You know when a story is titled Dick, it has to be good. And this story certainly was. It wasn’t what I was expecting—it was better!

Dixon, aka Dick, is a ladies man, a player, and a single father. He knows he’s an asshole and likes it that way.

Eden is a kindergarten teacher with a son of her own, but is living in a loveless marriage with her rich husband, Blythe.

The two meet at a presidential gala and are instantly attracted to one another. But they don’t act on it. Eden wouldn’t cheat on her husband, even if he cheats on her. And Dick is a once and done man.

However, the two meet again at his son’s school where she is the teacher.

“Damn him. Of all the men I could be attracted to, I’ve chosen to obsess over the school player.”

The attraction is still there and the sexual tension between them is hot! When Eden needs help, she doesn’t have anyone else to turn to and goes to Dixon for help.

“I know I shouldn’t want you, but I do. I want you so bad it hurts. If I looked irritated, it’s only because I haven’t been able to fuck anyone else.”

There are lots of secrets, feelings, and emotions revealed throughout this story. Like I said in the beginning, it was so much more than I expected. I expected a hot story and this definitely had some steam to it, but there was also love and hope. There was family, friendship, and second chances.

I loved the secondary characters, Ma, Ge, and Jenna, and of course, all of the children. I certainly hope Ge and Jenna get a book next! While I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it did at times go back and forth a little too much for me. Overall, though, I adored this story and look forward to more from this author! ~ Tiffany, 4 stars

Dixon, AKA Dick, is a billionaire. However, he is not your typical suit-wearing billionaire. He is more comfortable in jeans and hanging out with his two kids.

Eden, the wife of another, is in a loveless marriage, and as things escalate she knows she needs to get out.

I really liked this book. I didn’t fall as hopelessly in love with it as I was hoping. Dick could be a dick, but not as much as he kept implying. He really was a big softy when it came to Eden. I guess I was hoping to see more of his alpha “dick” side.

Eden was very sweet. She faced some very tough choices in this book, and I think they were handled very well. And when the secrets she has been keeping come to light, you can almost feel the nerves she has. She surprised me with her strength at times. She was by no means a weak woman, but she stood tall when others would bow their heads and slink away.

Overall the story was good, and I enjoyed reading it. There were some scenes that had me clenching my thighs, and some that had me laughing out loud.

I would very much like to read more from this author. ~ Devlynn, 3.5 stars

Dick by R.C. Stephens was a great 5 star read told in dual POV.

Dixon (Dick) is a divorced father and known playboy, with a cocky attitude.
When Dick attends the presidential gala he meets Eden, he is instanty intrigued by her until he finds out she is married. But married women have never stopped him before until he discovers she is his son’s teacher. Though history has other plans.

Eden is not happy in her marriage and is used as a trophy wife instead of being truly loved by her husband who cheats on her. When Eden meets Dick at the gala she realizes that Dick was her childhood crush.

When Eden turns to Dick for help things get very interesting, their chemistry is off the charts hot. Now that she is seperated what will happen between these two?
Will Eden finally get her ture happiness? Will Dick get past his playboy issues?

Dick was a great read that really pulled me in and kept me engaged, it was a perfectly told story of lost love found again. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. There are ups and downs and you can’t wait to see what’s next. The ending was perfect. 1-click and get started today.

“Having him so close to me makes my hormones skyrocket. His hand rubs up and down my back. I pull my head off his chest and look into his eyes. He stares back with reverence. His eyes slowly drop to my lips for a moment before he takes a big gulp.”

Ok... so.....

This book had the potential to be awesome, it just wasn't for me. Dick, that's exactly what he was. They want you to think he's this womanizing bad boy and yeah, I'm sure he is; but he seemed nerdy and just...not what he wanted you to think he was.... I wasn't impressed by him at all. The cover is hot, him being a dad and a good one at that, is hot. He was supposed to be this big shot billionaire that had casual conversations with the Obama's and was made to be in high society but.... it just didn't fit.

Then, Eden, who right in the middle after several meetings between the two we discover she's some long lost first love from when he was little; but she changed her name, then she's Dixon's teacher; also with a different name and all the while she's dealing with a husband who's terrible but then it tries to get you to realize he's not actually terrible he just experimented with cocaine that one time and it made him edgy... I wish I could count how many times I rolled my eyes and then skimmed through this story....
Maybe I'm being to crappy about it but it just wasn't for me at all. I didn't like how either character acted, I was annoyed by side characters and... it just didn't work. Best part about the whole thing was the kids.

