Yes, I have a lot of books, and if this is your first visit to my amazon author page, it can be a little overwhelming. If you are new to my work, let me recommend a few titles as good places to start. I love my Dan Shamble, Zombie P.I. series, humorous horror/mysteries, which begin with DEATH WARMED OVER. My steampunk fantasy adventures, CLOCKWORK ANGELS and CLOCKWORK LIVES, written with Neil Peart, legendary drummer from Rush, are two of my very favorite novels ever. And my magnum opus, the science fiction epic The Saga of Seven Suns, begins with HIDDEN EMPIRE. After you've tried those, I hope you'll check out some of my other series.
I have written spin-off novels for Star Wars, StarCraft, Titan A.E., and The X-Files, and I'm the co-author of the Dune prequels. My original works include the Saga of Seven Suns series and the Nebula Award-nominated Assemblers of Infinity. I have also written several comic books including the Dark Horse Star Wars collection Tales of the Jedi written in collaboration with Tom Veitch, Predator titles (also for Dark Horse), and X-Files titles for Topps.
I serve as a judge in the Writers of the Future contest.
My wife is author Rebecca Moesta. We currently reside near Monument, Colorado.
I am surprised how highly rated this one is in comparison to the experience I had.
There are some interesting concepts going on here, to include the continuation of the Mandalorian Wars, a planned assault on Coruscant, mass Sith hallucinations aka illusions, and of course the Exar Kun content.
It was just nothing over the top remarkable that made me go wow, any aha moments, no gotchas found here, or even real suspense. Everything feels very much on rails, as they say, with nothing that was very much compelling.
The Mandos and Sith backstabbery is 100% as expected, Sith Holocron scene unfolded entirely as predicted, and we get nothing whatsoever for a cliff hanger at the end, minus the giant billboard of the pending Coruscant invasion - which was already loudly broadcasted and again zero surprise.
Maybe this series gets really good once you finish all the episodes together. I do get that feeling. Some comic book series are better to step back and look at as the whole 4-6 issues collectively, as opposed to reviewing each individual one at a time.
I much prefer the audio dramas for Star Wars stories as the comics always feel too short, but it's nice to see the artwork too. It's an interesting story but this "episode" seems oddly disjointed plot-wise.
Ulic puts Mandalore in his place, giving the sith an army of mandalorians. Exar is still racking up artifacts and near invincible. Blinded by ambition the sith set their eyes on the capital of the galactic republic, Coruscant.
Excellent stories. Amazing artwork. 100 percent original. Tales of the Jedi is a fantastic work of Star Wars history. If you like Legends, pick this up.
