Jessica Beck is the penname of an author who has been nominated for the Agatha Award and named an Independent Mystery Booksellers Association national bestseller nearly a dozen times.

This is the first Jessica Beck story I've ever read. and it is a short one so a good place to start in the Donut Mystery Series it is 21.5. Only 10 pages, and a Christmas Quickie. Lol, if you like Donuts and mystery you might enjoy this...I may delve deeper into Jessica Beck now that I've had a taste...

Um...so there was Christmas and there were doughnuts and there was a crime and there were suspects...and that's where it fell apart. The resolution of the mystery (the clues) made no sense because everyone would have held the same clue.
Also, Suzanne was super duper obvious when she called out the person's name in front of everyone else.
So...yeah...okay.

if anything this should have been added as a bonus story after Criminal Crumbs (#21)

Sweet concept, but felt too rushed for a mystery -- even in a short story format.

I didn’t pay attention to how short the book was. Shame on me. Shame on the author for selling a book with 10 pages.

Fun little holiday mystery

Suzanne uncovers a thief at a holiday party. How she solves the mystery is worthy of Sherlock Holmes. Read with a cup of egg nog.

I bought this because I wanted to see if I would like this series since this author writes under different names. I am MAD because its shameful for an author or publisher to charge for an essay and not even warn the customer!! Makes me want to NOT read any of the other books from this author and the many alias he/she writes under. I loved the Pizza cozy series and I really wish Tim aka Jessica would continue with that series. Despicable!!!!

Too Short Not Worth Buying

I cannot believe Amazon charged for this, it is about 10 pages with absolutely no point to it except to make Suzanne look smart, Jake dumb and her Momma an Angel of good works except she brags about her help and threatens those she helped. This series jumped the shark two books ago and I am sorry to saying I will not be reading Beck again. It makes me sad but it is just not the fun series it used to be.

What an absolute waste of money! I purchased this book since I follow the series and didn't want to miss anything. The story seemed like 5 pages long and it was one 'scene' basically. I have purchased many other short stories that were well written and didn't seem short at all. This book had NO point at all.

Appropriate for Christmas

This was an easy read that took a short length of time to complete. Even so it was very pleasant to read . I recommend this to everyone, imagine no bodies, no murderers and still a good story.

Just Jessica's Style

Sweet, curious. I am not crazy about short stories but usually enjoy Jessica's full length copies.
Was looking for Christmas recipes.

I didn't see it was only 10 pages until later. That was just too short for me. I was done reading it in 2 minutes. I love Jessica Becks books but this way not worth the time.