The book sounded so promising and I was really excited to read it though it sadly wasn't as good as I'd hoped. It was just an okay read. The characters were interesting at first and made me want to know more about them though after a while they both became kind of dull and changed too much. Eden started out as a strong and confident character and then became shy and amenable. Dick was a cocky womanizer and became a loving and responsible father. Not that those characteristics were bad but it felt like they were such different people from the ones at the beginning and they didn't just develop, it all happened suddenly.

The Story:
Dixon Crawford is known for his reputation with woman, no matter if single or married. Since he is a public person everyone thinks they know the real Dick though he tries to keep some things personal and out of the media.
Eden is Jaden's teacher and knows all about Dick's sleeping around though it's hard for her to believe all that gossip when he's such a caring father and lovely person. When her marriage turns south and Eden needs help she has no other choice but to ask Dick for help.
What happens next was bound to happen.

Thoughts:
I was mad at Eden that she wanted Dick to tell her about his past and his secrets when she would have never told him her secrets. That just wasn't fair of her. Eden annoyed me generally because she once said that she didn't want a billionaire but just a normal man though this was easily said when she had all the money in the world. And Dick wasn't a normal guy anyway.

"You're killing me. I don't want him, and I agree, I want a happily ever after with a simple, stable man. I don't want the rich, billionaire playboy anymore. I have one of those, and I lead a very lonely life. I just want a simple guy that likes to do simple things."

Some phrases in the book sounded so corny. I also didn't like that some things were mentioned a few times when there was no need to, just once would have been enough. It just felt repetitive and sometimes it was like reading a monotonous soap opera. It was often dragging and I struggled to keep reading. About 80% in it got a bit better again and I made it to the end. The story had a lot of potential but there were just a few things that I liked.

It really annoyed me that

The thing with her mum also happened so fast and almost without emotion. It bothered me because this was a huge thing for Eden and it felt like a walk in the park with a few stones on the way. And afterward she didn't look back and was the same as before as if nothing happened.
There were actually a few events like the one with her mother or something with her husband that happened and just scratched the surface without going deeper. Everything was over and checked off of a list so fast. I wished to read more about what happened with her marriage but her husband wasn't present often in the book and the ending was really abrupt.

I believe that there’s a lot of room for improvement however I would give another book of hers a try.

The Price for my toughest judgment on a book so far this week goes to “Dick: A Bad Boys Novel” by R.C. Stephens.

First of all this is my first book by this author and I liked the writing style. It was fluent, flawless and the characters were well developed.

When I choose the book I knew that there might be a deal breaker inside as the blurb announced a marriage. But I knew that depending on the handling that might be OK and actually it was. Edens husband was … lets say it this way – Dixon had a fitting name for him.

I liked Eden – she was interesting developed and the chapters told from her PoV were well written – I could understand her and follow her line of thinking.

And with some nice side characters like “Ma” there was enough Background story to create a dialogue between the characters that felt real and not staged

I liked also the reasoning behind the “Dixon/Dick” naming … even though – Dixon’s own thoughts on that came a little late into the story. And it was also Dixons PoV that makes my decision on the rating difficult.

I liked him he was nicely developed and a great guy but his “inner dialogue” that showed his PoV to the reader felt strange at times. I am a woman – but I felt it hard to believe that a man would think stuff like that – well I guess we would have to ask a man on that and hope for an honest opinion.

At a certain point I came to terms with his way of describing things and I can live with it as the story paced nice and the storyline itself was good, but still his side of things felt staged and forced at times.

And because his PoV is 50% of the book it does make a difference – so I think this is where I really need the 0.5 Star option – because it is not really 4 stars therefore it left me to irritated at times … especially if I consider his “hugest” obstacle and the way it was “solved” (I refuse spoilers) .

But 3 Stars would also be an insult – so what should I do ?!?

