Blindness - this books was good. I enjoyed watching Stephen figure out 2013 while also being blind. He had an amazing attitude for someone who had such hardships. His relationship with Esme was nice. The additional story about the French knight that also came through with Stephen was interesting. At first you thought him to be the villain but in the end he ended up more of a friend.

This series has grabbed my heart. The couple's and families' interaction was totally awesome.
Action/adventure? Yes, lots! Romance? Yep, it has that too!
They had such a feel-good factor that I was absorbed from the start!
The only downside for me is it's hard to track since there are quite a few characters and they bounce around through time. Having said that, I quite enjoyed all of the books.

Love these stories. All three of them were really good and I highly recommend them. I love these types of stories and it is often rare when you find them this good. You have excitement, fun, surprises, love, suspense and so much more. What a good surprise these women got. Hot alpha males and an adventure. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

I enjoy being swept away by a book and Chris Karlsen has really mastered doing that for her reader.
Each of these focused on different characters and I think Karlsen does a great job of making sure the stories are unique but equally captivating.
Wonderful characters, drama and action, and romance. It’s a great set!

Good read

Enjoyed reading this boxed set of time travel Knight series, I am glad I bought it instead of the individual stories. I know it took me awhile to finish it but at least I don't need to look for another time travel book for a week or so. Thank you Chris K for putting them together; now I only need to wait for the other 2 books to go on sale then I can buy them

A truly addictive, escapist read.

Basil and Guy's story begins with 'Heroes Live Forever.' These two knights and loyal friends are loveable rogues, sweet and funny. The fact that they are ghosts only adds to their charm. They are both fond of and protective of Elinor, especially Basil, who provides some very amusing episodes when he makes use of his ghostly skills in helping her and by scaring off a romantic rival.
There is a lot of humour, charm and an old worldly romantic feel to the story thanks to Basil's 14th century chivalric code. However, there is also a depth to Basil and Elinor's story that is touching and poignant. I had to stop reading it in public at one stage because tears were threatening.
It is a long, rocky road to their happy ending but well worth the journey.

'Journey In Time' sees Guy getting his happy ever after with a second chance at life and love. His spirit has been given a new human form, in the guise of Alex Lancaster, a descendant of Guy's and a successful music producer. He meets and falls in love with Shakira, a lawyer, but before they have time to seriously consider a proper relationship, they are swept back in time to 14th century England. Back in his old time, Alex quickly has to shed his carefree future persona to that of a knight of old. With the trials of political intrigue and war on the horizon, Alex has the weight of the world on his shoulders. He also has to protect Shakira and get back to the present day before he is sent off to battle and dies all over again.
Guy is a great romantic hero. He is protective of Shakira, passionate, funny, quick thinking and proves to be a good friend on more than one occasion.
I loved the time travel element in this book. There was plenty of action, backstabbing and intrigue that you would associate with this time. With a healthy dose of romance in the mix, 'Journey in Time' proved to be one story I couldn't put down and didn't want to end.

'Knight Blindness' gives us Stephen Palmer's story, a knight whom we met in 'Journey In Time.' A twist of fate has seen him propelled from a 14th century French battlefield to the present day. He is suffering from injuries sustained in the battle and has lost his eyesight. He is alone and confused but luckily with the help of his friends, Basil and Guy, he learns to adjust. With the help of Esme, a tutor, he learns how to cope with both his blindness and carve out a life for himself in this new time.
I liked Stephen's character and his sense of determination but he didn't quite measure up to Guy and Basil. He was sweet at the beginning when he was getting to know Esme and falling in love but after a misunderstanding he was quite unforgiving and callous. I didn't like the way he treated Esme who did far too much running after him for my liking. However, it all worked out in the end and I enjoyed their story.
Stephen didn't travel through time alone, however. The French Knight, Marchand, who struck him down in battle also came through the time portal along with their two war horses. His presence and personal agenda added another layer of suspense to the story.

I loved this series as it ticked so many boxes for me, romance, time travel, ghost story and medieval romance. Whether you are a fan of any of these genres or not, either way, 'Knights In Time' won't fail to entertain.

Outstanding Stories 5+*

These three stories are very interesting and very well written. Never a dull moment. Chapter to chapter keeps you in a thought-provoking mind set just wanting more. The main characters are strongly developed and are able to carry their own stories. I highly recommend this box set. You will not be disappointed.
