Secret agendas, and hidden plans, begin to unravel after chaos erupts on the plane. Nikki is not willing to lose the love she has found in Adam over a flight plan gone wrong, and Adam is determined to risk it all for the love of his woman; revealing the beast that resides within.

Can Nikki accept that her new husband has hidden this side of himself from her, and what about her own secrets exposed? Will they even survive the flight long enough to find out, or to have the honeymoon they really wanted?

Find out in this tale of love, lies, a honeymoon, and a hijacking.

** Read as part of the Gathering Darkness: A Paranormal Romance Collection **

~ 3 Shifted Undercover Stars ~

Shifted Undercover is a short story which starts of hot. It gives a small taste of the Alpha Division series since this story takes place in that world. I was a little unsure going into this story, but kept at it and ended up enjoying the story even though a few things felt too quick.

As for our couple I would have liked more background on them and their courtship. I never fully invested into their relationship. It is believable, but felt too quick.

Shifters Undercover was a good short read.

REVIEW

*May contain spoilers *

Nikki is keeping something from her new husband. But she is not the only one. Adam and Nikki haven't been married long but both are keeping something from the other.
When Nikki finds out what her husband Adam is and whom he works for all crap hits the fan pretty much. Adam is determined to keep Nikki safe but she is a strong and determined female. Nolan wants neither of them to tell each other their secrets but it happens. Their boss now has no idea what to do when both are taken hostage. I enjoyed this story, as I loved the Alpha Division series by this author. Very well written and tons of action and suspense and super hot romance.

I read this book in a bundle Gathering Darkness.

I read this book as part of an anthology.

Adam and Nikki are heading off on honeymoon, they can't keep their hands or eyes off each other. Nikki has to gain some control of her emotions and get on with her undercover job.

It appears both Adam and Nikki have kept a secret.

There's a good balance of loving couple smooching and danger and angst.

Nikki isn't a woman that needs protection, she knows how to kick ass, but it just happens that Adam is a tad stronger and faster than her and has some built in weapons!

Adam, he smolders around Nikki, he can't help but want her most of the time, he also can't help protecting her even if she does state she can cope.

It was fun having a character from previous books appear in this book, it's one Im fond of!

A great addition to the Alpha Division series.

Shifted Undercover is an action packed novella from start to finish. Nikki and Adam are newlyweds and on their way to their honeymoon destination when Hell breaks loose on the plane. Their marriage is tested when secrets they both carry are revealed. I enjoyed this book. The chemistry between Nikki and Adam is sizzling, the action is awesome and the story flowed at a fast pace. Shifted Undercover is a wonderful standalone addition to the Alpha Division series.

A Great Read

This was a fast paced, high energy book with a great love story tied in. I'm a huge fan of C.E. Black's Alpha Division series so I was excited to jump into this novella. Well it isn't necessary to have read the Alpha Division series before this book, it may be helpful.

It's got everything!

A beautiful CIA female who has not told her new husband. A member of a government special division for shifters, who has not told his secret to his new wife--he is a wolf. They are on a plane headed for their honeymoon. But they are tasked with keeping an eye on a prisoner being transferred--and neither knows the other has that assignment. The prisoner's brother and his gang hijack the plane and the action begins. Lots of loving and characters you would feel aware friends. A winner.

Newlyweds Adam and Nikki's start to their honeymoon doesn't go quite as they'd hoped when their plane is hijacked, however, things are not quite as they seem as the two newlyweds are both hiding a secret from the other, will they survive the flight ? And will their marriage be over before it's even started !
A quick read with a good amount of chaotic action, I like the chemistry between Adam and Nikki and that this is slightly different from the usual shifter romance.

Well written actions and steamy sex.

Unfortunately I read that short story after the second volume (which was free) and have the feeling that I paid too much. From the (on my reader) 80 pages, the story was disappointingly over after 50. What followed were rather unrelated scenes about a newly-wedded pair needed to come to grips with their mutual lies. And of course the nevessary second sex scene.

I can't bring myself to give more than three stars.

I honestly can’t remember if I have read this authors work before but this author now has a new fan. This book had the perfect amount of romance mixed in with action and drama that keeps you glued to the pages!! I also love that we can just jump right into the story and not feel lost I think this is a book you re-read over and over again !!

In theory this should have been a good story!

But for some reason .....to me it wasn't.

It started off well but all too soon I found myself skim reading and then doing the dreaded thing by searching for only speaking moments as everything else had just got too boring to get thru....

sorry to the author but a huge miss on this one for me ☹

Paranormal activity.

Short read related to secrets. Danger too. Fast action at first then slows down to finish off the story. I preferred the pace at the start and felt it was too rushed at the end of the crisis. The slow section tied up lose ends.

Highjacked

Happy honeymoon while working under cover for the CIA. The flight is hijacked by terrorists and they must be subdued and the passengers must be saved. Thrilling but graphic sex.

Shifted Undercover

Adam and his wife Nikki are on an airplane to head to their honeymoon. That's the cover story anyway. Both of them have secrets and the entire plane load of passengers depend on those secrets when the plane is hijacked.

Cute, quick read. Not a lot of depth as it’s a pretty short book. No real character development. It feels more like chapters of a much larger story.

I felt this was a quick read but well written and perfectly paced. The romance and action that both Adam and Nikki have made this a story you believe in. Glad I gave this one a read.

This as a fun jaunt full of secrets and drama. The couple totally needed another attempt at a honeymoon. Vary rare for shifter stories to take place mid air.

Funny, entertaining short story of love and espionage. Maybea Shifter and his wife should not work together on a dangerous job. Or should they? Delightful.

This was my first book of CE Black and I enjoyed the read. Different start and direction for a human/shifter couple. I read both this one and book2 while on the plane. Thank you

I voluntarily reviewed this book and I have not been compensated in any way.

Nikki and Adam are flying to their honeymoon but they both also have a secret agenda for being on that particular flight. Those plans go out of the window when chaos happens on the plane but Nikki is determined not to lose Adam (the love of her life) and Adam is determined to defend the woman he loves even if it means he has to reveal the beast within him. Can Nikki accept his beast and can he accept her secret? They always say the path of true love never runs smoothly but I'm sure this is going to an extreme.

I loved this story. It contained lots of drama and how that affected Nikki and Adam describing their emotions and how that could and did affect relationship. It was all well written and everything was very clear and easy to understand.

A cute little short full of intrigue, suspense and lots of action, this book will have you on the edge from page one on. Nikki and Adam are off on their honeymoon, but both of them have a pretty big secret they've been keeping from the other, in fact, Adam has two. Will they be deal-breakers once the cat is let out of the bag? Or will fate have a hand in smoothing things over when push comes to shove. A delectable little tale you wont want to miss out on.

This was a romance that was filled with action and intrigue. Nikki and Adam are newlyweds who are on the way to their honeymoon location when the plane that they're on gets hijacked. They were a great couple with lots of chemistry, although, I couldn't understand why they even got married with both of them having so many secrets. Nothing is real if it's not based on a foundation of truth, however, I did enjoy the style of writing with it's fast pace and lots of excitement. The shifter aspect is my favorite part of the story (along with the fact that a lot of it takes place on an airplane) , and seems to be part of an awesome series. :)
