I absolutely loved this story, and although the word Christmas is in the title, I really do not think it is just for Christmastime. The main focus of the book was a rocky relationship and I feel that the Christmas theme was more of a backdrop. This is not the first J.E.B. book that I have read. I love her style of writing because it is a little different than most the Amish stories I read (which I love as well by the way!). I enjoy keeping a variety of writing styles in my to-read list.
I really connected to Mattie in this book. She felt alone and probably abandoned when her husband starting work a lot, and I could imagine myself feeling the same if I were in her shoes. When she reconnected with her family I could sense the nervousness, yet she was determined to do what she thought best for her children. I admire that in a mother.
This was a quick read for me, and I highly encourage those who love Amish fiction to give it a try. I think you'll find that you'll have it read in no time!
I enjoyed the book but some of the Amish details were inaccurate. It just made the story morecunbelievable but it was pure fiction so no big deal... I guess.
I've been a huge fan of this series by J.E.B. Spredemann and was happy to discover the latest release in the series.
In true Spredeman style, the story is Christian based and very well written.
Mattie and Richard are two characters that are sweet and meant to be together, but as they are busy with raising their young family and working they are drifting apart.
I liked that Mattie returned to her family and friends in Paradise. She needed time to think and be surrounded by loved ones. It brought her and her children closer to her parents.
This novella makes you realize that communication and trust are important in all relationships, especially in a marriage.
This book is great for fans of both Christian and Amish fiction. It's also one you can share with your young daughters, mothers, grandmother and ladies in your church.
I received a copy of this book from the author and was not required to give a positive review.
Christmas In Paradise ( Amish By Accident Trilogy- book 3 ) By: J.E.B. Spredemann
Christmas In Paradise is book three in Amish By Accident Trilogy. I really enjoyed this story and the characters. This is a short novella, but Spredemann weaves a heartbreaking romance story around Christmas time. I had tears rolling down my face a few times while I was reading Christmas In Paradise. This story is about a couple , Mattie and Richard. The way Spredemann weaves this story and her character you feel like you are right there with them. You feel the heartbreak as they do . This story grabbed me at the start and did not let go till the end. When I started reading I did not want to put it down till I finished . Be sure and grab young copy to find out more about Christmas In Paradise. I was given a copy of this book for my honest review.

Spredemann does a great job bringing the characters to life; while enjoying this book, you will feel like you are among them in beautiful Paradise! The author does a great job relating the characters to circumstances that everyone can relate to including anger, frustration, loneliness, hope and love. Above all else, the author focuses on God’s love and faithfulness even when our world seems to be falling apart. Christmas in Paradise: Amish by Accident Trilogy, Book 3 : J.E.B. Spredemann
This is the conclusion of the series. Will relationships be mended, or will lives move in different directions?
The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed.Kay L. Dees reading was way too slow for my taste. I put it on my Kindle and doubled the speed to make it more listenable for me.
"I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator."
I very much enjoyed this story about Richard and Mattie Greene. It was a sad telling of the state of their marriage. Overwork by Richard leads to misunderstanding by Mattie. It is a painful telling of the consequences of failure to communicate. The love and support shown to Mattie by her father was wonderful to read. I highly recommend this story. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Christmas in Paradise #3 Amish by Accident Trilogy by J. E. B. Spredemann
Christmas in Paradise shows how communication and trust are important in all relationships, most especially in a marriage. The heartbreak of a struggling marriage of one couple and trusting loved ones in a difficult time was clear. A heartwarming story.
~I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher (no monetary gain were exchanged), this is my honest review~
Book 3 in the Amish By Accident series, a sweet story about how lack of communication can lead to a couple contemplating divorce. Once the communication gap is bridged, it allows love to flow. Mattie and Richard are in just that predicament and are ready to call it quits, but love and prayer prevail. A very heart-warming novella around Christmas.
I had the honor to review this book for the author. Mattie and Richards story is wonderful. You will feel God working on these two special people. You won't be able to stop reading this book.
