Bob is lost in grief, Sam is fighting for his life, and there is no middle ground. Can their love survive?
Bob is grieving over his brother’s sacrifice. Guilt-ridden and devastated, he buries himself in vampire mourning and pulls away from Sam.
Magic tears Sam from the vampire castle and he has to face new adversaries alone, when all he wants is Bob at his side.
Ettore is in the Aset Ka waiting room, next in line for the ceremony for his soul to be torn from his body. Aset Ka has other plans, and Ettore finds himself reunited with a lost love and fighting alongside his brother.
A forgotten past binds Theodore ‘Teddy’ McCurray Constantine III to Ettore, and with the curse tied to Ettore broken by his death, Teddy’s past returns to him with a vengeance.
A royal family in denial, a battle between gods, and long forgotten love leaves no time for Sam and Bob to take a breath. Is it too late to save the supernatural world?
Amber Kell has made a career out of daydreaming. It has been a lifelong habit she practices diligently as shown by her complete lack of focus on anything not related to her fantasy world building.
When she told her husband what she wanted to do with her life he told her to go have fun.
During those seconds she isn't writing she remembers she has children who humor her with games of 'what if' and let her drag them to foreign lands to gather inspiration. Her youngest confided in her that he wants to write because he longs for a website and an author name—two things apparently necessary to be a proper writer.
Despite her husband's insistence she doesn't drink enough to be a true literary genius she continues to spin stories of people falling happily in love and staying that way.
She is thwarted during the day by a traffic jam of cats on the stairway and a puppy who insists on walks, but she bravely perseveres..
Oh my word! I love this series. It’s all been building toward this one. I think it’s the final book in the series but never say never!
Sam is the almighty power of the universe. As we’ve followed him from book one until now, we have seen his magic grow. And through it all we’ve asked why? What is the reason? Well, I can tell you all this; you’ll find out in this book. Your questions get answered and End Street meets its end game!
Bob, Ettore, Teddy, Smudge, Jin, Mal, Maliki, all of them are in for the fight of their lives and I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. This is extremely fast paced and over before you know it. If this is in fact the end of this series I am going to miss it terribly.
We find out Teddy’s story, Ettore’s fate, and all the questions get answers; and I have to say, RJ and Amber really filled in the holes, gaps, and loose ends wonderfully. This very well might be my most favorite paranormal series out there. I want to go back and read them all again (and I am not a re-reader) because I want to see if I can pick up on the little things that in the end made all the difference. Each case Sam took on was vital to Sam’s purpose, his power, and ultimately his responsibility.
You have to read these books in order. They aren’t stand alone and you’ll miss out on a lot if you don’t
This is the end. Of this very different series. Rj and Amber do a fabulous job of tying up the plot hangers. We find out what Sam really is, we find out why Terry has been tied to earth. There is a separate new episode full of action, battles, a kidnapping and a bit of mayhem. We have Psycho Vampire and we have a lot of Love. Just what you want in a romance! I'm sad to see the end of this fun and exciting series. But, I'm very happy with the way it ended.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest opinion. I will be purchasing my copy today with everyone else.
Do we really have to end this series now? I love this little world Amber Kell and RJ Scott have created, and with this being the last book in the series, I'm really going to miss this world, these characters, and the great paranormal nuances that have been present throughout the series.
I really like how even though Sam and Bob are not always the couple about whom a particular story is centered upon, their relationship and bond still keeps growing, developing and advancing throughout the series. Here in Guilty Ghost, Ettore and Teddy are the ones who were torn apart so long ago when Teddy's death ripped him away far too soon, so we get a second chance romance in the middle of the chaos and suspense of the final confrontation of the series. Ettore and Teddy are actually a lot alike, both selfless and willing to sacrifice themselves to help others. That was true in life, and still here in death.
The story will definitely keep you in its grip-and while I will admit that the exponentially increasing power Sam gains at an ever more rapid pace may seem somewhat convenient at times (especially the further into the book you read), it still makes for an exciting tale. The bond between Sam and Bob continues to strengthen, leaving no doubt that the two are meant for each other-regardless of information that is revealed at the end about their relationship (yes, I know-that's a tease...).
