An enjoyable addition to the Charlotte Denver series. A few punctuation errors jumped out at me but otherwise it was a quick, easy read. A good mystery, and one in which I never figured out who done it.

With Charlotte and Nathan's wedding day is rapidly approaching. Nathan starts acting suspicious and Charlotte starts wondering if he is getting cold feet.
On snowy day, a woman being pushed in wheelchair by her three sons comes into Charlotte's Plaice, her restaurant. The three brothers are recently out of prison for crimes of theft, racketeering, and several other in which Nathan had put them in jail for. Have they really reformed, and why are they back in town? The next night one of the brothers is discovered to have been killed. Is his death the result of one or more of their formal targets getting revenge?
Sherri Bryan has written a fascinating continuation of this saga. It has everything you could want. A great mystery, multiple suspects, a fabulous surprise reveals. And a great ending with touching gifts from both Bride and Groom.

Seemed like it was a very abrupt solution to whodunnit here as people were just like, yeah it was me, I did it. Oooook. Combined with Charlotte and Nathan's wedding which took up the last bit of the book, I guess the author wanted to get the mystery out of the way to focus on that! Would have liked a bit more substance to the mystery portion though.
BUT! I would like to add that after my last comparison with the H.Y. Hanna series with extremely similar set up, I am liking Charlotte Denver much more. Everyone is much less annoying here, though I suppose the Oxford Tearoom Mystery series characters are written on purpose to be frustrating but funny, even though I don't find it so. Just the frustrating part.

This was an interesting cozy mystery novella. The characters were well developed, action/mystery always present:either face forward or consistently in the background, romantic angle beautifully handled, and the resolution of the mystery solved perfectly handled also

In this fourth book of the serie Halloween Festival is held and Charlotte is preparing her wedding with Nathan. But Nathan also prepares some surprises for Charlotte. The book has nice cozy atmosphere and then with investigating murders occurred it is also suspenseful. I enjoyed reading this book and will be reading next one in the serie.

Another brill read
I find that sitting down to read one Sherri's books is the best way to chill out. Glass of wine, a mild guessing game of who did it before it is revealed, can't beat it. Once again a real neat plot. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Now what's the next one?

Wow - I think this book is the best yet I this fantastic series ❤️ It just seems to be getting better and better, can't wait to read next book.

What a great story, full of twists and turns. You'll never guess who the killer or killers really are. And what a lovely wedding with surprise wedding gifts.

10 Stars!!!
Where to start? First, this story was wonderful! It is the perfect package - intriguing plot, fascinating characters, & a definitely satisfying conclusion. I dare you not to shed at least a few tears at the ending! I'm so glad to hear that this is not the final book in the series, that there will be a book #5.

An unstoppable read
I have read all four of the Charlotte Denver books and they are all good reads. This one had the ability to scare, shock and bring tears to the eyes as the lovely heartwarming story finishes with a fairytale ending ☺

Another good book
Each book in this series is a pleasant surprise. It is a good combinations of a murder mystery and a happily ever after love story.

July 3, 2017I kept thinking I had read these characters before (not this book, but another in the series), but I wasn't sure. Turns out I'd read #1 in the series a while back.
Charlotte Denver is the owner/operator of a lovely café St. Eves, a quaint fishing town in England. St. Eves is so small, there's barely crime, but the Chief Inspector, Nathan Costello, is Charlotte's fiance. Charlotte's Plaice (nice pun on the fish) seems to be bustling with locals regularly...a café is always a nice spot for gossip.
In this, #4 of the series, a trio of brothers has just been released (early) from prison after serving part of their sentence for robbing the local hardware store. The owners were traumatized, and many in St Eves aren't thrilled the boys are back, especially since their father was a mob-like tyrant, collecting protection money from local businesses in exchange for, well, protection from his own gang of thugs! Their father died just after they went behind bars, but their mom has been awaiting their return. When one brother and then another brother wind up dead and someone tries breaking in to Charlotte's Plaice, Charlotte and Nathan find themselves investigating, all while trying to plan their wedding.