I've read a couple of books by R.C. Stephens and have enjoyed each one, even though they were all vastly different. Dick: A Bad Boys Novel is again unlike anything I've read by her and very different from what I'm reading elsewhere. I love the way the characters' backstories intermingle with each other and the fact that it takes each of them a while to figure it out. Both the main characters have suffered loss and abandonment in their past. For Dixon that altered his entire life, and when it happened in his marriage, the walls he built around his heart were high and thick. For Eden, the abandonment never truly ended, also finding its way into her marriage.
Dixon refuses to let a woman wreck his life again, however his manwhore status is legendary, thus his usual name, Dick because he is often one. He loves his kids without limit and proves to be a good friend to Eden, despite their underlying chemistry. His character is hot, sexy, fun, and loving to those who he considers family. The only bright part of his life was being adopted into his housekeeper's family and finding a brother in Ge. Ma is an wonderfully written character. She's loving and warm as well as speaking her mind when she thinks someone is screwing up.
Eden's had a hard life too and thought her husband would rescue her from her past and the loss she felt at an early age. However, he is not the husband or father she'd hoped he'd be. A chance encounter and neither Eden or Dixon can forget the other. When Dick finds out Eden is his son's teacher, he is intrigued but puts her out of bounds because of his son. But fate and chemistry have other ideas for the couple. The road is more than bumpy for both Dick and Eden, but the end result may be more than either could have wished for.

Four and a Half Stars.

After reading and loving HALO by R.C.Stephens, I knew I had to read more of her amazing works.

*Dick*: A Bad Boys Novel, is a wonderful story of falling in love, and second chances, but with real life events and upsets, that are more likely to happen to any of us rather than in a Romance story.

I did have a problem at a couple of stages in this story, as there is *cheating* (it may be justified cheating but....) I really was unsure if I wanted to carry on. But don't let that put you off, as the story plays out the reader will find themselves cheering for the H&h more and more.

Dixon (Dick) is the Hero, with more maturity than his 28 years. He's a self made man, after vowing to himself he would look after and love his wife and family for all he was worth. He came from nothing and had no intentions for himself or anyone he loved to go back there. Then the bubble popped.

Eden is wasting away in loveless, heartless marriage. The only thing keeping her going is the love she has for her son, until she meets Dixon. Things spin out of control and the roller coaster ride of secrets and mysteries unravels.

As I said, I was taken with Ms. Stephens writing, and now after this second book, I am definitely a fan!

HEA:
“You're my son's teacher, Eden. I also find you incredibly tempting. I know I shouldn't want you, but I do. I want you so bad it hurts.”

The plot of the book was interesting and it drew me in from the first few chapters, but at times it was a bit dull and I skimmed some pages.

I both, liked Eden's character, and didn't. She was strong and capable but she was easily manipulated and fooled. I understood her need for Grant to have a normal family but she always ended up putting everyone else first which led to her being miserable.
“I'm all yours. Always have been.”

I didn't really connect with Dixon's character. He was the typical playboy who, after seeing the one, stops sleeping around because he can't get her out of his head but still ends up messing something up. Dixon's mood changed every five seconds and he was hot and cold for most of the book, which probably annoyed me the most.

Overall, the book was interesting enough to hold my attention, even though the idea wasn't really new or original, but it wasn't great.

3.5 Bad Boy Stars
I loved this story following super rich man whore Dixon "Dick" Crawford and quiet reserved teacher Eden Jenkins. The story and characters had so much potential. Eden is stuck in a loveless marriage to a super rich cheat who has no time for his wife and child. Dick is a divorced father of two who it would seem has slept his way through half of the ladies in the playground. With a reputation for sleeping around, he has no intention of ever settling down and falling in love. When their cute as hell children bring them together, friendship is the way to go........easier said than done, especially considering the attraction they are harbouring for each other. As much as I love the storyline and the characters for some reason I couldn't get invested in the main characters and even felt a bit detached from them. That said it was an enjoyable and addictive read. I was provided with a copy of this book via Goodreads in exchange for an honest review.

ERIN'S REVIEW
4 STARS

I loved this storyline. What are the chances of finding someone after so long? These two characters have overcome abandonment by their families. They have suffered through the pain of loss and the feelings of unworthiness. They have both grown so much in the time they have been apart. Dick still has some emotional revelations to come that will leave you in tears of joy. Eden has to decide what it is she wants and what she feels she deserves out of life. The secondary characters played a big role in this storyline. I don’t want to give anything away, but if you love books about finding lost love, this is your book.

This book has me off somehow. I enjoyed the premise of the story and the outcome. But I was a little disturbed by the road getting to it.  Both the main characters having been in a bad/rough/sad childhood has think about love so differently. And once they get together , they know that they need to rescue each other.  It was a well written, good book, but there are some moments that I had to shut my kindle down and walk away.