The Case of the Guilty Ghost will feel like it goes by pretty quickly, but it's a good end to the series (dang it, are you guys sure the series has to end???). This was a 4-star read for me, and I recommend this story and the entire series to any fan of M/M paranormal romance. There's adult language and M/M sexual content, so this book is still for readers 18+.
I was so sad to begin reading 'The Case of the Guilty Ghost'. Not only because of the developments at the end of the previous installment, but also because I had no idea whether the authors plan to write more in this wonderful series. I certainly hope they do because Sam, Bob, and the entire gang are funny, witty, adorable, and provide a ton of enjoyment.
Poor Bob. He's devastated over his brother, Ettore's, sacrifice and subsequent death. He's in mourning - an ancient vampire ritual that mutes the mate bond - and Sam is freaking out. He's positive that something has happened and Bob needs him. Following what he believes is Bob's voice in his head, crying for help, leads Sam to… trouble, with a capital T. And why wouldn't it? This is Sam. When Sam finds out what Teddy, the ghost in his house, has to say, Sam is more than a little shocked.
Meanwhile, Ettore's soul is with Aset Ka, the vampire god, and he sends Ettore back to the corporeal world, for seven days only, to investigate a disturbance he has felt. (Yes, it totally was a Star Wars moment!) Sam isn't one for coincidences, and neither is Ettore, having been vampire king for so long, and so for Sam to discover that Teddy is Ettore's mate who was killed by Ettore's younger brother a century ago… hmmm… something smells rather rotten there. Now Ettore is wondering if Aset Ka sent him to get Sam's soul for the vampire god.
Oh, such excitement! Radim, Bob and Ettore's younger brother coming back to claim the kingdom, infected with vile, dark magic, and wizards he holds in thrall to do his bidding should have been bad enough, but it's never easy in this fascinating world. There's a kidnapping, bribery, revenge, some really freaky mojo going on with Sam and his powers, and an unexpected relative of Sam's who gives him all the background on being the seventh descendant after seven centuries of breeding. That's all I'm saying, by the way.
This was so amazing, but I'm really sad now. I definitely got the impression that this is the end and I hate that. I stumbled onto this series and couldn't read the books fast enough. Sam, Bob, Smudge, and all the interesting and wonderful characters who made up these stories, brought the whole world to life. Thank you to the authors for such an incredible gift!

The Case of the Guilty Ghost (End Street book 6) Amber Kell and R.J. Scott Love Lane Books, 2017 Four stars
Aw. The last of Sam Enderson and his vampire lover Bob?
Well, if you have to end a series, go big. Finally, Sam figures out exactly who he is, denying and resisting the truth the whole way. But one thing is clear from the beginning of book 6s, Sam loves Bob so much, he’s willing to confront his true self if that will keep Bob by his side and keep his friends and family safe. After all, it was Bob who got Sam to look hard at his prejudice against paranormals in the first place.
The guilty ghost is question is the ever-irritating Teddy, the ghost that haunts the house on End Street where Sam’s detective agency is located. I will say no more about that, other than to note that I was surprised. Teddy has always been rather a cipher in these books, but now we learn who he was in life and what role he plays in the series finale.
Magic, romance, and the internal politics of the Vampire Kingdom, all come to a head, maintaining the deadpan humor that characterizes Sam’s world-weary personality. Even with his emerging self-awareness, Sam can’t help but feel put-upon by everybody’s inability just to leave him alone.
“Sitting up, Sam found he had been lying on an altar. ‘Yeah, that’s not ominous.’”
All of the stories of all of the preceding books in the End Street series finally come together, filling each page with emotion and action, as Sam Enderson blunders his way to his destiny. All he wants is to be a father to his daughter Mal and a husband to his beloved vampire Bob. And he’ll do anything to get there.
