Jazzy Daniels has the perfect boyfriend, Ethan Barclay.Ethan is gorgeous, popular and a talented footballer with potential. What's not to love? Growing up in a small, sleepy English village together, Jazzy and Ethan have known each other all their lives. Nobody knows Ethan as well as Jazzy does, they really are the 'perfect couple'. But when Jazzy falls for the gorgeous Kane Leyton (Ethan's team mate and best friend) things are about to reach a whole new level of awkward. But things aren't always what they seem and what else exactly is Jazzy hiding and why?
Loved this story so much! I admit I have a weakness for anything British. The friendship and loyalty between Ethan and Jazzy was so incredible. This story portrays true sacrifice and love between best friends. The trouble started when Jazzy realized her more than friendly feelings for Ethan's best mate Kane. Throw in a few jealous girls when it seems Jazzy has all the lucky, and you've got real High School drama. A must read.
So, I really liked the blurb for this story, Jazzy who’s best friend is Ethan, are appearing to the outside world as boyfriend and girlfriend.. this isn’t the case though... this is where Kane is introduced to stir the pot so to speak.. I started reading but I wasn’t drawn in to the story immediately, and I did wonder if this would be a DNF book..
At the novel's beginning, I thought the boyfriend was a secret admirer but I had it wrong. It took a while to understand the real climax of the story I could say. Still, it eventually appears that the fake boyfriend they are talking about is a person who asks this certain girl in the story to be his girlfriend with no reason behind everything. The lesson I could say I got in this novel is that there is no way you could try out a relationship with someone and expect it to be fake for the long term without catching feelings for that person.

My fake boyfriend was a really sweet book about friendship with a little romance mixed in.
Jasmine and Ethan have been best friends forever. They are complete opposites but work together perfectly. Ethan is popular, athletic and a traditional good guy. Jazzy is sassy, unique and unpopular in comparison. They do everything together and it becomes easy to let people think they are dating. It means they can attend all the same party's and events without anyone batting an eye lid. One is expected to be where the other is.
There is a new transfer to their 6th form college, Kane. He's a football friend of Ethan's and just as gorgeous. Jazzy just can't help but be distracted by his charms. Unfortunately everyone already thinks she's taken, life is about to become very complicated.
The twist was predictable but worked well. I really enjoyed this book. 5 out of 5.
I really liked this book. I loved all three of the main characters Jazzy, Kane and Ethan. I kinda knew what was happening with Jazzy and Ethan about a 1/4 of the way through the book, but it was still nice to see the development of the characters and the relationships. I would read another book from this author and would recommend this book to a person that loves high romances...
Jazzy and Ethan have been together since they were young. Every one who knows them expects them to eventually get married but there is one minor problem and an unexpected addition. This is a good example of jealous teenagers and of how mean teen girls can be to each other. This is an interesting story with a twist that you may guess before the reveal. Good story.
A book about things that are not what it seems. The story was cute and touched up a lot of controversial subjects, lightly (birth control, teen sex, bullies, infidelity, sexual orientation, lying). My only problem is that it was a British book and the players played American Football not soccer\football maybe I read it wrong.
Was it just me or did the author over do it with the exclamations. I mean almost every other sentence ended in an exclamation mark. I still enjoyed the story!!!!!!
I'd probably given 3 stars if wasn't for the heroine. Very weak and spineless heroine. She was a punch bag to everyone, but knew how to mouth off to her parents:/ I was mostly annoyed with her character. Everything else was okay.
Loved this story. Really could relate to Jazzy and I loved Kane and Ethan's characters!!! Definitely recommend reading this story and I'll definitely be reading this story again!!!!!
This was a really good book for mature teens. I loved how it brought me into the story and it felt so real. This book was a real page turner I highly recommend it!