Guy was a manwhore, no doubt, but there was a HEA and no cheating by the h or the H on one another. Now, she was still married when she was with Dixon the first time but her marriage was nothing and the husband has other woman. I hated her husband for the way he treated her even he he did "try" for 10 minutes at the end. Too late. Also, Dixon turned out to be a good guy, even if he was gross to me at the start. He only has eyes for Eden though which is good. There is an epilogue and a HEA.

I think Dixon aka "Dick" should be called anything but that. I get were the nickname is coming from and it does stand true to how he was with the use them and leave them kind of girls, but I just loved him too much to ever feel that nickname to suite him. Dixon is such an amazing father to his little daughter and son.

Honestly, I couldn't get enough of the sweet way he never failed to interact with them. Sigh. It's pure joy to read about a man who adores his children to the ends of the world. I know that should be something natural being a parent, but it wasn't the case for his ex wife or for Eden's husband.

Both Eden and Dixon/Dick had a very sad, depressing and emotionally hard childhood. Just reading about the moment Eden saw her mother for the last time, broke my heart. I didn't expect her mother to be so cruel yet my heart broke for Eden at the same time that Dicks did as well. I hate her mother with a passion, even if it was such a brief moment that we had with her, I just can't imagine how Eden must feel. The way her emotions were explained within the words on the pages? Breathtakingly good. Just amazing. I felt like I was right there in the moment. I adore RC Stephens writing style.

Eden was a very strong, calming and nurturing character. She knew how to be around children, and being a teacher, just proved how much she adored them 24/7. Having a son of her own is her pride and joy in life. But, having a husband of over 9 years, who barely knows anything about being a husband let alone a man to a woman, who he is married to, is like saying a fish knows how to breathe outside the water for longer than a few seconds. Meaning, not very much.

I absolutely hated her husband. I don't use that word often but I think saying that in this situation is putting it lightly.

I guess I could understand how Eden fell for his good looks, humor and that rare occasion of him acting rebelliously. BUT. There is a huge but here.

With her being a strong character as mentioned, that has a specific limitation to it in my point of view. I loved the way she was with her kid and with Dick's kids as well. She brought a sense of calmness and sweetness to the overall sad and somewhat scary life that she lived outside of the relationship that she developed with Dick.. That being said, I can't see how she would stay with a guy for over 9 years, even though she knew that he was cheating on her, he barely noticed her desires in the bedroom, and worst of all, he wasn't any kind of father to her children.

Now, I understand a certain point to this. Her sad childhood and her not wanting to repeat her parents mistakes does bring in some parts to her justification but I personally don't see how it's fair to stay with a guy that is acting as anything more than an excuse of a human.

Again, that being said, and with the way the story was progressing, I loved the way the author portrayed the emotional side. No matter what the scenario, whether I personally agreed with it or not, she KNOWS how to write a story with emotions. I cried, laughed blushed and even, nearly, threw my kindle in anger, throughout the story. That in itself speaks volumes.

But again, personally, I just didn't feel like the way her relationship developed with Dick, of whom they both realized were friends since they were little (and when you read the backstory, your heart will melt at how sweet it was) was right? I mean, from the very first moment they glanced at each other and started talking at that event, I FELT their spark. It was great. I just didn't like that what she didn't want to repeat in her parents mistakes, ended up, being kind of a mistake in my eyes on her part. This is all just personal points of view and I'm hoping not to spoil anything here, I just didn't feel that no matter how amazing of a father Dick is, and how sweet she is, the way their relationship blossomed... made sense in being the "right" choice.

Ugh. I really don't know how to explain it other than end up spoiling it so just read it and you'll see what I mean. And whether you agree with my POV in that specific instance (each to their own opinion) you'll see what I mean.

One other small part, I often felt the story was moving a little slow at times. In a way I kind of expected for the ending the happen the way that it did and that did dampen my overall perspective but I was happy at the same time.

DICK is a story that is as sad and heartbreaking as it is sexy, sweet and addictive.

Most of the time, I loved the characters strong personalities.

I also adored how much went into the interaction and presence in both the main characters every day lives with their kids. I haven't read very many books with so much emphasis on characters kids, and this was just a breath of fresh air that I couldn't get enough of. I was smiling like an idiot so much that I think at one point I had to do frowning exercises to make sure my face wasn't permanently stuck ;)

With a dashingly smart and sexy billionaire that would melt any girls heart with his way towards kids, and a girl that can agree to have had a scaring childhood that tainted her life decisions, comes a story that is very different to many romances out there.