I’m not sure if the last bit is opening a door to another series, or just ending this one in a way that makes one wonder what will happen. No matter. The End Street series has been tremendous fun, and I look forward to re-reading the whole thing some day.
*review for volume 3, books 5&6 in series* These books are just fun for me! We get a little bit more of Sam and Bob in these which I appreciated because I am a bit obsessed with them. They are entertaining as always and in this volume, we got to see more of their dedication to each other. There were more complex emotions in these two books and I liked seeing that different and more vulnerable side of Sam and Bob. There is the perfect amount of mystery, humor and snarky banter to make these an easy and enjoyable read.
I loved seeing the fae triplets again and getting to know them a little bit more. Like most of the characters in this series, they are a little mysterious and it was nice to see them interact with Sam a bit more. Each road for the characters to find or be reconnected with their fated mate is unique. The storylines of Hal and Idris and Teddy and Ettore were interesting and super sweet.
It seems like this may be the last of Sam and Bob, I hope not!! Overall this was a solid and original series that will definitely be on my reread list!

The final book in the End Street Detective Agency and I'm not ready to let these characters go. I love each character especially Sam and Bob and this book wraps up a lot of the teasers from previous books (what is Sam really, who is Teddy etc.)
This books mainly focuses on Bob's brother Ettore and Teddy the ghost as they and the rest of the group face off against the big bad and finally Sam comes into his own. The love that Bob and Sam have for each other and for their adopted daughter Mal is what has kept me coming back to this series and this book was no exception.
It was a quick read but not lacking.. I just always want more but this was just enough.
Bob is in the rites of vampire mourning and Sam is on his own in the castle of the vampires. What follows ties up the scattered loose ends of the series. The story is a solid read that takes you on the final journey of Sam and Bob. Through the entire story the theme remains Love will find a way, even if it takes a talking cat a deranged Vampire god, a moody horny ghost to finally win the day.
I always read these stories in one sitting I can't help myself. I've been waiting an age for this book and enjoyed every chapter. Keep writing ladies we need more, with maybe an update on all the other characters too!!
Sam is set for a showdown with gods. Bob is lost in grief for his brother. Said brother, Ettore, is sent back to the world of the living as a spirit to gather information for the vampire god. Meanwhile, Teddy, the ghost living at Sam's building happens to be Ettore's long lost love.
Lots of plot twists and turns. Sam is not so human after all. Smudge is awesomeness. Very fitting ending to the series. Super sad. I really liked all the characters in the series and would have liked to see spin offs but alas its been almost 10 years so I doubt any more will be published.
I'm going to run off to Archive of Our Own and troll around looking. You never know.
I have enjoyed the end street detectives for the quirky side and humor , but I found this episode simplified like a teeny hoppers home spun tales. It wasn't awful nor was it fantastic . I will most likely try the next if it appears in hopes of the original stories t hat kept me engaged . This was ok . But not mesmerizing even with Sam's magic .
Glad I didn't read 5 until 6 came out or I would have been so mad having to wait. Loved Sam and Bob and hope to see them again. If you haven't please read the series. Amber and RJ rock!!!!
And this is the perfect conclusion for an amazing series. I will miss these characters so much.
Sam and company have to fight against evil forces that have been planning to take over the paranormal world. Loyalties are tested and old lovers reunited and Sam must face who he really is if he wants to save his family and everyone else.
Even though the book focuses mainly on Teddy and Ettore and their pasts, it doesn't leave aside Sam, Bob and the rest of the gang, it has a pretty good balance actually, all of them have a big part in the story.
I really loved how this book ended, all the loose ends are tied up and the bad guys get what they deserve. We get to see our favorite characters going through a final battle to restore the balance between light and darkness and be given the chance to get the happiness they long for.
Let me just say, that the authors do a great job wrapping the story up for us. This whole series had me captivated to the very end.

