Phillip DePoy
36 books84 followersPhillip DePoy has published short fiction, poetry, and criticism in Story, The Southern Poetry Review, Xanadu, Yankee, and other magazines. He is currently the creative director of the Maurice Townsend Center for the Performing Arts at the State University of West Georgia, and has had many productions of his plays at regional theaters throughout the south. He is the recipient of numerous grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the state of Georgia, the Georgia Council for the Arts, the Arts Festival of Atlanta, the South Carolina Council for the Arts, etc. He composed the scores for the regional Angels in America and other productions and has played in a numerous jazz and folk bands. In his work as a folklorist he has collected songs and stories throughout Georgia and has worked with John Burrison, the foremost folklorist in the south and with Joseph Cambell.

Not what I expected. Flap is an unconventional private investigator who is selective about cases he takes. Love his "kind of" partner, Dalliance. An enjoyable read for a rainy Sunday.

Too Easy was right in keeping with the first book in the series, Easy. It is An offbeat mystery with loveable and unique characters.
Flap is a kind of Zen detective and his cohort, Dally owner of a nightclub called Easy - spurs him on. The two set off on a new mystery to find the Turner twins... and Lydia. The setting is the deep south in a small town - where everybody knows everybody and Flap is distantly related - they all know his "crazy" grandmother who raised him
Everybody has a story - literally has a story :) And all of the stories relate to solving the mystery

Flap Tucker Great
If you have ever read a Flap Tucker mystery you know you will enjoy it. If you have never read one, you will be reading a light mystery with genuine down south intrigue. If you don't like southern humor and good ole boy antics you should probably not read Flap Tucker books.

It's a good one...
I really enjoyed this second installment of the Flap Tucker series. It had a few twists & turns in it though it didn't quite blow my mind like the first one did...now on to the 3rd one!

A fun mystery by the author of the Fever Devlin books. Interesting cast of characters and story.