It's both dark and sweet; sexy and soulful; tearful and joyful. Overall, a story with a very strong emotional connection between the characters and the reader.

This is a classic example of the fact that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover…or its name! When I was asked to read and review this book by the author, the name of the book threw me off a bit. However, I read the synopsis and found myself intrigued. Once I began to read it, I found myself completely pulled into the story and found a delightful bit of a twist I didn’t see coming. And so I read on and once I finished the book, I found myself looking forward to reading more books in this series (although I believe, given the ending of this one, they will probably be stand-alones).
Dick has been a dick to many women, hopping in and out of their beds, never getting attached. He shows them a good time and then heads home, alone. He’s a successful entrepreneur and although he loves what he does, his business partner makes going into the office or business meetings a chore. He’s going through the motions of life with one exception – his kids.
This man completely adores his two kids he had with his ex-wife. He spends as much time as he can with them and although I honestly expected him to be a father who isn’t very involved in their lives, I am happy to say I was dead-wrong!
And our heroine, Eden, well she’s an elementary school (kindergarten) teacher at the same school where Dick’s kids attend. And Eden has heard all about Dick’s conquests – both with the mothers as well as their nannies. He has a very naughty reputation with the women around the school as a very talented partner, and of course, Eden has heard the stories too. But lucky girl, Dick’s son and Eden’s son suddenly develop into a solid friendship, basically forcing Dick and Eden to interact. Which would be fine except for the seriously huge sparks bouncing back and forth between the two of them (for those of you who have issues with cheating, I would still recommend this book, by the way).
But then Eden gets to see the part of him he doesn’t show anybody. She sees him being a dad, and this, for a woman married to a man who is as cold as a fish to not only her, but also to her son. It’s such a black and white difference, that Eden can’t help but see it and wish desperately that her son had the same. Not only does Dick turn out to be an amazing dad, when the chips are down and Eden needs a true friend, she is shocked to discover Dick steps into those shoes and is happy to be the one to do it…
“Eden, what’s going on?” He stalks toward us with a worried tone. When he takes in my cheek, his face scrunches and his jaw begins to tick. “What’s going on?” “I’m sorry to involve you. I didn’t know who else to ask. You know. . .someone that isn’t related or has ties to Blythe [her husband]. . .” I begin to explain. He pauses and his hand runs gently over my cheek. “We should get you ice,” he says then his attention switches to Grant [her son.] “Hey, buddy. How are you? I don’t have Jaden [his son] today. He’s getting dropped off with his sister tomorrow afternoon.” He crouches down to Grant’s level. Grant doesn’t answer. He tightens his hold on my leg. Dick remains at Grant’s level and looks back up at me. “Eden?” he asks questioningly. He can tell my son looks traumatized. I can’t hold on anymore. One stray tear falls down my cheek, followed by another, followed by a stream of tears I must have been holding on to. …”I’m sorry, I’m such a mess.” “Don’t apologize. I’m gathering you left. . .”…”Yes.” I smile through the tears. “It’s probably about time. You guys are not staying in a hotel. You are coming with me,” Dick says, still holding on to Grant…”Dick, wait. I can’t. . .I need to stay here. . .until my attorney works everything out,” I begin to explain, but he walks through the front doors and passes the valet his ticket. “Eden, I have three empty rooms in my house.”…”Dick, please, I have my car here. I can’t possibly stay with you,” I plead…”…”We’re friends, right?...so what’s the big deal?...”
Of course, what happens when you put two people together under one roof who are not only strongly attracted to one another, but also have reason to truly trust one another? Well, this is a romance novel, after all!
I honestly found myself loving this book! I found myself being pulled in to Eden’s world and found myself wanting to see her find happiness. I also found myself really liking Dick. He was like an onion; there were many, many layers to peel to get to the center but it was worth peeling them back to see the true man he was inside, the man he hit from most of the people in the world.
This is one of those books that knocked me off my feet in surprise, it was not the book I thought I was going to be reading and I admit it, I judged it by its cover and its name and I was very wrong to do so. I have read another book by this same author, Wild Cards, and gave that one 4.5 stars. R.C. Stephens is quickly becoming a new go-to author for me! Check it out!