The Case of the Guilty Ghost [End of Street Detective Agency Book 6]
This was totally awesome I Loved it and I hope there will be more of it If you read this Author Amber Kell please don't let this end keep up this great series..."Please"
The first book was the best one. I liked the parts that were Sam and Bob, not so much all the other couples. The timelines were really confusing, I am not sure that it actually followed through. Also, Smudge sometimes was male and sometimes female, what's with that?
It has been more than a year since book 5, The Case of the Purple Pearl, came out and that made the initial reading of this book confusing. It took a bit of reading before the characters and plots became familiar again. Bob, Sam, Ettore, Teddy, Jin, Lambert, Mal, et al take this story and make it the culminating fulfillment of the prophesy. This took place all while giving brothers Bob and Ettore family and relationship closure.
Out of all the characters that have wandered in and out of this series, I will admit that I never thought I would find out the story behind Teddy; he’d kind of become this background fixture in my mind, just always there in one capacity or another. After the events of the previous book, things start out with Bob locking himself away in his grief and his brother’s soul going before the vampire God, Aset Ka; things aren’t right with the balance of the world and instead of being processed for the afterlife right away, Aset Ka is going to send Ettore back for a week to find and take care of the problem. This decision has far ranging repercussions including the truth behind Teddy’s death and subsequent life as a ghost, the fulfillment of a prophecy and, the most interesting to me, the truth about Sam and what he really is.
I’ve enjoyed the entire series so far and this latest book is no exception. Most of my favorite characters were in it and I got the answers to questions I’ve been waiting for ever since I finished book one. The story did go off in a direction that I hadn’t anticipated, which was fine, but I will admit to being a little disappointed that Ettore and Teddy didn’t have as much of the focus as I was expecting; they were good for the set up of the overall plot but then just seemed to fall by the wayside as the book progressed. I also felt that the final fight could have been a bit better but was overall happy with how it ended. Things wrapped up with a nice happy ending for all involved and the thing between Sam and Aset Ka made me grin so kudos there.
While I don’t have confirmation, this does appear to be the last book in the End Street Detective Agency Series; things at the end of the novel support that theory but I really can’t complain with how everything was brought to a close. Maybe one day I’ll get the pleasure of seeing these characters again but for now I’m happy to let them go off to a well deserved rest. Fans of the paranormal genre looking for a books with a lighter storyline and unique characters would probably enjoy this series.
I had bittersweet feels about this one when the release day came around. On the plus side, End Street Detective Agency Series is amazing, stupendous, fabulous, well frankly it's just plain great all around. On the minus side, it's the conclusion, the end, finale, final, finis, no more, well frankly that leaves me with just all kinds of boo-hooing. So as you can imagine, I hated to begin because then it would be it when I hit the last page but I couldn't not read The Case of the Guilty Ghost, the gang cried out to be read.
What can I say about Guilty Ghost without giving anything away? Not too much really but I can't stress enough that this is NOT a standalone, you have to start at the beginning with The Case of the Cupid Curse. I will say that Sam has finally accepted that he's not entirely human, although I don't think he likes it being pointed out. His magic, or paranormality if you will, continues to grow and we finally learn why he is what he is as so many factors fall into place.
We have vampires, dragons, and ghosts, oh my! Bob's brother returns, Teddy the ghost's history is revealed, the evil is uncovered, and the future is shaky but it's all yummy. RJ Scott and Amber Kell have created a world that one can get lost in and who knew it would go where it did when Bob the Vampire rented a room from Sam the human(he thinks). I have already re-read the first five stories even though it hasn't even been 6 months since my original read and I'm already looking forward to my next re-read, which probably says more about how much I love this universe than all the words I've already written. End Street has definitely earned it's prime position on my paranormal shelf.
If you like the previous books you will probably like this one. However, I dislike some of the dialogues and some characters internal struggles. Especially those that came from Sam.
It's been quite sometimes since I read the previous book but some characters do came back once I see who they are.
The parts that didn't worked for me were some the, sometimes, choppy dialogues. As well as some of the... indecisive Sam that happen from time to time.
Again, if you like how the previous book were written you would not have problem with this one. It's just not for me.