I received a copy of this book for my honest review. I like the writing. The author does a good job with her writing style. Dick is the bad boy that you come to love. Eden had so much to deal with coming out of a unhealthy relationship. At times I struggled to connect with the characters. However, it was nice to read a book about characters who are dealing with real life issues. There was so much going on in this book that I felt like it moved a little to fast in solving every problem. It was a quick read for me and I will continue to read from more from this author.

3.5 stars
I received a copy for a honest review.

Dixon "Dick" Crawford is literally a dick because he's a known manwhore. He is wealthy, loves his job and his kids. On the night of a gala he meets Eden Jenkins, a beautiful woman he's instantly attracted to and she's closer than he thinks. Eden is his son's school teacher and because of this and other reasons, she is off limits.

This book started off well. I liked the premise of the story 'manwhore meets pure woman' and it was executed well except for some parts I couldn't really stomach... But I'll talk about that later. This is why the 3.5 stars.

The MC, Dixon "Dick", is not much of a Dick but he likes to make other people think of him this way not to attach to him too much. He is your classical alpha male who wants to have things under control but not the obnoxious type. He was probably the character I liked the most in this book because he had a personality.

The other MC, Eden, is Dick's opposite. She is the pure and honest girl who doesn't want to do any wrong to the world. She is in a lonely marriage with a loveless husband who only uses her for show, and she is sick of it. I must say, at the beginning of the book there were some choices I liked from her, but after some point, I completely rolled my eyes at most of what she did. I understood her reasons, above all towards the end, but I couldn't agree with her. Most of the book she looked spineless, she victimized herself and always put others first. Wrong! I know you are a nice girl and all, but you also need to think of yourself for once, get out of your comfort zone. Many of her actions were contradicting, in fact she was my least favorite character of the novel.

The other side character looked better, Ge and Jenna more than anyone. It could be cool to have their own book, eheh. But beside them and Dick, I felt the "heroine" (in all honesty I wouldn't call her like that) flat and weak. She doesn't REALLY stand up for herself and her son until the half of the book, but even there she seems as if she's influenced by Dick and doesn't think about what she truly wants and how she wants to deal with things. A character like this is somebody I do not fancy to read in a book. She should've been more developed, IMO.

Now let's talk about the other things I didn't like much. Besides the flat MC, it felt totally uninviting to continue the reading when

Still regarding Eden

And again, still about our MC:

I'm saying it again, I would have loved more if our Eden would have stood up for herself. She is a good mom with no doubt (besides for some choices) but she needs to toughen up. If her journey went like that, I wouldn't have all these critiques to move on her. This and the predictable actions and some lines worth of eye rolling were what lead me to this rating. Besides this, I have enjoyed the book - or else I wouldn't have finished it.

Dixon or Dick is a Rich guy who is divorced with two small kids. But he is more than just a single dad. He got burned once and so he isn't going to be tied down to a women again. He sleeps around and doesn't care with whom. Many arich lonely mothers and his kids school. He is a Dick; hence the nickname and a reputation for sleeping around.

Eden met Dixon aka Dick at a Presidential gala. She is also his son's kindergarten teacher… She knew about his reputation but was he more than just want people called him "Dick".

Dick found interest in Eden but she is married and his son's teacher. Eden and Dick's son are friends so they are thrown together by their kids. But it isn't until she has trouble with her husband and she needs help that Dick obliges without hesitation.

Dick is beyond tempted by her and she isn't as innocent as he thought. A friendship of sorts turns into something more. What's in store for Eden and Dick? What's type of trouble is Eden in with her husband?

I loved this story. There Dixon or Dick who is on the outside a big asshole. He sleeps around with mom's at his son's school and some are married. He doesn't care. But Eden sees who he is with his kids and family and who he is with the women or outside world and fears getting close to him for many reasons.

Eden is this sweet, innocent women who is in a horrible marriage where her husband isn't there for her or their son. She becomes friends with Dixon because their sons' are friends and it turns into more. I love it. There is so much wanted heat, desire between this two but she is married and is unsure of him. She likes the Dixon, he is at home and with his kids but is afraid of the Dick part of him. I know it sounds like he has a double personality but really doesn't. He is the real person with his family and gives everyone else his Dick persona. He is a complex character and I love that. I can't spoil it for you and tell you why. But he who he is and he doesn't apology for being him.

This is amazing written book that makes the characters have layers to them. I also love that there is a line they can't cross and this bring a lot of heat and desire that they have to fight against. Its steamy hot! I would one click this one for sure! Amazingly hot! Go meet Dixon aka Dick and decide for yourself about him.

Dick is a different story in the sense that this involves more than just the alpha male looking to take what he desires. The piece that really played to my heart strings what the level of love and sacrifice both Dixon and Eden were willing to go to love and protect their children. This is more than the typical romance of two people drawn together with a deep connection, this is a story about rising above, about thinking about the choices of one’s actions, and finally determining what is best for all parties involved regardless of the heart. It is about forgiving the past and embracing the present in order to enjoy the future and to find true happiness.

Yes, this is the story of a sexy, self-made billionaire who is known for his playboy status. However, what I appreciated about Dixon was the level to which S.C Stephens revealed little by little the hidden layers that made up the emotionally scarred man named Dixon; a man working hard to protect what was left of his heart. After years of pain and abandonment, Dixon had decided that by embracing the life of a player and giving in to the love ‘em and leave ‘em lifestyle is what is best to simply satisfy his carnal needs; hence, earning him the nickname Dick. However, when Eden stumbles into his life, Dixon find himself instantly drawn to her in a way he has never felt before. What is it about this woman that calls to him?

Eden is a woman with a past she is desperate to hide. Ashamed of the upbringing she faced and an event that led to a life decision she would rather forget, Eden finds herself in a loveless marriage. Believing she owes her life to her husband, Eden struggles with the strong feelings she develops when she meets Dixon and the duty and obligation she believes she own her husband and ultimately to her son. So how can one rectify the needs of the heart, the matters of the head, and the realities of the situation? And how does one justify the choice they make when children are involved?

In a story filled with ups and downs, heated chemistry and banter, and the struggles of the heart—as well as a tiny twist to the connection—Dick will give you a story that will have you squealing with delight and sighing with contentment.

Dixon & Eden...

I was so looking forward to this book! And I was NOT disappointed!!!! LOVED!!!!

I mean when you are seriously HOT, Rich, A fantastic Dad, and have 10” in ur pants…..whats not to love??

I’ve not read this author before but I am now a HUGE fan. The story was just amazing and the writing fantastic. The characters are so deep and flawed but also amazing and heartwarming. **sigh**

Dixon has an alter ego….Dick. He is a man-whore/Dick. He’s kind of an asshole/Dick. He’s packing in his pants/Dick. And there’s the whole play on words….Dix/Dick.

But deep down he’s just Dixon/Amazing. He’s a great guy. Loving and caring and just adores his kids. He was married and loved married life. She burned him and on top of his awful childhood...he’s not been the same person since.

Eden is in a terrible marriage in which she only stays for her son. She’s a kindergarten teacher and just the sweetest most down to earth person you could ever hope to meet. She’s also very unhappy. At twenty-eight years old she feels eighty-eight. She rarely goes out and her husband ignores her completely. They only have sex like once a year! And she seems find with it. Until….she runs into Dick at a presidential dinner with her husband-Dick is enamored and Eden’s….remembering.

They know each other from their childhoods and there is something there from before. She realizes this way before he does. She’s also married, which doesn’t matter to him too much, but she doesn’t want to cheat on her husband. But boy does Dick bring out the woman in her!! This sweet woman is pure lust in bed!! Hawt!!!

They find each other again at his child’s school. She just happens to be his son’s kindergarten teacher!! All sorts of things happen to these two people that push and pull them in their “relationship”. The way this author weaves the heaviness of marriage and divorce with the heaviness of overcoming childhood to the happiness of finding love again and realizing family doesn’t have to be blood and people do love you.

I can’t say enough good things about this book! LOVED!!!! Can’t wait to read more by this author!!!

Highly Recommend!!!

This was a first read by this author and I will say that I enjoyed it. It is told thru opposing POV's.

This is the story of Dixon Crawford, a man with money, divorced with two young children, a ladies man and someone who doesn't want any relationship ties anymore. He meets Eden, a young school teacher in a love-less marriage at a Presidential gala they are both attending. They are immediately attracted to each other. Eden is there with her rich husband Blythe, expected to play the loving wife roll.

We see just what a nasty man Blythe is to Eden.....he is a workaholic and pays no attention to Eden or their son Grant. He has affairs and doesn't care what Eden thinks.

"You're my wife, Eden. I expect you to act accordingly. I don't expect you to go hop in bed with the technology playboy. Besides, I saved you, Eden. You owe me. You owe it to our son to behave respectfully."

The attraction between Eden and Dixon grows, but neither act on it as Eden is his son's teacher and clearly, Dick has a reputation of being a man-whore. But they are thrown together more often since both of their sons become fast friends.

However, when Eden needs help, she has no one to turn to except him. And when Dick helps her out, we see what a thoughtful, caring man he really is and not how he is portrayed in the media.

As this story plays out, there are secrets from the past that are revealed and some stubborn moments from both Eden and Dixon left me frustrated at times.

Annoying woman. Eden tops the list.

All of the secondary characters, Ma, Ge, Jenna and the kids were wonderful. I got such a sense of family through their interactions.

I was a little disappointed in how this ended with Blythe. I expected something a little "bigger" to happen just given his personality and how possessive of Eden he had been and so that fell a little flat in my opinion, but overall I enjoyed this story and would recommend it.

Dixon Crawford is a rich divorced dad with two kids who are his world. But when it comes to women, he is a serious player.

When Dixon runs into Eden at a Presidential gala he is attracted and curious about the beautiful woman. Knowing she is married and finding out she is his son's teacher should make her off limits but Dixon can't stop thinking about Eden.

But when their friendship turns into something more and Eden finds herself needing Dixon help, can he step up to be the man she needs?

I will be honest there is an element that is a trigger of mine in this book, fidelity. But Eden was not some bored housewife that has too much money and too little attention from her husband. She wanted out of her marriage, she was unhappy and only stayed with her deadbeat husband because she felt he "saved" her at one time and she honestly wanted a stable life for her son. I am not saying her actions were right but I understand.

Dixon aka Dick is a complete man whore. He makes no apologies for it either. But when he meets Eden, he starts to realize how empty his life truly is with the exception of his children. I loved how R.C. Stephens explored the depth of Dixon. Because of personal betrayals from two important people in his life it shapes his outlook on life and love.

Dixon and Eden both had demons from growing up that scared them. For Eden it just reinforced her belief that her husband " rescued" her, leaving her feeling that she had to stay with her husband even though the marriage was over. Dixon's past just made him more determined to excel professionally.

The chemistry between the two was off the charts! I think it was so forbidden at first that made it so hot but later it was their connection. I guess there are some hot, steamy benefits from falling in love with a reformed man whore!

Dick A Bad Boy Novel is the latest offering from R.C. Stephen's and one I was eager to read especially after reading the blurb and of course the title might have had something to do with it...

My name is Dixon Crawford—my friends call me Dick.
I’m rich, divorced and I have two small kids.
When it comes to women, I like to play the field. I don’t want to ever be tied down again.

I met Eden at a Presidential gala and, yes, I was intrigued. When school started in September I was shocked to learn Eden was my son’s kindergarten teacher…

I’d slept around with the lonely rich mothers at the school and had earned a reputation.
A reputation Eden knew about…

I soon discovered that innocent Eden had secrets of her own. I also discovered she was beyond tempting. Giving her a little friendly help turns into something bigger than I ever imagined….

My name is Dick. I'm told I'm an asshole, but you will need to read my story and decide for yourself!

An intricate story of love, loss, abandonment overcoming obstacles and learning through growth and strength to love again. Although I enjoyed this story at times I felt it wasn't really grabbing my attention as the plot in some areas felt a little flat for me personally. Some points dragged on and other times I felt it rushed. The character's had depth and were mostly likeable but I just could connect to Eden in some parts of the plot I felt some of the things she dealt with weren't handled realistically. Told through dual narrative I found myself preferring Dixon's. I would recommend to other readers as overall it was 3.5 star read for me.

This book starts with a bang very easy to get into and entices you to keep reading and that just the prologue.

Dixon is a dick his words not mine. A divorced father of two, he fuck anything that breathe so he has built quite a rep as a player.

Being in a loveless marriage Eden is a bored young housewife who just wants her husband to pay just a little bit of attention to her. She's beautiful and he only see her as a trophy wife.

Eden wants out of her loveless marriage her hubby is inattentive to her and their son and he berates her for acting like a whore even though he sleeps around.

Dixon becomes a great friend and is there for her during her separation he wants her but doesn't want to want her, he has issue from his broken marriage.
You can feel the sexual chemistry between Dick and Eden and you hope they end up as a couple.

I loved this book I will admit the title lured me then the great blurb. I'm glad it lived up to the story. It has it's fair share of complications and drama you're always keep entertained and wondering was going to happen next.

Great story highly recommend!!!
